38. Things that Need to be Settled

At the 3rd division base, four eyes, real name: Jae Dong-Soo held a meeting with the core members after Jin went to get the promissory note from the 2nd division.

"We're already at our lowest, many of our members are now quitting and moving to other divisions, our funds are going dry, we rarely get a reserved spot for hunting grounds and now a problematic freshman just arrived and cause more problems for us. If we don't do anything, we don't have a choice but to sell parts of our land if we want to survive." Jae Dong Soo said with a grim face.

The Hunter's University was not a school for young hunters to enjoy but a place to survive. It was impossible to get resources from external sources since it was a written rule that if a hunter was found using funds outside of the school perimeter, they would be expelled. The only way to get external resources was before official enrollment since after enrolling, leaving the school premises is not allowed, not until graduation. By bringing as many funds that one hunter could bring in his spatial inventory, the hunter would be able to enter the royal academy that's why the majority of the rich students are in the royal academy and even the most talented individuals if they don't have enough resources to bring, they'd always be left in the normal academy.

Despite calling itself "The Most Prestigious Hunter's Academy", it was nothing more but a corrupt money-grubbing place. Where the rich is the most powerful while the poor are left to fight for the scraps.

"How about the other two recruits? They all hailed from rich families don't they?" The one who asked was the broad man, real name: Arnold Flusser.

"They said they'll be leaving the division tomorrow since they didn't like the low maintenance." The royal woman replied real name: Evangeline Hopes.

"Ungrateful brats." Arnold gritted his teeth.

"If that kid does get the promissory note, just IF, his resources might be of a help for us." The petite blonde girl, real name: Anne Richards said.

"That's quite a low possibility, if he did though, he'd probably be robbed from his resources and look, it's already 15 minutes, it's already half the time he said, if he doesn't arrive here, we'll have no choice but to kick him out." Jae Dong Soo said.

"He's back." The little girl said, real name: Antoinette Polinar.

"Who?" Everyone asked in unison.

"The freshman, and it looks like he's fine," Antoinette replied.

"What? No way!" Arnold exclaimed.

"Pah, he probably didn't even go in the 2nd division. You do know that going there by foot would take you an hour and even if he did get a ride, it would take 30 minutes. How can he arrive already?" The black man replied real name: Leroy Sanchez.

"Let me check him myself." Jae Dong-Soo stood up and walk out to the main door. He then saw Jin who was standing outside as he looked at him with a huge grin on his face.

"What are you smiling at, did you get lost? I already sent you the coordinates, why are you so early?" Jae Dong Soo said with an annoyed look on his face.

"Here's the promissory note you asked." Jin tossed the scroll to Jae Dong-Soo which he caught.

"You already blew your shot so leave!" Jae Dong-Soo exclaimed as he crumpled the paper.

"What do you mean? You said I'd ask for the promissory note and I brought it? Why did you crumple it?" Jin asked in confusion.

"Do you think I'm stupid? You just forged a fake document so you can avoid getting beat up! If you don't leave right now, I'll beat you up myself and bring you to the 2nd division personally!" Jae Dong-Soo threw the paper in the ground and jumped in the air as he threw a punch towards Jin.

Puuuv!

His punch caused a huge collision in the wind that formed a huge crater in the ground as dust covered the area.

"That kid is dead," Arnold said with a sigh.

"Yep..." Anne replied. Everyone hurriedly went outside after the loud explosion occurred. Those who went back to their rooms watched at their windows and those in the meeting went outside.

"Let's have a bet. How many bones do you think broke from that freshman's body?" Leroy asked?

"Probably, 50, maybe a 100," Arnold replied.

Everyone watched the scene unfold in their eyes and as the dust cleared their vision, they were surprised by what they saw.

"What the hell are you doing?" Jin asked calmly. He grabbed the fist with his bare hand and looked completely fine.

"To think you can catch my fist with your bare hands. I'm impressed. Then let's see if you catch this too. [Array of Blast]!"

Jae Dong-Soo dashed a few steps backward and a wind turbine appeared in his back. The turbine began to spin continuously and Jae Dong-Soo started throwing dozens of punches in the air. These punches then made a stop forming fist prints in the air, the fist prints continue to appear in front of Jae Dong-Soo until the wind turbine stopped and disappear in his back leaving the marking of fists.

"Release."

BOOM!

The fist prints blast as they rapidly flew in unison towards Jin's direction. Each fist was twice as powerful as the ones Jae Dong-Soo threw and Jin would have no hope of evading the attack since the wind of the fist moved faster than sound.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

One by one, the fist went straight to Jin's body and air and dust began to explode around him.

"Do you think he can survive that attack?" Arnold asked.

"That attack was supposed to be performed with a sword so using a fist will deteriorate its full power. I was surprised he caught his fist and did not suffer any injury but this skill makes each of his fists twice as powerful as the previous one he threw so there's a low chance of himself surviving that attack." Evangeline explained and they continued to watch.

"He fucked up this time."

"That kid messed up big time."

The spectators sige in regret and pity but their sympathy didn't last long. The sullen looks on their face instantly changed to shock and disbelief.

As they watch with their own two eyes the fist-shaped wind crash through Jin's body. Each fist caused a huge ripple upon the impact that tore the uniform he wore but yet, Jin remain standing. The punches continue to rip through his clothes but none seem to permeate to his skin.

No markings of a fist, no wounds, no scratches, he didn't even move an inch as he is barraged by countless fists. The only thing left was his supposed to be torso turned into a ripped short and the uniform completely ragged revealing a chiseled body that shined like a marble.

As they looked at his body, they couldn't help but be in awe that even muscle heads like Arnold would feel inferior in the face of such body. It was truly a sight to be held that females of all types blushed in the eye candy and even some males had red faces.

