37. Mercy of a Pushover

The group arrived at two mansions, one which was white and the other was more darkish gray.

"The white one is the 2nd division's base and the black one is the Tokyo Ravagers' base." A guard pointed out to Jin.

"Thanks, now get out of here!"

"Thank you!" The guards began to flee like rats.

Knock Knock!

Jin knocked on the door but nobody answered.

Knock Knock!

He knocked again but no one still answered.

"Pardon my intrusion." Jin helped himself and opened the stall doors and immediately, he was met by a flying dart that strikes to his eye.

"Isn't that too rude for you to greet a guest like that?" Jin said as he caught the dart with his index and pointy finger.

"Your trespassing this place and has hurt the guards." The man wearing in black robe spoke.

"Hurt them? I didn't even touch a single hair from the guards, I just asked them for directions to this place."

"That's the same. [Shadow Art: Shadow Shuriken]" The man in Black robe threw dozens of shurikens towards Jin that moved through the air like eels so their trajectory was unreadable but Jin had such high mana sensitivity that he could already tell where the shurikens would strike to so with his lightning speed, he grabbed the every Shuriken and crumbled them into shards.

"..!" The man's eyes opened wide as he blend into the shadows and at that moment, hundreds of people burst through the doors to confront Jin.

"A 3rd division freshman dares to wreak havoc in our base?"

"Have you lost your mind kid?"

"You walked to your death!"

"Even if you get out of that door, all of the Tokyo Ravagers' gangs are outside."

Every member of the 2nd division was present and looked like they were ready for war. Each member was on the level of a B-rank and some members exude the power of an A-rank. Jin scanned outside and saw that most of the Tokyo Ravagers' member was of A-rank and with a sharp precision of his scan, he could see three other people behind the door inside the mansion.

'It must be Kaze and their leaders from that door.'

"Look, I'm not here to fight you guys but I'm here to negotiate with your bosses. If you let me talk to them, no harm will come your way." Jin spoke with ease.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA" They began to laugh at Jin and found his words absurd.

"Your nothing more but a B-ranker and I dare, you that can't even handle two of our men and you dare talk to our boss?"

"Don't worry, I'll handle him." A man walked forward and began to comb his shiny long hair as he raised his blade to Jin. He had snake-like eyes and grinned with his white teeth and began to show off his stature as if he was trying to make an impression on everyone in the room.

"I'll be your opponent, I'm Jeremy Lancaster, an A-rank Hunter, and a Flamboyant Knight! Ingrain those words in your head before we start as those will be the last words you'll remember-" Before Jeremy could finish his words, Jin jolted in front of him and pierced his eyes with his two fingers causing Jeremy to scream in agony.

"Aaarrrgh!! My eyes!"

Jeremy had become blind as his eye sockets had left only holes in it and Jin in an instant push him to the ground and snapped both his arms causing him to scream in pain.

"Aaaaaaarrrrgh!"

"I don't like your eyes," Jin said in a cold tone as he broke his two legs with his bare hands. He continued to scream and having enough with the screaming, the doors in the mansion opened wide revealing two huge men disgruntled by the loud sound.

"You still haven't dealt with that brat!?" Cole said in anger and when they saw Jin stepping on Jeremy who was on the ground moaning in pain had his bald forehead bulge in rage.

"You dare hurt Jeremy!" Cole called out loud and activated [Chief's Anger] which buffed everyone's status that increased their attack and speed by 10% and Jin was affected by a debuff.

Ting~

[YOU HAVEN'T BEEN WEAKENED!]

"See, I just want to negotiate with you guys but you wanted to fight-"

"Attack!" Cole carried out the order and immediately, every member rushed to Jin with their weapons. They activated their skills to increase their power more and those in the rear, cast their spells. They didn't choose to use wide-area attacks as they were wary of the damage they may deal with the inside of the mansion so they purposely went for a target locking attack.

Bombardments of attacks went towards Jin and seeing that things weren't going as planned, Jin activated [STEEL STRING: 2ND FORM] were thick strings almost comparable to a rope flowing out from his fingertips. The strings moved super fast that the strings bound most members before they could even react. Some we're able to escape the binding by a breadth of a hair and these guys were expert speedsters.

"What is this? Why can't I move?"

"Argh! I can't move my body!"

Everyone tried to escape the binding but they couldn't even lift a finger. Those that had escaped tried to cut the strings with their weapons but it only left Sparks and nothing more.

"What did you do?" Jason asked with a flustered expression.

