Meeting The Ruler

Both parties were not looking at each other and it was eerily silent. KJ was the first one to make a move to break the silence.

KJ spoke in the same tone he would always use, if someone is below or above him none of it mattered, they were all the same in his eyes. Also, in his past life, he had indeed clashed against these two guardians before, leaving Sindra injured in the process and Ayla fleeing.

However, this time it was much different. Even though he had surpassed these guardians in his past life that didn't mean that their power was minuscule. In this life, he would try to bring their powers under him.

KJ looked at them directly, not backing down or shying away from the confrontation. "The great Poseidon's Guardians, it's great that you found us. We were taken away from the clan from a young age and tortured, mutilated and tested extensively. Due to this, our appearances have obviously diverted from the clans. The only way I could prove my bloodline was from the Sea Dwellers' mandatory greeting to the Palace inhabitants.

KJ looked very sincere and he didn't seem to have any deception in his clear wolf-like eyes.

Sindra had a very hoarse voice, similar to a long-time smoker, "You can only be one of us by the way you greeted us. Only those in The Endless Abyss are aware of that greeting and those who are aware are never enemies."

Ayla had a lighter more gentle and eloquent voice, "Sindra don't forget, they were abducted by others we don't know what happened or what they've been through." He spoke confidently with his hands behind his back.

Sindra turned his body away from them and started moving away slowly, "follow us, we will take you to the ruler of The Endless Abyss, he will determine your final outcome."

Once they both turned and moved a decent distance away, KJ turned to Kabal and gave him a slight smirk.

It's going all according to plan. The Golden Dragon should be under the Palace itself, hidden from even the Guardians. In my past life, the ruler of The Endless Abyss was powerful however he only had 1000 years to live. He was obsessed with finding someone who could connect to the Ancestral Golden Dragon.

He was obsessed with finding someone because out of the entire Abyss, only he could command lightning. Lightning was his most powerful tool alongside water, and it is what helped him remain alive for so long, many came for his head and many lost their lives. He needs a successor to The Endless Abyss and the one requirement is to be of the Sea Dweller bloodline and successfully communicate with the Golden Dragon.

My first step is to prove my past as a Sea Dweller and the only way to do such a thing was with memories of the experiences and culture. Many races stayed isolated or barely connected with other races so by asking questions you could pretty easily tell what race they were from. This ended at around 300-500 years from now. Blood magic was used in the past to see if people had the same bloodline even if it was small. If the two were related their blood would connect, and if they had no relation the blood would remain separate. Well, that's not happening for a long ass time so no need to stress over something that is out of my control.

They spoke a bit along the way about what happened to Kabal and KJ and they also asked KJ about his tribe memories. Kabal fabricated the torture he had been through and gave them a sob story. He spoke of his blood being drawn and altered and pieces of his flesh being cut into.

Ayla: What were your last memories before you got abducted.

KJ: We were learning the water control art of our palace with Instructor Su when it happened. We both veered off course because of a large tide, however, that wasn't the full story. There was a large tide, but we could swim through it. We were grabbed by the ankles by savage beings that took us to the surface, and above is what they call land. I remember like it was yesterday, it was the day of the Festival Reigns.

Sindra and Ayla both nodded as they traveled, they fully believed both of them at this moment. Everything was adding up, it's not like they could be faking these experiences.

Both of the Guardians came to an abrupt stop. They were now in front of the massive palace doors, they were probably more than 30 feet tall. It was an unbelievably spotless thick marble slab door. It was accented by a thick gold trimming that came to a flowery display at the top.

Ayla took a step back, "Sindra you can take the honour this time."

Sindra placed a hand on each door, he slightly crouched down and began to push forward. His veins in his shoulders began to enlarge. They traveled across his chest and there were some on his quads. He looked as if he was a savage beast.

Huh

The doors swung open and a completely white marble floor was on display. There were pillars, statues and display tables made out of a shiny obelisk type stone. A red velvet carpet traveled down to a golden throne. In the middle of the entire palace entrance was an aquamarine coloured transparent Poseidon sculpture.

The room was shaped like an oval and the sides of it had black and gold stairs going up along the wall and another red carpet with another section of the palace was placed behind it.

The throne was completely golden, and it had carvings of waves, the detail was so pristine it looked as though it may even jump out at you.

Sindra and Ayla bowed to their ruler, "We have brought our clansmen. Hurry, greet your ruler!"

Sindra and Ayla sent them inside and chose to guard the outer perimeter of the building.