"So beautiful..." Evangeline silently muttered to herself not realizing that her face had turned red.

"It's so perfect," Anne said as she gleamed in astonishment.

Adding with the display of defense, the spectators especially the core members couldn't help but look at Jin in a different light, not as a problematic freshman but a beautiful hunter.

"How are you still fine?" Jae Dong-Soo asked with a baffled look on his face.

"It's because he's wickedly strong." A deep voice replied. Listening to the foreign voice, the core members instantly woke up from their daydreams and summoned their battle gear and weapons.

A silhouette of a huge man from afar instantly caught their sight. They gritted their teeth as they already know who's silhouette this was and they were ready to pounce like hungry lions.

Chills suddenly shivered in their spine as another similar silhouette appear in their view and more others surround it.

"Why? What did you do!?" Jae Dong-Soo exclaimed at Kal as he summoned his armor and long sword.

"I did what was supposed to be done," Jin replied bluntly as he watched the incoming battalion of hunters.

"Supposed to be done? You brought an entire division into the base! Is this your way of quenching your anger to us because we didn't let you eat and punished you!?" Jae Dong-Soo angrily spoke.

"What the hell are you talking about?" Jin said in confusion.

"You fucker! I'm gonna deal with you first!" Jae Dong-Soo furiously dashed with his long sword held high as it began to emanate with wind and formed a tornado.

Swing!

He weaved the long sword and sliced all the air around it and was ready to cut through Jin. His muscles bulged and his face was full of rage.

"[Sonic Slash]!"

WAAAAANNG!!!

The sword echoed a bright light and collided. A huge explosion echoed the area and dust fogged the surroundings.

As soon as the dust dissipate, the ones who watched from the mansion had their jaws fall on the ground as they couldn't believe in their eyes what they saw.

Jin was completely fine and remained standing as he was before.

In front of him were two Giants, one wielded his battle-ax a, and the other had a shield the same size as he was.

"What do you think you're doing to our leader?" Jason asked with an infuriated face.

"You don't listen huh?" Cole responded as he revealed a cold look into Jae's eyes.

Jae Dong Soo was flabbergasted at what was happening. The fact that Jin, who had offended the 2nd division and Tokyo Ravagers had both the bosses stand up to defend him and heard them mention the term "Leader" to Jin.

His mind was blank. The rage in his eyes soon turned into confusion and hopelessness.

In a brief standstill, he finally had his mind stable from the situation and lowered his sword. So did the two giants who retrieve their weapons in their inventory and replace it with their staff.

"What's happening right now? I don't understand? Are you guys here to take revenge? Do you want to destroy us?"

Jae Dong-Soo had those things in mind that he quickly put on to words as he still was blacked out to the current situation.

"We're not here to take any revenge as we are already past that. We are here to call for a stop in our long rivalry since we've realized everything we had been doing is dumb. We're just longing for the grudge of our former seniors who are already graduated. And as an apology, we've brought supplies and manpower, we also here give you the financial resources that you deserved. After everything we've done, we hope you could accept our apology."

Cole bowed down at a 90° angle including Jason. Jae Dong Soo was quickly overwhelmed by the sudden twist of events. Soon the core member followed up to him with their weapons pointed at Cole and Jason.

"Jae, what's happening? Why are they suddenly bowing?" Anne asked confusingly.

"They said they're here to apologize and wants a stop to the rivalry. Those loaded trucks over there and hunters, they're resources and manpower to give to us and also, him." Jae Dong-Soo pointed at Jin.

"The problematic freshman?" Arnold replied.

"They said he is their leader."

Jae responded. They quickly drew their swords at Jin and detected him as an enemy.

"What do you mean? Was he spying on us all along?"

"No wonder you were so strong, you're the leader of this notorious gang!"

Everyone held their weapons up high and seeing the misunderstanding, Cole was quick to explain.

"Don't misunderstand, Mr. Jin here gave us the biggest mercy of all and even helped us settle this problem of ours. He is the reason why were here in the first place, if not for him, we'd still be fighting that's why he is now our leader." Cole explained. Jason nodded in agreement but Jin refuted what Cole had said.

"What? I never said anything about being a leader. I said I want a peaceful life in the university and being a leader of a huge group would just add to more hassles. I've been grinding my ass off for years and had little to no time to rest and now that I do get one, I want to spend it in luxury. So don't make your leader."

Jin grunted in disagreement.

"I apologize if that's what you feel being a leader, we want you to have peaceful years in school so if you don't want to, we'll not force you to do so, but if a problem arises and we'd need your help, we hope for you to be there," Cole said as he bowed to Jin.

"Okay, I'll do that. But for now, I know things are still bitter between the leaders so I want you guys to have a partnership and treat each other like brothers and sisters. If that's hard, I'll give you time to cope up and slowly make a relationship. If that's still too harsh, think of your partnership as nothing more but business. What I want is no violence between the two divisions, help each other if needed and if you guys need something, just ask me for it, I'll do what I can to help you." Jin explained.

'You're already acting as a leader yet you don't want to be one?" Jae Dong Soo said.

"Watch your mouth." Cole pointed his staff at Jae's mouth with the intent of murder.

"Hey! I just said no fighting!" Jin exclaimed.

"Sorry." Cole immediately lowered his staff and cooled his temperament as he recalled the moment he was ripped in half.

"Anyways, you guys settle your stuff or whatever it is, I'm gonna go back to my room to change since I'm currently half-naked." Jin leisurely walked to the mansion leaving the guys outside.

"Can I ask you? What happened?" Jae Dong-Soo asked.

"I'd rather not talk about it."

"Gulped!"