"I bound them, they are not able to move to matter what they do and even if you try to cut with your most powerful attack, you'd only end up hurting your ally and the string will still be fine," Jin said.

"You bastard!" Cole jumped towards Jin as he summoned a huge ax to attack Jin.

"Cole wait!" Jason wanted to stop Cole but Cole had already lifted his ax.

"[Iron Roar]!" The giant ax burned with a violent aura ready to lop Jin in half yet after it could pierce him, Jin grabbed the ax with his hand and disintegrated the aura around it into nothing, with a bit of his strength, a ripple of cracks appeared around the ax and a bit more strength could pulverize it.

"You really won't listen? Here." Jin flick the ax in his hand and held him between his abdomen and torso.

Rip!

"Graaaaaaahh!" Cole screamed in pain as Jin ripped him in half and dropped him to the ground. Blood, gut, and gore spread on the ground, and tears flooded his face realizing the graveness of the situation. The members who had been bound had their eyes widened in shock and those who had escaped wanted to attempt and attack but fear began to envelop their minds as they saw the leader they had looked up to ripped off in half with ease.

He had been dismembered in half but he was still alive, with so much lost blood and organs, he would die in any second now. Jason was also tearing up seeing his brother in a dying state but he couldn't carelessly run wild as he was afraid that what happened to his brother might also happen to him.

"Tell me now, do you want to listen to my offer, or do you wish for this man to die?" Jin asked as he squatted down on Cole with absolute dominance.

"Yes, I'll listen so please save him!" Jason was crying and wanted nothing more but to save Cole whom he had treated as a younger brother and hearing his words of mercy, he didn't have any choice but to abide.

"Good." Jin smiled and pulled out a potion in his spatial inventory and threw it to Jason. Jason caught the potion and a window panel popped up in his view.

GRADE: S

Effects: Heals 10000 points of health]

"..!" Jason's eyes widened in shock. The description was brief but he could tell that this potion could save his brother's life. There was no accurate description that wrote it could heal a dismembered body but just the points of health were enough to tell its healing powers.

"Let him drink that," Jin said to Jason and Jason quickly nodded and went to Cole's side. He brought out his other half and stuck the two and then let him drink the potion. Cole was becoming pale and each second could mean fatal. Jason tried to let Cole drink the potion but Cole wasn't able to drink it and have no other choice, poured the contents of the potion in his mouth and transferred it to Cole's via mouth-to-mouth procedure.

"Ew, disgusting." The sight of two grown men kissing was truly a sight to behold. Jin couldn't help but want to laugh in disgust but he held the laughter inside and just giggled. But those who were watching which was every member of each group felt like they just wanted to puke and cringe in the sight. At this moment, they will remember this until the day they die.

Jason was in no time to be ashamed and as soon as he transferred the contents of the potion into Cole's mouth, the two formerly dismembered half began to stick together and slowly heal Cole. His organs and wounds began to fix themselves up and the soon-to-be-dead Cole had become livelier and healthier.

His eyes were now filled with life and the realization of Jason affectionately kissing him made him jump up to the ground and push him away.

"Puaaah! You kissed me, you deranged bastard!" Cole screamed at him in disgust as he tried forcing himself to puke and seeing that Cole was alive, Jason cried and hugged him tightly.

"Brother your alive! Your alive!" He was crying like a little girl and Cole wanted to flee from his grip but couldn't.

"Ahem!"

"Oh!" Jason immediately let go of his hand and knelt in front of in. Cole also knelt in front of Jin as realizing that they had been confronting such a powerful man, it was only natural fr them to plead for mercy.

"We apologize for our rash behavior, we'll not bother the 3rd division again and punish Kaze accordingly." Both said in unison.

"It's okay, it's okay." Although Jin enjoyed teaching people a lesson, unless he was in a bad mood, he treated people as to how they treated him.

'These guys are incomparable to those hunters who had tortured me. That warning should be enough for them to listen to my words.'

"I'm here to negotiate with you." Jin sat on the ground and faced the other two.

"Will do anything you say just please spare us." Jason wanted to plead more but Jin stopped him to do so.

"I still don't know a lot about out this university but I know the fact that the relationship between 3rd and 2nd division I'd quite sour. Can I ask why is that?" Jin asked. Immediately, Cole straightened his stature and explained to Jin.

