10 What Is Love?

After she left the training grounds, she snapped herself back to the library and decided it was time to pack up her stuff and leave. She had already wasted much time and she couldn't delay it any longer.

She needed to hurry back for the council and the trip there wasn't easy. It might take about 2 weeks if she estimated correctly, it could be even longer as she held some doubts about it, plus it's been 8 years that she's been away, there's bound to be some changes in the council and the world around her.

She felt a massive headache from when she thought about it. Another big problems would be her Queen still waiting there to give her a punishment for running away. She could already feel the dread from it.

Since she already met with Aurelian before, she would just look for Valeria and give her gifts and leave with her two wolves. So she made her way out of the library and headed for the prince's palace.

And it was just as if the day was going her way as she notice that both Valeria and her son Keiran were both there. Also the little baby Demi was here as well! What a lovely surprise! There was also a train of servants behind them.

Keiran had also noticed her and his face lit up as he called out to her, "God-Mother!" He had already reached her side and she gladly picked him up into her arms.

Keiran blushed and hid his face in her neck. Valeria looked at the scene hopelessly, she knew Angelica was leaving today and she had a feeling that she came here to meet her.

"It seems your here to say goodbye right?" Valeria asked her and saw the small smile Angelica gave her. She had hand her baby to the wet nurse beside them.

Keiran heard this and instantly tightened his hold on Angelica's neck. He knew she wouldn't stay here long but for some reason he didn't want her to go. Thinking like this made him sad and he pitifully gave his mother a look.

Angelica who had been quiet this whole time gently place Keiran down and stared at Valeria, "Ah! For real nothing gets past you! I even wonder why you chose to marry Aurelian when your this smart and had many waiting for you to be there bride!"

She threw another arrow at Aurelian and the man they were talking about sneezed in his study room.

"I agree with that as well, but what can I say. Love isn't something you can control and for a fact I do love him." Valeria had a small blush.

Angelica smiled, "Love? What I strange word. I have live for this long yet I can't understand this one word. Say, what is love exactly?" her eyes dimmed.

"Love can be anything. Just like the magic tools you creat. Don't you love them?" Valeria asked back.

"Mn, I do like the thing I create!" She nodded like a proud kid.

"Then what about us? Don't you think we have love in our bond?" Smiling as she questioned, but there was a little faint pity she felt for her.

Valeria reminisced back when the time she first heard Angelica's story.

Though she vaguely explained it to her. Angelica looked uncomfortable and when she spoke of her past and family she would fall into a daze. She had walked her what it was like having a mother and father. But the loneliness could be seen in her eyes.

It was said that her mother escaped, pregnant from another kingdom and gave birth to her.

Thea Silver, Angelica mother's name. It was said that due to her magic and beauty she was well known. Especially for the fact that she was royalty by blood.

But after giving birth to Angelica, her magical power decreased and most of it was absorbed by the fetus in her. But sadly she was caught and eventually died from the witch hunt.

After that the current witch Queen, Odette Silver and Angelica's grandmother felt furious and destroy the whole area of where Thea died.

In return the whole place was fill with Wisteria trees, symbolizing her place of rest.

After that Angelica was taken to the Witch Forest, also known as Edelweiss Forest. She grew up their and was raised under the care of Odette. But there was one thing that she couldn't change in Angelica and that was love.

The love she was missing and trying to understand...

She may smile and joke around, but deep down she wants someone to understand her and tell her what love is, since she missed it for such a long time.

Feeling a bit sad she stares at Angelica with complicated eyes. Love was indeed a complicated terms for Angelica.

Angelica took out some things from her pouch, it was a earth crystal and two purple gem pendants. She also took out another box and handed it to Valeria, "These are my gifts! I might not be able to come back here so soon but I made these for you and your kids. I had given Aurelian gift to Captain Del, he'll give it to him later. It's thanks for keeping me in the library for a long time!"

Valeria looked at the stuff with a small smile and passed it to the servant beside her, while she looked closely at the two pendants. "If I'm not wrong then these must be barrier runes, right?"

Angelica only smile. "Seriously your appraisal skills have gone up again! But your right these are for your little ones until they get old enough to defend themselves." And graciously explained.

Angelica snapped her fingers once again and both Harry and Helix appeared before them. Both wolves were carrying pouches.

She walked up to Helix and gently patted his head, she took the pouches from him and placed it in her pouch and it disappeared into the small pouch.

Keiran looked at the pouch with interest, "God-Mother, what exactly is that thing?" And pointed to the pouch by her hips.

"This thing was a gift from my grandmother, it's called Stellar Pouch, and it can carry anything in it expect for living things. Quite handy right?" She explained with a smile.

"It's cool!" Keiran said as he study the white pouch.

"Right!" She agreed before looking at Helix and soon the normal sized wolf grew big enough to fit at least four people.
