James and I sat outside for a while to watch the sunrise. It was quiet and peaceful. The first peace I've felt in years. The beautiful colors of the sky brightened the world around us. I wish I could've paused time in that moment because I didn't want to leave. James beside me, the bright sky, the feeling of love. I hadn't felt this love since my mother and father passed away. I never knew them very well because I was little, but everytime I dream about them, I don't feel alone.
"Lily, we should go inside. We've been out here for a while," James said as he stood up. I nodded and he helped me stand.
"Lily! James! We have to go! It's not safe here anymore they found us!" Willam ran out the door yelling.
"William what is it? Who's there?" I asked.
There was a loud crashing sound inside. William ran pulling us with him. We ran until we came across a small field of green grass. There was a tree and we walked over to sit down and rest.
"If we are careful, we might be able to make it. We just have to get past the shadows...no no that won't work, there are too many of them," William mumbled pacing back and forth. "AHA! My old home of course!" He walked towards James and I, "I know we just met and you probably don't trust me, but you are in danger. We are far from them but not far enough and if we don't leave now, it's only a matter of time until they find us."
I looked at James and he looked at me. We still didn't know whether we could trust William or not, but after everything that has happened so far, we decided to go with him. He knew more about what was going on than me and if he helps me, I have a better chance of finding Grandma.
"What about Ms. Alice? Is she going to be ok?" I asked.
"Alice? Alice is ok? My little sister is ok? This is fantastic! I thought I would never see her again!" William said with tears in his eyes. "We must find her before they do! She can come with us!"
