Balon make a bet.

"Hoist the sails!"

"Lower the anchor!"

Jin woke up because of the extreme noise.

Looking around, Jin realized he was in Julio's embrace, as he has been in the past few days.

Jin really has been sorry to have owned the little baby, after all, he now has to wait to grow up at least a few years before he can move independently around the world.

Having been in Julio's company, Jin then understood what Karth meant by "you will be surprised".

-Fuck! 'Surprised' is not quite the term I would use to describe my mood, Karth!

Jin cursed in his new heart.

A Song of Ice and Fire in the books.

Game of thrones on television.

Although Jin isn't sure which one he is in, for him, it doesn't make much difference.

After hearing so many familiar names, Jin is almost sure that this is the world of the famous series he watched.

Deep down, Jin had already thought about the possibility that worlds like fiction existed. Since he learned some things that could be considered crazy on earth.

Jin learned that time is the true and only representation of the infinite and 'all', although he does not fully understand the true mysteries of this implication.

Although he imagined that at some point, in the infinite period of time of existence, some universes like those created in fictions could exist, Jin simply did not imagine that he would go to one of them.

-I can't say if this is good or bad, since this universe is said to have gods and where important people usually die.

Jin sighed.

Julio then looked at the baby sigh and also sighed.

-Gods, what did I do to deserve this?

Julio wondered.

It is strange to have to take care of a baby that may have been possessed by a ghost. Every time he cleaned the baby and saw the baby looking at him, Julio felt like cursing.

If the baby were really possessed, he would be cleaning up a grown man and not a baby.

-But if that is the wish of the Gods, then it doesn't matter if he was possessed or not!

Julio tried to comfort himself.

"Hey, Julio, what are you doing standing there? The men are going to need a good meal after they dock the ship and unload it." The lieutenant shouted as he hoisted the sails with the others.

"Hey old man, if there's nothing to eat after we're done, maybe I'll bake this baby of yours to eat" Another man shouted as he threw the anchor overboard.

Julio sighed, looked at the baby and said:

"Do you see your little shit, the insults I need to hear because of you?"

Jin then looked at Julio and scoffed. To Julio, however, it looked like the baby was smiling.

Julio shook his head with a bitter smile and went to the kitchen. He will prepare the same meal he had before leaving the port of the Lannisters.

After a few hours of work, the ship was then unloaded with the help of small boats that took the cargo to the docks.

The captain took a deep breath while sitting in some crate on the docks.

Suddenly, a small commotion formed at the entrance to the docks.

The lieutenant is the first to see it, a Greyjoy banner approaching.

The lieutenant then went to the captain's side and murmured something.

"Balon of the Greyjoy house, lord of the iron islands." The soldier carrying the banner spoke.

The lieutenant and the captain then looked at the man who was coming towards him.

"The shipwreck boat, I never imagined that a ship with such a great reputation has demoted itself to making deliveries." The man who stopped in front of the captain spoke.

He looked to be around 30 years old, had a strong stature and a sharp look.

"I thought the iron men would welcome us with bags of gold, I never imagined that their leader would actually come personally to receive the cargo." The lieutenant spoke after spitting on the floor.

"The bags of gold have already been delivered by the damn Dornishmen, if you want more gold you should have given your ass to the Lannisters soldiers, I heard that some of them have softened tastes." Balon spoke mockingly

The captain then washed up and looked into Balon's eyes as he said:

"Sorry if my lieutenant was rude, but this bastard was born and will die in the sea. Have you ever seen a mother look after her son on a ship like ours?"

Balon then pointed at Julio, who had just shown up on the deck, and said:

"Now I see. It looks like the shipwreck boat has become the boat for the softened. After we check the shipment, you can leave." After saying this, Balon turned and prepared to leave, but the captain suddenly said:

"Wait, Greyjoy! I think I know something you might be interested in."

Balon then stopped, without turning around, and said:

"I hope that something really interests me." And he continued to walk.

The captain then sighed and followed him.

The lieutenant shook his head and looked at Julio.

-Maybe we have really softened.

Julio, who was confused after seeing Ballon Greyjoy pointing at him, sighed and murmured:

"I hope we haven't attracted unnecessary attention."

Jin just looked at Julio while thinking:

-Balon Greyjoy would hardly be interested in an old man like you.

-Just hopefully, if this Balon is the Balon I know, the inclusion of Julio on that ship will not change the original timeline.

-It will already be very problematic to find the source of this universe, I don't want to have to deal with other matters when I know that everything will have a relatively good ending as in the original ending of the series.

-If Julio suddenly lets go of a fart and changes some key point ... I'll have to do more than find the damn source.

While Jin thought, he didn't notice Julio's deep gaze.

- That baby ...

He then sighed and shook his head

"Cook! I hope we don't have to roast your baby to kill our hunger!" A man suddenly shouted.

"Go to the shit! the food is in the kitchen, do you want me to put in your mouth?" Julio replied.

The men laughed and said in one voice:

"If you accept..."

Julio almost spit blood, and Jin found the situation a little amusing.

-This old man ... He's not a bad person. He reminds me of one of my teachers ...

Jin thought with nostalgia.

"Old Julio!" The lieutenant suddenly called out to him while he boarded the ship.

Julio frowned after seeing the lieutenant's serious look and asked after he get close:

"What's it?"

"See if you don't get any more unnecessary attention, the iron islands are not a good place for old foreigners."

