Is that all?

"You idiot…" She muttered under her breath.

Fei Huangjin couldn't hear it, and he became distracted instead by something yellow on her legs. Was that lotion? Or some kind of cream? "You seem to have gotten your legs dirty. Let me wipe that off--"

"Is that all?" Her hands trembled with fury on either side of her. Dirty? He dares to call her pastries dirty? And to think he didn't even seem to know what he'd done!

He paused to gaze at her unhappy face.

And she started again, breathing deeply. "I waited for you to apologize to me last night. I waited for you to come looking for me. Hell, I even half expected you to barge into my apartment this morning, but instead you show up in the middle of the street, almost causing an accident and killing me." She gritted her teeth. She wanted to teach him a lesson, so she wasn't budging and neither was she going to forgive him right that instant.

Cars that passed by slowed by them before speeding up again at the sight of the gun in her hand, but a few pedestrians walking by stopped to take pictures of the two.

Fei Huangjin sighed. "I didn't look for you after the incident because I thought you needed space--"

She flashed him an ugly look. "Since when have you even cared about that?"

His mouth opened and closed. Well, he couldn't deny that… "And, I wasn't trying to kill you just now."

"What are you even doing making a scene out on the road in broad daylight? Don't tell me that the great Fei Huangjin, the CEO of Fei International, simply just wanted to be on the front page of the tabloids. I'd never believe it! You hate that."

He flinched. "I just thought you'd be… moved." He made a mental note to strangle Guan Ting later for suggesting such an embarrassing thing.

Ying Yue had the urge to put her palm on her forehead at how stupid that sounded. "Huangjin, I need to go to work. And because of this STUPID STUNT OF YOURS, you've rendered yourself, and myself, late, and you've messed up the pastries I've bought for myself! I can't even--- urghhhh!" She got inside the car and slammed the door behind her, tossing the gun onto the front seat. "Drive. Go around his car. I don't even care if you run over him right now!"

The man gulped. How could the madam say such a thing about the master of the Dragon Club?

***

A man sitting in his car was parked at the connecting street. He glanced at Fei Huangjin's retreating figure. When Fei Huangjin realized that he couldn't drive off because one of his tires were punctured, he looked like he was about to pull his hair out as he called someone over the phone.

The man's expression didn't change. He tipped his head backwards as he thought about how to report things to his boss.

He didn't lag around any longer and decided to call Su Jianjun straight away. "Sir," the word rolled on his lips naturally.

"You already have news so soon? I believe it was less than an hour ago when I asked you to follow her." Su Jianjun sounded amused over the phone.

He was sure that his boss was going to enjoy the news he'd be bringing him even more. "Miss Ying seems to have gotten in a fight with CEO Fei."

"Oh?" Su Jianjun chuckled. "How so?"

"I'm not sure, sir. But I believe they were already in bad terms before he stopped her on the street this morning. She almost shot him." He could feel Su Jianjun's laughter reverberate across the phone.

"Oh, I wish I could have seen that! I should've just gone after her myself."

The man scratched his neck. "The security around her appears to be relaxed. Since the CEO isn't around her, should I just proceed with the plans now?"

"Hmm." Su Jianjun toyed with the pen in his hand, and he stood up to look outside the glass wall of his office. "Follow her for the rest of the day. Familiarize her schedule, where she goes, what she eats. We'll make our move in a few days when Yinan comes back."

"Understood, sir."
