Longing

One of those things that he never wants to see was this. He doesn't like it when she's not happy with him, he himself can't explain. He suddenly had the urge to hug her, he moved quickly towards her and hugged her from behind. From the time she turned her back to leave and when she was hugged wasn't up to 4 seconds. She was stunned, stood still like a statue. All kinds of feelings rush through her heart while her blood was also rising. She was bewildered and was also glad, she wanted to push him away and she also want him to hug her forever. "I really don't like it when you turn your back against me. When you choose to not be bother about me, I feel like the heavens are ignoring me. Since I came here, you have shown me great care which I never thought I would have, you made me feel very important when I think nothing of myself. I can't be considered a decent man but you were able to get along with me despite my shortcomings. If I haven't appreciate you before, right now I will like to say thank you for coming into my life and I hope you won't find me disgusting or abandon me." At first he didn't know what to say, but the moment he opened his mouth, he didn't know where those words were coming from. He knew those words were nothing but the truth. Although he had never thought about this before, he never reason the feelings he felt when with her. It was after he said all that he knew he wish to always have her beside him, but he could not explain if it was love. The feelings he had had passed the stage of lust and now at the stage of longing. Men do pass through two stage before they reach the stage of love, which are lust and longing. When a man develop interest in a girl, it was the stage of lust. Men are attracted by what they see, be it beauty, shape, prowess and other things that men see in women. The longing stage is when they tend to have more of what they have seen, they want to see more of it, want to have her around.

Juliet's heart was beating so fast, she find it weird and interesting to listen to what he had said. She can't question the feelings she had for him but she never once think about what he saw of her or his feelings towards her. She seemed to realized that it felt good to have some care for him. She was able to feel that Peter's concern for her was sincere. Although, she had her father who care for her greatly, she felt it was more astonishing that someone with the same age grade of opposite sex to care for her. It wasn't that Peter was confirming his interest in her, she knew Peter just wanted her to know that he care for her a lot and also care about the continuation of the friendship. That alone was enough for her to be fulfill. "Ok, I promise, I won't turn my back on you or neglect you again." Seeing that he didn't leave her despite assuring him, "will you stop hugging me now, dad is waiting." She really felt good being hug but she doesn't want to show it because she thought that Peter would take advantage of her.

Peter stopped hugging her and they went upstairs to meet Mr Ralph. Mr Ralph was discussing something with Smallie when the two entered. He was surprised and glad at the same time when he saw how happy Juliet was. When she returned from school, she wasn't looking good, she didn't even greet him the usual way when she returned. She quickly head to Peter's room when she got back. Now that Peter is awake, she's happy. He was also happy seeing how happy his daughter is. "Smallie, go and get their food quickly." Smallie was also happy that Peter had woke up, at least he won't be going to his room every moment to check on him. "It's good that you are awake. You wasted a lot of our meals. As instructed by our miss, I kept coming to your room with food with the hope that you will be awake so that you could eat but it seemed you were having great time over there. I can now have a rest, from going to your room and from those calls from Miss." He said. Juliet wasn't happy with what Smallie had said because he had exposed her. "Who asked you to bring that up? Quickly go and get our food I'm hungry." Whenever Peter sees Smallie, he could not help but think about him, for a young guy like that to pretend to be a housekeeper here. Although he knew from the very first day that this young guy can be dangerous, he wouldn't have give it a second thinking, if he wasn't aware that he checked his belongings without his consent. Someone who is a boss somewhere pretends to be nothing here just to spy things around, he believed he couldn't do such.

"Daddy, why are you staring at me like that?" The look on Mr Ralph face was as if he finds Juliet actions strange. "It nothing, I was just happy because after so many years, there is someone who could give you such happiness." Mr Ralph responded

"Dad why will you say such thing when he's here." Mr Ralph's words made Juliet blushed. Peter really like seeing this embarrassed side of her because it makes her more pleasing to the eye and soul. When Juliet realized that her words didn't defended her but complicated issues, she agreed to what Mr Ralph had said. "I mean to say you were wrong, I have always been happy." Her shy tone cause the two men to not hold their laughs. Hearing herself, her own voice also betrayed her, she could only lower her head to buried her shame.

"Forgive me Peter, I didn't even ask how you are feeling?" Mr Ralph said to reduce the pressure on Juliet. Peter wasn't someone who care about formalities, even he himself didn't greet Mr Ralph when he came in since he believe they are families. "Not offended at all, I should be the one apologizing for making you worry about me."

Not long, Smallie came with the dishes with two other maid who helped him to moved the dishes to the dinner room. Peter asked Smallie to join them on the dinning table saying that he want to use that to thank him for his efforts while he was on a journey, Smallie shamelessly accepted and gulped down the food like it was his last super. Juliet also asked how Peter would thank her for her efforts, Peter replied that they would have to talk about it when they are alone. Juliet reacted by stoning him with the morsel she was about to eat.
