Aurella would eventually have calmed down before looking up at her father. "I know it was just a dream...but it felt so real." She'd say her voice somewhat hoarse from the crying she had done.
"Sometimes they feel real because there is a message behind them." He would say. "You just have to figure out the meaning behind the message."
"Just have to figure out the message..?" Aurella would say in a low tone. Before looking up to her father.
"Sometimes it's best to be patient and not dwell on the matter. Because sometimes the message shows itself in various ways." he'd say in a comforting tone.
"I'll let you know if I figure it out..whenever that is." She'd say nodding slowly to her father who gently ruffled her head.
"There's no rush in having to figure it out my dear." He would say with a small smile on his lips hearing the door to the room open. He'd look to see who it was at the door. Seeing Draven at the door Julius would raise a eyebrow at the vampire confused.
"Julius there is a problem." Draven would say giving the man a stern stare.
"And what is the problem Draven?" Julius would ask slowly standing up. It wasn't like Draven to burst into a room for no reason. So for him to do so meant something had happened.
"Boris has challenged Julian for a right of claiming for Myst." The younger vampire would say his voice full of worry.
"Boris did what?!" Julius would yell out in anger. "Why in the seven hells does that Morgan want to do something as stupid as that?"
"Probably because of jealousy. But there is no stopping it now because he brought this challenge to the entire clans attention. And he is awaiting Julian's response." Draven would say staring at Julius, with several others running down behind him to the sight of the issue.
Julius would sigh rubbing his forehead in aggravation. "This is just like what happened with Ryzen fourty years ago.." He would say.
The thought of how it must have come to it was crawling through his mind. And of all things for it to be about. Was a woman. "And there's nothing I can do to stop it...Julian has to handle it on his own.
"Do you really think Boris won't do anything stupid against Julian? Rights of claiming usually lead to the death." Draven would say looking from Julius to Aurella who was listening to the conversation with wide eyes.
"You're saying my brother could die..?" Aurella would ask her voice shaking. Was this part of the real world her Father had been talking about? Where people died?
Draven and Julius shared uneasy looks before slowly nodding to one another, before Julius turned and looked to his youngest child. "If your brother decides to take up the challenge before him. Then it is a possibility."
"That is if your brother chooses to do so Aurella, there may be a chance that he doesn't decide to do so." Draven would say in a low tone. Having watch the three siblings grow up together. He was glad that they actually cared about each other. Unlike most vampiric siblings he's heard about throughout history. Especially the children of Dracula.
He felt happy that he had a hand in helping raise them alongside his adopted daughter. And he was happy with how they turned out. Even with Julius' thoughts on the matter.
"But knowing Julian as well as I know his father. He will probably take Boris' challenge without a second thought." Draven would then add before scratching the back of his head. Earning a not so happy look from Julius. "Right, probably shouldn't have said anything about it."
"Ya think?" Julius would say with a annoyed sigh before looking to his daughter who had a increasingly more worried look on her face. "Stay here. you do not need to see what violence can occur."
"But I want to go and make sure Julian is going to be okay." Aurella would say in protest. She didn't know why, but something inside of her was yelling at her to go to the scene. And watch what was going to happen. A deep gut feeling that didn't really make sense to her. Even with her wanting nothing to do with fighting.
"He is going to be okay sweetie." Julius would say in a soothing tone. "Your brother is capable of holding his own against someone like Boris."
Aurella would slip off of her bed and look up at her father and Draven. She had a knowing look in her eyes, almost as if she knew something that the two adults didn't.
"What's that look for dear?" Julius would ask most likely not going to like the response he would be given.
"I want to be there dad...I...I have this gut feeling." She would say to him as she took several steps closer to him. "You wanted me to make my choice right Father? Let me see a glimpse of the world then."
Julius would sigh rubbing his face. She was right. It's something that he wanted to ease her into. And the entire fiasco caused by Boris was the complete opposite of what he had planned. He was hesitant to even allow her to witness the barbarism that was a Right of Claiming.
It was something he had witnessed several hundred years ago. Back when barbarism was still a thing amongst the likes of man.
"And you're right about that." Julius would sigh running his hand through his hair. Thinking to himself before finally giving into the idea. "Fine you can go and witness the fight if there is a fight. Only on the condition that you do not make a scene."
Aurella quickly nodded to her fathers words before standing tall. "I promise not to make a scene and to fully support my brother." She would say to her father earning a slow nod from him in return.