Julio nodded and asked:

"Can I know what the captain wants with Balon Greyjoy?"

"Yes, but I think it's better not." The lieutenant replied and looked at the baby

"Is it just me or the baby never cried since you guys got on this ship?"

"I already said that this baby is not normal ..." Julio replied with a sigh

The lieutenant frowned and asked:

"I remember when you first met that you said the baby couldn't die, what does that mean?"

"It means exactly that." Julio spoke and started walking towards the kitchen, to make sure the men didn't make a big mess.

The lieutenant sighed and followed him.

"You bastards! What did you do in my kitchen !?" After a while, screams could be heard all over the ship.

Meanwhile, the captain and Balon talked while having a beer.

"Do you really think this is possible? I don't think the iron bench really believes in something so stupid." Balon spoke while being petted by a prostitute.

"See? That's what I believe, Lys women are amazing" He said while kissing the bitch's breasts.

"Do you really think I would make my trip here if I wasn't absolutely sure?" The captain said angrily

"Even if you're right, and this talk of reviving dragons is true. How the hell would I profit? It's not like the iron bank has an interest in dividing dragon eggs." Balon didn't seem to care much about what the captain proposed.

"You don't understand, do you really think that there are only a few dragon eggs in the world? I have heard stories of countless eggs lost in the Valyrian penisula, and countless others scattered across the land of shadows."

"And even if we don't find eggs in those places, I'm sure that many people have these eggs as decoration all over the world."

After hearing the captain's words, Balon spoke irritably:

"The doom still rules in valyria, have you forgotten that? As for the shadowlands, that is said to be a cursed place, why would I risk my men or resources on such a dangerous expedition?"

"You must bet, Balon. I can only say that I never lost an important bet before. Have you forgotten my reputation yet?"

Ballon was then silent for a while and said:

"" The square coin of the seas "," the data of the storms "," the luck hidden in danger. "I've heard many of your titles, but I don't really know you, if you want me to risk something on this expedition, you must show a good reason. "

"My ship!" The captain shouted and Balon frowned.

"It's not called shipwreck boat for no reason, do you know why?"

"I heard" Balon replied

"It's not just tales, that ship was made by reusing the material from more than 30 shipwrecks. And it has been swimming for 50 years over the storms. Have you heard of how many times we came back from an expedition where all the other ships sank?"

"I have to admit that you speak like a captain of the iron islands." Balon spoke as he stood up

"But I don't believe in just words!"

Seeing that Balon was leaving, the captain hesitated a little, but then put a map on the table with a crash.

Ballon then looked at the map and said:

"It is incomplete!"

"But of course it is incomplete, do you think I would bring it complete for you to just kill me and steal it from?"

Balon didn't seem to mind the insult and asked:

"How important is this map?"

"It is the real reason for my confidence, if you want to know more than that, you will have to swear to your god that you will support this expedition."

Balon then hesitated for a moment and said:

"I could just kill you and look for the other part of the map, but I know it's impossible for me to find it if I kill you."

"Two ships with a crew, that's all I can offer. If you want money you should go to the damn Lannisters."

"Don't be stingy Greyjoy, do you really think two ships would make a difference?" The captain asked mockingly.

After a brief silence, Balon said in a firm voice:

"Five ships with crew, and you better take it before I change my mind." Greyjoy said as he offered a handshake

The captain smiled fiercely and shook hands.

"May the drowned God wipe out your crew if you're trying to trick me." Balon said as he looked into the captain's eyes.

"Your God must have tried already." The captain laughed.

Ballon then left while saying:

"The ships and the crew will be ready to leave in seven days."

The captain then picked up the map and sighed slightly.

-I think at least we have a chance now.

He thought as he put some coins on the counter and started back to his ship.

Jin was tired, after hearing Julio's screams as he tried to scare the crew to out the kitchen after seeing the mess.

"One day I'm going to poison the food of those bastards." Julio murmured angrily.

Jin then looked at the old man with interest and thought:

-It seems that the old man started to get used to life on that ship. I fear that before we arrive in Essos he will decide to continue working as a 'sea cook'.

After Julio cleaned up the mess, the captain suddenly entered the kitchen with a look of interest.

"I heard the miserable say that the men made a mess here. It looks like you would make a good deck cleaner too, old man." He said laughing.

"Do not play with that!" Julio smiled bitterly.

The captain then sat in one of the chairs and asked:

"What do you think about living on a ship?"

"Besides shit? Terrible!" Julio said as he wiped the mop on the floor.

The captain laughed and said:

"Is that so? In fact, Julio, a business came up for me and I decided to go on an expedition, which can take years to bear any fruit ..."

"Despite this, as I said, we will stop in Bravos, where we have other business to do." After saying this, the captain got up and started to leave, but suddenly stopped and said:

"If you change your mind, I and I bet that all this crew, would like you to stay with us. It's good to have a trusted cook on the high seas." He then left, leaving Julio behind with a hesitant look.

Looking at the baby on the table, who seemed to be looking at him too, Julio sighed and thought:

-It's not like I'm not going to enjoy spending the rest of my life on the high seas like I dreamed when I was young ... But I don't think the sea is a good place for a boy to grow up, even if the damn is possessed by a ghost.

After spending a good time with the baby, Julio started to create some bonds without realizing it. But Jin realized, and he can only sigh and wish the old man good luck.

-I think I'm going to owe this old man a lot ...

Jin thought worriedly.
