Devouring Immortal

As I turned back around to face the ball of darkness, it had amassed the size of 2-meters tall and 4 meters wide.  Further taking up about half of my room and taking the door off of the hinges along with the wall that supported the door.  I guess that it had decided to grow bigger since it didn't come after me for a bit, but instead moved about the room, swallowing everything along with some of the roof and the floor. 


There were people yelling to keep the noise down as some things were falling off the shelves in my apartment but there was nothing that I could do to move the thing.  Everything stopped falling when the ball had absorbed everything that had been near my bed.


I lived on the upper floor of an apartment that had about 50 residents, one room in front of the other, the other resident's rooms were exactly the same as mine.  The ball of light had noticed that there was a pile of my clothes.  It then started to float towards it, slowly dismembering all of my clothes, which to be honest weren't that expensive.


 Whilst I was stunned the ball had started to tear out the pipes in the wall whilst it was trying to eat the clothes.  Then water came gushing out, but then it just swallowed it along with all of my belongings.


Feeling helpless I had decided to just throw stuff in it, to further speeding up the growth.  As I  hadn't the chance to catch my breath it started speeding towards me.


Filled with fear I had just decided to run out of the apartments as the ball had given up chase when I had exited through the side doors of the complex.  I hadn't even had the time to rest before I heard tearing sounds, then there were screams.  I had decided to check what that was since my curiosity couldn't hold out.
