I MISS YOU II

Kaye had been checking her phone to see if there's any message or missed calls from Ivan, but sad to say there was none.

She stopped cooking the food he likes to eat as well to avoid remembering him, but it was to no avail.

"Pretty Kaye, who are you waiting to call? You've been checking your phone almost every second." Jestoni teased her making her blush.

"It's nothing." she waved her hand dismissing the topic before going back to her work. "This idiot didn't even return any of my calls? Fine! I'll forget you exist." she murmured to herself while signing some documents to hand in later in the morning.

Ivan was still wide awake at three in the morning. He had been deliberating to call her back or not. Part of her wanted to but another part doesn't want to let his hope soar high in the sky. "I miss you Kaye." Ivan murmured in the quietness of his room.

Alex had scheduled everything already and he needed to leave the country to have things succeed as he planned. "In three days, I have to leave. Will you wait for me?" But he knows she didn't really care. Ivan sighed before closing his eyes to sleep.

Kaye didn't get any text or calls on that day as well, making her mood swing from side to side of both frustration and happiness. "Don't you dare call me again! I will never ever see you! You moronic monkey of Amazon!" she yelled on the picture, the only picture of Ivan she was able to steal.

"If you really miss him, call him!" Jestoni urged her who was drinking his coffee in front of her.

"I tried. I called him multiple times yesterday, last night, today whatever! I didn't hear back from him! He didn't even ask if I'm doing fine!" she didn't hold back in bursting out her grievances. She really felt upset. Upset of herself for falling so hard to a man who couldn't love her back.

"I'm really sorry to hear that pretty Kaye." Jestoni gave her a gentle pat on her shoulder before taking a sip of his coffee. "How about you stop calling him? Let him miss you as well."

"As if he'd actually miss someone like me!" she grumbled while turning off her computer, stopping her work since she couldn't really focus. "Sometimes, I wish I don't have a heart. I really hate this kind of feelings. I should've known better. I'm always the person who's left behind by everyone." she sighed to herself before taking her phone and wallet, then left the room to buy an ice cream.

When Kaye got home after her work, her apartment was still empty, no signs of life. Ivan wasn't back until now. "He must've reconciled with his childhood crush." she whispered before pouring herself a glass of water. She sat down looking around the apartment. "So lonely."

She remembered the first time Ivan tried cooking and she couldn't help but laugh at the mishap he was in. The egg shells were all over him and the kitchenwares were messy. Kaye giggled with the thought. However, she realized the person wasn't around anymore. She sighed in sadness before getting inside her room.

It was not an easy feat either. In her room, she would never forget the time she found him sleeping in her couch. It was when she had a nightmare. He said he was sleep walking. And she believed him.

"Ahhh! You're driving me crazy!" she yelled before she plopped on her bed, lying on her stomach, feeling the various emotions she couldn't handle. "Why did I even fall in love?" she whispered, her tears falling down one after another. "I hate you Ivan! I hate you so much!" she punched her bed with all her might even though it was futile.

Ivan called one of his trusted subordinates in the company to get his belongings. He can't let anyone from the mansion know what he was doing. He needed to go overseas so he can process everything before it's too late. This was the only chance he got to make things right.

In the afternoon, Kaye woke up from the sound of her doorbell ringing. She walked barefooted while rubbing her eyes to wake up herself completely.

"What is it?" she greeted the man who was standing in front of her room, looking scholarly while holding a basket of fruits.

"I'm here in behalf of sir Ivan." he handed her the fruits but Kaye didn't take it. Her brain was still processing his words about Ivan.

"Ivan? Where is he?" she asked him with eagerness. Her eyes were full of excitement and happiness with the thought of seeing him again.

"Aheem..Hmm." the man coughed to get her attention. "I'm here in behalf of him to get his belongings."
