How about the food for station three, are we going to transport it now, or just move it then, tomorrow?" Henry
whispered.
" Ah, yeah, the food. It's better that only two from us, coming here would forward the food to them. They
badly needed all of these. So, anyone? I need a volunteer." George said.
" I may return there right away," Amado answered.
" But Uncle, there's this sack containing the food they all need for three meals I guess. You need
someone to accompany you." George insisted.
" My dinner's a bit heavenly and it energized me, well…" Amado paused.
" I'll go back with you and bring the sack containing food, doc, and just lead the way back there. Though, we just need to get back here again for tomorrow's mission, the lieutenant's order. " Henry smiled.
" Hmm, I've just received too many honorifics here, haha but anyway, thank you, Sir." Amado turned his
head and had his snappy salute to Henry.
" Uh, yes, I see. I forgot to tell you uncle while you stood up and went to the bathroom. We need to
draw close to station one and find out if who are they pointing their weapons from afar. " Henry
uttered.
Amado then nodded and smiled while lifting the sack of food.
" Yes, copy. I mean, I'm curious about those people who made us confused. But thanks to them for
reinforcing us, it gave a little comfort on our part. Their exchange of fire only means that the second
troop has given their all. Seeing those injured enemies carried on stretchers only proved how powerful
the another side too." Amado explained.
" Yes, given the longer period of hours in the battle zone was horrible energy and I think they're not
done yet. Huh! Okay, let's start moving out now." Henry ended the conversation as George helped them
get out from the new secret passage.
When Henry and Amado have left, the captain was startled by sharing his insights.
" Children, be more extra careful. We are unsure whom to trust these days, you better pack off and
silence your shadows. We're in the middle of the warzone, so reconsider getting wise at all times." He
steadfastly became silent and bowed down his head.
" Yes, dad. We'll remember that." Baldur answered while the rest nodded.
" Okay, George will discuss some plans for tomorrow." The captain said.
It was enough then George led the deepening of the rationale. It was heavily serious. Half an hour after their discussion,
two gunfire sadly echoed in the silent night. They all looked at each other with sullen eyes.
" My God, Henry and Amado." George suddenly bowed his head.
The lieutenant immediately picked up his gun and moved towards the newest secret passage. Baldur
then grabbed his gun and followed his brother-in-law. Everyone got dumb while seeing them leave so
Albrecht just ensures to calm down the women who were a little surprised about the gunshots. He opened
another pouch of dark chocolate, divided it, and shared it with Magee and Mayumi.
.
"I...I can't imagine the target of those horrifying gunfire, this is all dreadful!" Mayumi covered her face
and sobbed while running away to the bathroom.
Magee then followed her and saw Mayumi knelt on the floor, crying. With that gnashing despair over
fear of losing friends, Mayumi's heart seemed frozen and her thoughts were entangled. Magee
moved closer to comfort her.
" Mayumi...we're not yet sure if those were Henry and Uncle Amado.
" Mag, I saw how they volunteered to get back and bring the sack of food to our friends in station three.
I was a witness to how they became cheerful while arranging the food inside and made that sack a
truckload of gold. The smile on their faces before they left was still fresh in my memory. They're so
excited to bring the food to their hungry comrades. But now...there were two gunfire Mag, I feel bad
about it. Hope it wouldn't be the case."
" We'll pray it wouldn't be and they're just safe and sound." Magee consoled Mayumi who worry that
much.
Meanwhile, the silence of the night echoed all over the granite mountain and the wild dogs cried so loud
under the sober moonlight above the skies. Inside the barren field of the granite mountain were the
busy enemies treating the injuries of their comrades. A big fire lighted the place and it looks like hell
from where Albrecht stood up, using the wall telescope.
" How are they?" Magee had asked.
" Just as that, busy as bees, running to and fro, throwing bottles of fluid and crying soldiers with lost
extremities and limbs. The ground seems a bloodstream, so far, not a good sight. They were on the
waterside, some were chanting and....someone's look familiar, hmm...but it's too dark to guess who that
man is, but he's perfectly familiar, hmm." Albrecht was shocked in amazement.
"What? Please let me see who that traitor is, I mean he's that eyesore we need to bury alive."
"Shh...watch with your words, it might heighten your emotions and your decision might mold you like
him. Just take a deep breath and control your anger. It will not do you any good. Right now, we'll wait for
for George and Baldur to return and find out if Henry and Amado are just fine." The captain calmly said.
"I'm sorry Dad, I was just worried and feel so bad about Kuya Albrecht's description in the center field.
Maybe it's the Judas Iscariot selling all of us to our enemies."
"Yeah, it's how traitor does. But my child, keep your composure and have a halt whenever you're in the
height of anger. Let that man suffer from his conscience, one day you'll see." The captain smiled.
It was enough when Magee was silent and took over in suing the telescope.
"Was the man still there? It's also possible that he's one of the cooks or...." the captain asked.
" No dad, he finely dressed and casually talked to the enemies and was treated like a guest.