"We were never rivals in the first place. The only reason why we continue to fight was what our previous seniors told us. The former seniors in each division would always fight for resources and land that it became repetitive fighting between the divisions. It had become a tradition that if ever one gets resources, the other one would steal it and one day, the 3rd division had enough and ambushed the leader of the 2nd division which in result killed one founding member of the 2nd division. This started the first Royal Division Battle where if the bets of the bloody fight are resources from the other division. A lot of students had died at that time and it only stopped after the principal involved himself in the fight where as of now, killing has become banned and the Royal Division Battle can only occur once every year from each division."

"So the only way to stop is if one apologizes right and calls for a truce?" Jin said.

"I hope it was that easy, and knowing the fact that we have stolen too much from them, apologizing might be far from working it out," Cole responded.

"So you just need to give the resources right?"

"That would be an option but it's the first semester, we have used up all of our resources last year and now we're trying to get some more by going in hunting grounds. We'll give all our profit to your division as a means for an apology if that is what you want." Cole said in a sincere tone.

"Nah it's okay." Although these guys were bad people, they were not Jin's range to call bad people, he felt pity that he had to force them to work for someone else's benefit, he'd appreciate it more if he did it himself since it was the growing trait of being a pushover that Jin had become fond of.

"Can I ask what's these resources about?"

"We get financial, weapons, structure and human resources are resources. From each start, a division is given 100 gold which they use to buy all necessities in this school. The university does not give any freebie to students no matter how rich they may be outside of the school to teach them how to survive. We earn money from hunting monsters and selling their cores and carcasses. We also try to buy any vacant dungeon portals since those are the ones to earn a lot of resources like Mana crystals but the 1st division always gets their hands on it first, that's why we focus more on buying vacant lands if unless a portal spawns in the land that we own we have full ownership of the portal."

"Ah...so you need Mana crystals right?" Jin said.

"Yes, those can sell quite a lot."

"Now it's settled. What I want is a peaceful life in the university and if it means I'll be spending some sum, I'll do it." Jin opened his inventory and pulled out a pouch.

"What this?...!" Cole and Jason looked at what was inside the bag and were surprised to find Mana crystals and monster cores.

"Those are small A-rank Mana crystals and A-rank monster cores, use them to buy resources you need to pay for the 3rd division, if there is some left, share it with them," Jin said.

"But, why are you doing this? With your power, you could destroy us all and be done with it. We even evoke you first but why are you helping us?" Cole was confused and thought there might be something deeper to what Jin was doing, he knows well that everything comes with a price.

"Just as I said. I want a peaceful life in the university, if I chose violence and killed all of you, it would only result in more problems. I've been fighting and running all my life and I want some breather."

"So you want us to make your life comfortable?"

"Yes, is it too much to ask?"

"No, in fact, we can do it for you now. But can you let go of our subordinates?" Cole asked kindly.

"Oh yeah." Jin removed the bindings on the students and they were immediately able to move again but many of them had broken bones and some even had internal bleeding and seeing their state, Jin felt bad and threw a splash potion in the air rained on everyone.

Everyone was immediately healed from their injuries including Jeremy who had fainted had returned normally.

"To be able to use such high-grade potions with ease, what family did you come from?" Jason asked.

"A normal family." Jin smiled and went to the door of the mansion. Jin was spending high-grade potions in his accord and felt happy using it since his inventory had been filled to brim that he couldn't place any items, and using them had not been a waste since he still had countless stocks inside.

As Jin was about to leave, he stopped at the door and gazed at Cole and Jason which caused everyone to flinch from fear.

"Can I get a promissory note that everything has been settled and also, besides the 3rd division which you'll become partners, don't tell anyone what has happened here? I don't want any commotion to happen. If I learn that this news will spread in the school, you know what happens right?

Gulp! Everyone swallowed their nervous saliva after hearing Jin's words.

"We promise not to tell anyone are we clear?"

"Yes!"

A woman then arrived in front of Jin and gave him a scroll that had been knotted with a ribbon.

"This is the promissory note you've asked." The woman said as she departed.

"That was quick. Okay then, I'll be waiting for the good news!" Jin disappeared in an instant.

"Sigh, that was one frightening experience. If you people see him, make sure to greet him kindly as he will be our new leader. You already saw what he can do. He made us all helpless with his powers, heal us with expensive potions as if he was just throwing water, and gave us high-quality cores and crystals for free like he's just throwing useless rocks. From now on, he's our benefactor and anything he says must be prioritized, if you see other students try to disturb his peace, make sure to stop it." Cole began ordering his subordinates and everyone agreed with what he said. Jason also did the same thing to his subordinates and Kaze who was hiding the whole time was tortured personally by Cole and Jason.
