The Crimson Flames

Ramses continued down the burning hall the flames crawling gingerly behind him. Clawing at the air hungrily like a starved animal. Keeping his scythe at the ready he kicked a door down as he came to the sight of a blood bath between the hunters that had been sent in and the vampires that lived withing the estate. Biting the inside of his cheek he walked through the door as he spun his scythe around spinning in a fluid circle he cleaved a vampire in half before helping one of the hunters who were on the ground up before kicking one of the vampires to the ground.

"Do you call yourselves hunters or are you pushovers?!" Ramses barked out as the hunters who were still standing stood around him covered in injuries and blood. How had they managed to get a jump on stealth hunters? Being dragged out of his thoughts by the screaming of one of the men he was with just hours earlier he glanced to where the scream had came from. Seeing a older looking vampire holding one of the younger men by the throat as rage seeped out of her being. Bearing her fangs as she tossed the man in front of the group.

"How foolish are you humans to attack us in the dead of night?!" The older vampire yelled out at the group as the vampires stood around her almost like ants protecting their queen. When the realization hit Ramses gripped the pole of his scythe tighter as he focused his gaze on her.

"You must be the leader of the house" Ramses spoke as he spun the scythe around readying it as he stared her down. "I am Ramses Cykalomna. The Grimm that was sent here to restore the balance to this part of existence."

A cruel smile played on his lips as his words hit the woman hard as she stumbled back some glancing towards on of the doors of the building as the flames shot through the door he had just walked through. The flames were building fast and soon the entire estate would be engulfed in bright flames.

"And I am Jadamine Xeres. I want to know why you attack us this night while we exist peacefully in this world of mortals?" Jadamine spoke slowly as she stared at the flames with the look of pure agony contained within her eyes. The one main thought that was racing through her mind was that of her daughters safety. She dreaded the thought of her being put through this senseless slaughter.

"Because the Grand Order payed me a pretty penny to help their boys with such an insane mission. And I figured I'd take a swing at a species of the damned I usually don't get to interact with." Ramses spoke as he twirled his scythe around him as he stared at the vampires that out numbered them and at the ones who were scrambling around the house savaging what they could take from it. The realization that they had managed to catch a vampiric clan with their pants down this bad surprised him to a degree he wasn't expecting.

"You don't have to do this" Jadamine pleaded to Ramses and the group of hunters that were standing to his sides. Being caught off guard wasn't something she preferred, but she also wanted to avoid the massive loss they were about to be facing. Especially with their being a Grimm involved. In all of her life she had heard rumors of what the Grimm were but never actually knew, now she was face to face with one.

Holding out her hand using her telepathy to bring a blade from the wall to her hands she stared the men down with her fear slowly being replaced by unbridled rage. She would fight with her family even if it meant her own demise. That was something they all knew.

"I do indeed have to do this and the only way to stop this. Is by one of our groups dying in the heat of battle." Ramses said as he slowly took a stance low to the ground as he prepared himself to lunge forward. "Now it is up to you how much of your clan dies Jadamine!"

"Then let it be decided by battle" Jadamine said lunging from through her family at the man swinging the blade she grabbed at him, as Ramses spun up swinging the scythe at her.

Mathias listened into the conversation between the girl and Julius as he sat in awe. At first he was surprised by the fact that he was there but as he talked with the girl it made all the more sense to him. And merging the clans? They had chosen a perfect time to attack without knowing why. But it still doesn't make sense that it would be this easy.

There had to be something else at play that he wasn't seeing, yet what he learned from the conversation of the two vampires alone gave him everything that he needed to know. But he wanted to know more. Learn more.

Slowly rising up Mathias grabbed for his stake as Julius quickly rose up pushing the girl out of the way as a stake pierced right below his heart. Mathias' eyes widened in surprise of the sudden attack as his mind raced on what was going on.

"Run and go get help!" Julius roared at the girl as she hesitantly ran into the maze as she ran towards, what he was just now noticing. A burning estate. What in the hell was going on?

"Come on closer you cowards unless you are afraid of one lone vampire!" Julius roared at whoever it was that had shot him with the stake.

Moving out of the brush and into the clearing by the pond Mathias stood their taking a deep breath before letting his country drawl loose. "Long time no see Julius, What brings you to the Xeres estate?" he spoke his country drawl slipping from his tongue.

"Mathias.."Julius growled as he reached behind him drawing a decent sized hunting knife.
