The Unexpected Turns

We decorated the house with balloons and ribbons. Survi and Shirley baked the cake and then arranged the dining table with food and drinks. Shirley and I had already brought gifts for our parents but Survi was empty handed as she didn't know about our parent's wedding anniversary. I went out to buy a gift in place of her just to make her first impression good in front of my parents. I searched near and far, but it was quite late and most of the stores were closed. I finally found a shop opened, I entered and saw that the shop contains mostly antique items. I asked, "Can you show something special for my parent's anniversary? "We really don't keep romantic items, but still I have something that can save your day." He took me to a antique yet rare 'Orb of Love' and asked me, "So, what do you think? It is quite old but still does the part of romance it has in it. " I brought the gift and ran towards my home. When I reached home, I saw that my parent's car was already there. I entered and saw that my parents were cutting the cake. My parents still looks like they were in my childhood, well dressed, upstanding and gorgeous. My mother called me, "Why are you late? We were waiting for you." I said with a smile, "How can I not get a gift for you guys? It's your wedding anniversary after all. "My mother poked my head and said, "You are my real gift. Not some materialistic things." After cutting of the cake and little dance, we sat together for dinner. Shirley and I were serving all, my mother asked Survi, "When are you going back to your home?" She replied, "Well, can't say for now. But when the police says that my location is secured, I can go back home." My mom was quite modern but still she is a mother and was looking for a girl for me. She definitely sees Survi as a suitable partner for me. My father is busy in his laptop doing some business related stuff, we are pretty much adapted to his workaholic nature and that sometimes freaks my mom. I asked my mother, "How is the NGO work going?" She replied, "Like it always was. You know how crafty people have become, no one understands the language of honesty. For example, Sandeep Mishra, the local MLA of our locality keeps suppressing our consignments and often crashes saying that the land of the NGO belongs to him. What a pesky person he is!" Survi asked, "What NGO do you run?" My mom replied, "I run a NGO for poor unemployed women who either are illiterate or didn't get any job." My father finally after much time spoke, "Well, Harsh and Survi how are your lives going?" "Well fine" we both replied. After dinner, my parents went to sleep in their room. Shirley was busy with Charlie and his gang. I was arranging the plates when Survi came to help me. She took some plates and I said, "It's OK. I will manage, you go and sleep." She smiled and just lifted some plates, then started washing them. I also didn't not say anything and was doing my part. After a while, she asked, "So, why don't you have a girlfriend? You are such a sweet boy, any girl will love to be your girlfriend." I was startled by her question but still replied, "Well, after Sunaina died; I was traumatized and depressed and having another girl in life was really not on my mind."

"Well, so for how long will you mourn on your girlfriend who even didn't loved you?"- Survi.

"I don't know. No one catches my heart and now my love attraction has really died."

"Well, looks like I have to give a little booster. Want some coffee?"- Survi.

I replied positive. She then prepared coffee for two of us and then we went to the drawing room. She said, "Well, Harsh love is like a bird. If you keep it in a cage, it will thrive to get out. But once we set it free it will find love and attraction. You need a perfect girl in your life." I asked, "Well, Miss Love Guru. I will consider your advice but for now let's talk about something else." "Like?" Survi asked. I said, "Your parents are no more, so who takes care of you?" Survi said, "Well, my aunt sometimes comes and see me. She also has a family of her own, but still she is very caring for me." I asked, " You should have someone who could be with you in your high and lows." We were talking about a little when Shirley returned from her home and saw us. She asked, "What are you two doing so late night? Well, its OK I also wanted to talk." She came and sat beside me and asked Survi, "So, you are an actress and your life must be quite amusing." Survi smiled, "Nah, film life is quite shining from outside but deep down it is much more tiring. We cannot enjoy our life, always under media pressure and cannot roam freely in our favorite places." Shirley said, "Why don't you try in Hollywood? It is quite free there. I met Kristen Stewart that day, she was freely roaming around. Vivek can introduce you to some of his director friends." Survi asked, "Vivek?" Shirley said, "Vivek Khatri, the youngest entrepreneur. He is my boyfriend." Survi smiled and said, "No, I want to promote Bollywood and make entertaining and inspiring movies for the audience." Shirley said, "It's your call. When you want to join, you know my number. Btw, there is a famous acting school made in the honour of Marilyn Monroe. I think you should try it." Shirley left for her room. I said, "Well, Shirley's suggestion is not bad enough. You could try once and moreover it will give you some relief from the ongoing pain in your life." Survi thought for a moment and replied, "OK, I will think about it. I will talk with my manager and if he agrees, I will go with Shirley." I smiled and took my leave. I went to my room and saw that my phone's indicator light is beeping, I opened and saw there was a mail. It was from the same anonymous email Id 'SuppressedSoul@gmail.com'. It reads, "I know who killed Ravi Kumar. Meet me at Sunrise Cafeteria tomorrow morning at sharp 9 am." My heart skipped a beat and I was really scared. My mind was filling with various thoughts and I decided not to trouble Survi with this news. My life is already fucked up and now it is going to have some unexpected turns.....
