Where's the fun in that

Ying Yue strode through the lobby of Changsu, flipping her hair at the receptionist as she passed by. One of her hands was swaying gently beside her, and the other one was in her pocket -- clutching a few strands of Song Yinan's hair.

If he was really Ying Shen, surely, they'd match through a sibling DNA test, right?

Feeling a bit better, she whistled a tune as she stopped outside the building to wait for a taxi. She asked Fei Haocheng for some time off this morning, but she still had to go in during the afternoon.

Suddenly, a familiar car stopped in front of her, and a man came out of the driver's seat with an irked look on his face. "Haven't you ever heard of the saying not to visit the tiger's den on your own?"

She lifted her eyebrows at him. "Shenghui! What are you doing here?"

"I should be the one asking you that. Get inside the car." His lips thinned in displeasure as he glanced up at the Changsu building. His tone was quite reprimanding, and she didn't really like it. But since she didn't have any other ride back to the company, she opened the door to the passenger seat and got in as he continued to scold her. "I'm not the only one uncomfortable with that Su Jianjun and yet here you are stepping into his territory like a prey putting herself into a trap."

"That's okay. I knew you were following me anyway. And there are two cars that belong to the Dragon Club tailing me at all times." She grinned.

"You…" Xi Shenghui fixed his eyes on the road and shook his head in exasperation.

"Besides, I wasn't there for Su Jianjun, I was there for Song Yinan." Ying Yue started rifling through her purse until she found a few small ziplocks meant for her anti-allergy medications. She emptied them out and slipped the strands of hair inside.

"What's that?" Xi Shenghui frowned. What did this girl do this time?

She then took a strand of her own hair and placed it into another ziplock, labelling it with her name. "Here. Get this to Mo Yiling so he can have it processed for a sibling DNA test."

He eyed the packets briefly. "If you just wanted a hair sample you could've asked anyone to get it for you."

She turned to him with a grin, "Now where's the fun in that?"

Xi Shenghui's jaw dropped for a second. He didn't know if he should laugh or cry. This woman really didn't know the meaning of the word 'safety.'

A smile was still on her face as she turned her head outside the car window. When the results of the DNA test come back, her heart could finally settle.

On reflex, she slipped out her phone and dialed Fei Huangjin's number, forgetting the fact that despite the numerous times she'd tried to call him, his phone was out of service. She was too happy that moment with the thought that Song Yinan was most likely her brother, and she wanted to share the good news to him.

"The number you are calling is out of coverage area."

Ying Yue's smile gradually disappeared. Why was Fei Huangjin still uncontactable? Could something have happened to him?

"Guan Ting!" An irritable Fei Huangjin ran a hand through his hair as he waded through a shallow stream. "I swear--, if your sources still say he's somewhere where he isn't, I'll make sure to skin you alive and leave you here for good."

Guan Ting rubbed the back of his neck. It wasn't his fault that the man they were looking for wanted to hide at the rural parts of this country. Besides, he couldn't blame him; if he was a stinky old man who learned that the devil called Fei Huangjin was coming for a visit, he'd want to hide, too. "Sir, he's been jumping places to run from us. Rest assured, he'll stop running one of these days."

"You do realize I've left a company and my wife back home, right? Do you know how it feels to leave your woman and not be able to contact her because SOMEONE," he stressed, "forgot to bring the satellite phone and the other equipment?" Fei Huangjin's jaw clenched a few times, but his shoulders relaxed a bit as the village they were heading to came into view. "Oh wait, you don't have a wife or a girlfriend, so of course you wouldn't know how it feels."
