A look around the city...

A Simple glace at the man Infront of me made me dismiss the notifications from before. He's a threat after all, and it doesn't seem like he's very friendly. The smile on his face and the laugh from his mouth don't reach his eyes. I've honestly seen more emotion in the eyes of people trying to kick my head of in the octagon. Which is saying a lot, now I see very little point in telling this devil that though so instead I say, "I appreciate you saying so." And then bringing my foot down hard,

Ding! You've gained 100exp!

Making sure the man under my foot wasn't getting up. Much to the... Disappointment? Maybe delight of the devil before me. "Hmm... Ah! You killed him? How utterly ruthless, very good though as i would have killed him my self for loosing a fight he started. Now I've got a deal for you if your interested?" The Barrel like devil jiggled as he talked, lord it was hard to not react to the stench the man gave off, that of burnt butter and pig shit. Now I wouldn't trust this barrel of a devil as far as I could throw him, which wouldn't be very far, but that's not the point. Point is why would I ever, "Depends. What's the offer?" It was both a question and a statement.

"Simple, I own the city's largest colosseum. And because of the piece of shit *PATUI* you just killed, I now need a new fighter. All fights are fair of course and you get to earn a portion of the bets placed on your matches, as a beginner Let's say... 6% . Deal" He offered his hand to me after spitting on the body beneath my feet. "Maybe, I'm still looking around the city for now. I'll stop by the colosseum later today and let you know of my decision." His smile became strained for a moment before his poker face shot backup, "Of course think it over think it over." The he shifted swiftly on his heel and disappeared into the crowd. That barrel of a devil is stronger than he looks.

After he left I picked the girl up with post haste and took her to a hospital? Honestly I wouldn't even call it a clinic, but its what we had. Beggars can't be choosers after all, Luckily thanks to magic the girl would soon be fine. "Yes sir, the girl will be fine. After multiple treatments of greed energy her body is back to peak condition, though I can't do anything about the malnourishment. She'll still live." The lady before of me was hiding her aura only, or at least I thought she was. I nodded my thanks paid what Needed to be paid and said id be back for the girl later.

Walking out of the clinic? Ah whatever, I continued walking around town before stopping for a quick bite to eat, as the characters in this game to experience hunger not as often for some races as others but still. While eating I read a few of my stream comments, most where asking where I was others expressing interest in lore of the city, so I put a poll up in chat with a few button clicks,

------------------------------

Angel: Dear Chat Do I,

A: Search the city for interesting quest?

B: Search for a library or archive?

C: Go to the colosseum?

D: Search for any sort of training grounds/guilds?

------------------------------

I did not quite expect the results. Option A got 200, Option B got 400, Option C got 0, And D well D got the overwhelming majority of 1,001 votes. So off I went exploring the city, now I suppose some might call the city beautiful, but me... Id call it dreadful. take steampunk mix it with gothic, and then drop kick it back into feudalism and boom you've got this city. the walls were stone with few windows and those didn't appear to open or if they did they were wood shutters. Gargoyles not only marked roof tops but sidewalks and some even flew around from building to building. The people were the worst part, the smell reminded me of a locker-room in high-school after gym. The streets where so crowded that I had to keep up my [Conqueror's Will], just to walk through it, Side note it let's me pressure those around weaker than me. It took nearly 4 hours of exploring the city and mapping it out in a small not book I bought off some sketchy looking Demon street vendor. I digress, before I found a training ground. Unfortunately it looked to be military, Till I passed by the building next to it bearing a sign that said, "Mercenaries guild".

Upon looking closer at the building I found Wild west saloon style doors to enter through and the preceded to watch someone get through out the bloodred brink building followed by, "IF YE AIN'T STRONG ENOUGH TO HANDLE YER LIQUOR DON'T COME IN HERE!" In a mighty bellow of a soprano voice. What? I like music okay. Speaking of I could here some coming from inside, Stepping in, while keeping both the note and the previous display in mind, I found the room to go deathly silent when I stepped through the doors even chat was only typing

The band as I found once I stepped through the doors however kept playing, a three man band counting a piano, a banjo, and a guitar. They only changed songs, and started to play some old country tune, Reminiscent of some old cowboy movie I think. Based on what I'd seen before I started off for the counter where a young looking lass was standing cleaning her hands and then a glass with her hip cocked all sassy like and an eyebrow raised, sure she had horns and a tail, but other than me she was the most human looking thing I'd seen down here. non scaly skin, no slitted eyes, just plain old eyes and skin. Though her violet hair sure gave her away.
