Chapter 3: Awkening

Even though I know I have this marvelous power, I have no idea as to what it is, or how to use it. For the time being, I've got to focus on finishing the training. I should have about two days left. This would normal be impossible for my past self, but who knows for the reborn me.

With this, I searched the area for my bag, but suddenly realized that I fell in the water with it on. So it must be at the bottom of the endless depths of this lake. With this, it was forsaken by me, and I started to head out of the cave with just the clothes on my back.

As I pulled out the holographic map to look as to where I am and where the goal is, I noticed an extremely strange phenomenon. Not only was I not on there, neither was the goal. With no information as to where I was, I hurried out of the cave to witness what seemed like a whole new world.

With all the exotic plants and alien-looking wildlife, it seemed as if I was transported into an alternate world. As these thoughts came flooding in, the beautiful angel-like woman descended down from the bright blue sky. "It seems you are completely healed now, so it is time to show you the world you inherited."

"Wait, aren't you the girl from before who sav...DID YOU SAY THE WORLD I INHERITED?"

"Yes, the previous owner, your grandfather, left this for you when he died. The only condition was for you to be transported by Heaven's Lake. Once again, yes, I am the one who saved you from inevitably death and the spirit of the lake, Zinna."

The more this spirit explained, the more confused I got. Many questions seemed to form in an instant within my mind. "First, who really was my grandfather?"

As soon as I asked this the gentle face of the woman spirit started to twist in the other direction, forming a spiteful expression.

"He was a man who was worthy of praise, but also left behind only one thing to me, his loyal spirit, which was to never tell you anything of him."

This answer opened up an entirely new path of questions to be asked, but there was one in particular that was really huge for me. "Am I still able to go back to my world?"

"Yes, this is just a sub-space that is connected to yours through Heaven's Lake."

As this was answered to my hopes, I finally got a slight smile on my face. With my hope up, I had to ask, "Then can I go n...." As I started talking a very noticeable frown started to form on her seemingly perfect face.

"Yes, but if you do, I won't be able to awaken you power."

Right as she said this, the surprise and happiness came to my face. It seemed like she noticed this, because she started to walk away towards who knows what. " It seems like you made up your mind then."

For the rest of the walk, there was an absolute silence between us, until we reached the center point of the field. Instead of the tower that students entered after making it to the center, there was a massive, medieval palace covered in vines and moss. Once we made it to the castle, she turned around fluidly and stared at me with her hand pointing towards the tower.

"This is where we will awaken you power, and gain experience on how to use it"

With that said and out of the way, she turned back around, as if she were on a track, and walked toward a huge metal and wood door. As she stood in front of it, she looked up at the top and magic began to swell up in her palms. Once it reached the diameter of a human, the door began to absorb it. Once the entirety of the magic was gone, the doors began to slowly open.

As the doors were fully opened, a huge, but gorgeous courtyard was in display. Even through this jaw-dropping moment, the angel-like spirit didn't bat an eye. She continued walking up to the house through the courtyard. As she made it to the door, she stopped and said, "Once you can use that much power at will, you can go to and from your world and here."

At what seemed like a planned moment, she opened the doors to the house with one motion. What was inside seemed almost impossible. It had many technologies that were so far advanced, that they seemed alien to me. Even though the technology was so extremely advanced, the architecture was so fancy.

During my admiration for the building, Zinna kept walking up the spiral stair case towards a huge room. The metal door was magic infused, and had a magic sensor panel to lock and unlock the room. Zinna then placed her hand on the panel and said a chant, "Hama galla unlak." After the words were said, a bright blue light came from her right hand that was on the panel, and the door opened.

As the doors split apart, and slid into the walls, a massive, white room could be seen. The spirit, Zinna, waved her hand towards the room to invite me in. When I walked in I could see a device in the wall with a sign above it that said food, and a futon in the corner of the room.

"Here you will train for the next year, and once you are strong enough to leave on your own, you may go back to the other world. The only way to find your power is to look deep inside yourself."

After these words of wisdom, she left the doorway and once again placed her hand on the panel. As the doors began to close, she waved with her hand that wasn't on the panel, and made a beautiful smile. Just then the doors closed, and I was locked alone in this plain room.

'Zinna explained that this room was impenetrable to me, so I guess there isn't much point in trying to figure a way out.'

My main goal was to figure out what it means to look deep inside myself. The only thing I could think of was meditation, so I sat down and closed my eyes. Though, I've never been known to be a patient person, so immediately I got bored and wanted to do something. The first thought that came to my mind was that I wanted to play some video games.

Just then the room started to rumble, but I kept my eyes closed and a message appeared in front of my eye, like on a screen.

*Ra-Ting*

[Starting new game file, all old game file will be lost, is this ok. (Yes / No)]

The moment this appeared, I was shocked for sure, but my main feeling was that I could leave this pitiful life behind. With just this thought, I felt a surge of energy as if my life was restarting.

*Ra-Ting*

[Player has agreed to restart, do you agree to the terms and conditions, blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. (Yes / No)]

I didn't care to read it, so I unhesitatingly agreed and another message appeared in my retina.

*Ta-Ring*

[Player has agreed, he will now be granted the power known as -The Game-]
