MISSING KAYE

Chadwick came inside bringing with him the things that Kaye bought. Upon seeing him with so many things, Yvonne frowned.

"I didn't hear you leave. Someone came to visit?" She asked him while eyeing the bags on his hands.

"These...uhh...Kaye brought these." He answered her honestly. Ivan stood up after hearing his words.

"Where is she?" He asked while grabbing the keys of his own car.

"She left. She said that she was going to surprise your mom but she left in a hurry." Chadwick told him before going to the kitchen and placed the groceries.

"She's not thinking what I'm thinking, right?" Kathleen asked with an awkward smile once again.

Ivan couldn't help but slapped his forehead for being stupid. Yvonne face-palmed as well. She knew exactly what's going on with Kaye's head.

"I don't know what to do now." Ivan mumbled helplessly.

"I'll talk to her. I just hope she would still talk to me. She must be thinking I betrayed her." Yvonne said not knowing what to say as well. It was really a mess.

She tried calling Kaye but she didn't pick up her phone. She tried reaching out to her until late in the evening but there was no answer. She decided to try her luck the next day.

Kaye was driving around aimlessly until she reached a suburb where she can see the city lights from the mountain top. It was a scenic view and there were many people who sat on top of their car inhaling the fresh air.

She sat inside her car while watching the lights glowing amidst the darkness of the night.

"I want to stop breathing. I just want to stop the night and hope morning won't ever come. How come I lost so much in this life? Don't I deserve to be happy at all?" Kaye was mumbling to herself. Her tears kept dropping, blurring her vision. She had turned her phone off, knowing that Miss Maine would call her.

"Did she betray me? Did Ivan knew that I was the little girl? Did he realize that he was the person I like? This is horrible. I don't want to live anymore." Kaye was sobbing all alone in her empty world. Her heart was failing her. She was having a hard time breathing. She got off the car and gasped for air to breath. After calming herself, she went back inside her car and locked it.

Kaye woke up when the sun was up high and was blinding her. She blinked her eyes a couple of times to focus on her surroundings. 'Still in the mountain top.' Kaye thought before she stretched her legs and decided to drive back home.

In the villa, Yvonne was feeling guilty while she tried calling Kaye again and again. She had called her parents and found out that Kaye didn't come home last night.

Ivan was also pacing back 'n forth while waiting for Alex to send the result of his investigation. He called his auntie Lousie already but she told him that Kaye didn't come or contact her.

Lexi was also in panic while Gabbi tried calming her. "She would be fine. Let's trust in her. She must be needing some time or space. Calm down Lex." Gabbi comforted his fiancee.

"No Gab. You don't understand. The last time she ran away, she almost died. She had suffered so much Gab. I don't want her to be in danger." Lexi argued due to so much anxiety from worrying about her friend.

In the Jimenez's mansion, Kaye's parents haven't had a wink of sleep. They've been waiting for Kaye to come home. The last time Kaye ran away from home, she almost died. It was a traumatic experience for the both of them and they never wanted that to happen. That is another reason why don't set high expectations to Kaye. They don't want her to be under pressure.

"Honey, I don't know what to do if she something happens to her. You know our daughter won't just go somewhere without letting us know." Margaret complained to her husband.

"Let's just pray for her safety. She must have a reason why she didn't contact us. Let's just hope that she'll be home soon." responded Robert to his wife.

Kaye was driving silently without much care in the world not knowing that in some places, it was a mess from her sudden disappearance.

It was almost 2 o'clock in the afternoon when she reached home. She stretched her body after getting off the car.

"Young miss, you're home!" A maid suddenly exclaimed upon seeing her.

"Yeah. I'm home." Kaye smiled before bending to get her stuff inside the car. She didn't bother turning on her phone since she's already home. "I saw a police car outside, did something happened?" Kaye asked one of the maid who was watering the plants.

"You'll know soon if you get inside Miss Kaye." the maid said with a meaningful smile. 'It was rather awkward telling the young miss that it was because of her that there were policemen inside' thought the maid.

Kaye walked towards the main entrance of the house with her bag swinging on her hands. When she opened the door, she was shocked to see a lot of people in their living room including the four police officers.

Kaye turned red when all eyes looked at her direction. "Uhh. If you guys are discussing something, you can continue. I'll head upstairs." Kaye said awkwardly before running towards her room.

She was about to take a step on the stairs when her eyes caught someone. "Why are you here?" Kaye asked Ivan who was sitting in the corner not far from the other guests. Her face didn't show any hint of emotions making it difficult to decipher how she feels seeing him again.

"Aren't you asking the wrong person?" Lexi joked at her. "Why don't you asked the police officers why they're here?" Lexi said while laughing.

"Is that something I should know?" Kaye frowned at her best friend.

"Yes my dear because we just reported you as missing." Lexi answered mischievously.

"You must be kidding me. How can I be missing?" Kaye was stupefied with the news, but when realization hit her, she was so embarrassed. She turned to the police officers and apologized. "I'm sorry for causing you trouble."

"It's fine. It's good to know that you're back. If there's nothing else, we'll go ahead so you guys can talk." With that, the police officers left one by one.

Kaye stood in the middle of the crowd awkwardly. She didn't know what to say or where to start. She didn't even know she was reported as missing.

"Do you have anything to say?" It was her mother who asked her softly without any accusations.

"Mom, I'm very hungry." Kaye said with a helpless smile. "Sorry for making you worry. I...I just went out. I'm sorry everyone." Kaye apologized to everyone but she didn't look directly to Yvonne and to Ivan.
