"What happened to him? Why didn't he wake?"
An old man was fuming in anger towards the doctors that treated Ryug.
'Sir, we don't know the cause but his vitals are returning to normal. It'll only be a matter of time before he wakes up'
The chief doctor was trying to comfort the old man. If the old man goes berserk, there will be no stopping him until the hospital is down to the ground.
"It better be before noon, otherwise don't blame for the consequences you face"
The old man warned the doctor.
The chief doctor felt a chill in his spine and his expression became dark. How can he wake up the young man lying peacefully in the bed?
'I don't even know the cause for his state'
The doctor was anxious and urged all the healers to do something. If he didn't wake him up, his career is doomed to go down the drain.
The old man was the patriarch of one of eight great families. The strongest of the eight great families: The Azure Dragon Family. His clan controls the government behind the curtains. If he goes on a rampage only the Patriarch of the Ice Pheonix family can temporarily stop him.
Darius, A.K.A Mad Dragon, The patriarch of the Azure Dragon Family. The hero that contributed in saving mankind. His powers are fearsome once enraged, he won't stop until a sea of blood is appears. His hard work has brought the Azure Dragon family to rise above the ranks and stand at the peak.
'Master, Ryug will be alright.' Shadow said to the old man.
"I know but seeing him powerless make my heartache. Inflicting damage after being powerless. He's one stubborn kid" the old man was smiling as tears welled up in his eyes.
Shadow tightened his fists.
'Master, should we make a move'
"No, wait until the kid wakes up. If he says, I wanna see who can stop my rampage"
An imperious aura excluded from the body of the old man covering the whole hospital.
'Master control yourself. Ryug will also be affected by your aura'
The old man concealed his aura. But, his eyes were bloodshot from anger.
Shadow was concerned about the patriarch. The patriarch never lost his cool since Ryug was born. This time it seemed like he was ready to fight anyone who comes in his way.
***In the Hospital bed***
He opened his eyes.
He saw a white ceiling, and his nose stung from the odour of disinfectants. He also felt the sensation of a hard mattress against his back.
Ryug immediately recognised where he was.
'A hospital?'
Ever since he owned a domain, the frequency of him staying in one had decreased. That was one of the speciality of owning a domain. It would heal its owner unconditionally.
Blinking with surprise, he looked at his chest sharply. No wounds. Just a scrawny body that looked like it could barely take a punch from a child, which was the opposite of the power-packed form he was used to.
"You've finally woken up."
Ryug was surprised by the excited voice coming from the corner of the hospital room and hurriedly turned his head to look.
The Chief Doctor and the healers in charge of Ryug were jumping happily. After seeing the confused look on Ryug's face the doctor apologised.
"I apologise if we took you by surprise."
"We were scared if you didn't wake up, we wouldn't know what may happen to us"
The Chief Doctor was basically crying in joy. Seeing the expressions of the doctors Ryug was startled.
"How many days was I out?"
The reply they conveyed was rather surprising, though.
"I was unconscious for a whole week?!"
"Yes, We were at our wits end. Imagining what would happen if you didn't wake up.."
The chief doctor was again thanking Ryug for waking up.
The information of Ryug waking up spread faster than a wildfire. All his family members were gathered in his hospital bedroom to see him. The one most anxious person was his grandparents.
Ryug was happy to see his grandparents.
"Ryug, Are you okay? Do you feel pain somewhere?"
The one who spoke was Ryug's Grandmother. She was an elegant lady with silver hair. There were no wrinkles on her face. She was one of the strongest raider on her generation. She left the raids after she got married.
"It's nothing grandma."
Ryug smiled seeing the concern on his grandmother's face.
"You have lost all your powers and your origin core has gone missing"
"I am aware."
Ryug didn't think too much and casually spoke.
"But I still want to be a Raider."
Both his grandparents exchanged meaningful glances. For some reason, they seemed to be troubled by Ryug's decision.
Ryug losing his power meant a drastic change in the rankings and the one who stood at the peak is placed at the bottom of the rank.
'A mortal with no powers has no right to be a raider.'
'He will be just an extra weight'
A few geniuses angrily declared.
'He knows he is a cripple. He should stay in his room'
'He is the biggest disgrace to our family.'
A few of the older geniuses lamented.
"Shut up!"
An ominous aura pressed against the geniuses of the family who came to visit Ryug.
"You Bunch Of Trashes! You Wouldn't Amount To Fart When Compared To What He Had Contributed. What Rights Do You Lot Have To Trash Talk him"
seeing their matriarch flared up. The commenting geniuses were like scared kittens hiding behind their elders for protection.
Ryug's grandmother retracted her aura and asked Ryug,
"Are you sure about raiding the Gate's again? Ryug"
"Yes, Grandma. I will start from the basics again"
Hearing it, She smiled.
"Chosen wisely."
"Believe in me"
That's all Ryug spoke before everyone left.
The hospital room that felt rather small suddenly became quiet and lonely.
"…"
Jin-Woo scratched the back of his neck.
'I guess it time to start from the beginning, then.'
Well, if he thought about it, besides him feeling refreshed, there didn't seem to be any change to him at all.
He closed his eyes and opened them again.
"Master, What should I do now?"
"Chant the mantra until you get a grasp of golden energy forming inside your body."
"What if it takes too long?"
"Until then, chant the mantra"
"..."
"It's a waste of time to argue with me. Do as I say?"
Ryug started to chant the mantra and entered into a meditative trance.
***Outside the Hospital***
"He says he going to the raid's again? Can't you do something to change his mind"
"We can't change his mind. You know he's a stubborn kid"
Ryug's grandma was talking to her husband about changing Ryug's mind.
"But..."
Before she could say another word, she was cut off by her husband.
"He said to believe in him"
"So, Believe in him"
Ryug's grandma was silent after hearing this. She murmured to herself,
"Believe in him"
