So? Tell me

The tech room became filled with chaos and turmoil. The staff were running here and there; even the screen up front seemed more disorganized than usual. If both spies had been captured, this would be the first time this had happened in almost a decade. There hadn't been an incident like this for years already. Big Boss's experience and strategic planning had been sharpened to a T, and now here comes his successor, who ruins it all.

Ying Yue internally cringed. She could just imagine what a blow this could be to Juyan.

And then her worst fears were realized when one of the staff announced, "I don't have anything on their vital signs!"

"I don't have a visual on the back-up spy. He's not in the location!"

The room exploded in groans. Not being able to get vital signs meant that either the watch was separated from the wearer, or that the wearer was dead.

Everything was a mess; and in the center of it all, was Ying Yue.

"Sir. Su Jianjun's assistant stepped forward after receiving a call. His face was stoic and expressionless, but it was clear he was about to report on something important.

"Was that Yinan?" Su Jianjun tapped on his empty glass, and the assistant nodded as he moved to pour more whiskey for him. "So? Tell me."

"He has the two spies from Juyan."

Su Jianjun broke out into a wide grin. How amusing. Juyan must be in a mess right now, and that woman must be racking her head on what went wrong. Little did she know the facility was already expecting them. He had someone hire Juyan for this operation, and he had someone spill the beans to the facility. It was too easy, really. "Are they alive?" He snickered.

The assistant took a deep breath. "One of them is dead; and the other has his bones broken."

"Good. Good." How enjoyable. He'd finally uncovered Fei Huangjin's weakness to be in the form of a woman, and he was having the time of his life destroying that woman's life. Su Jianjun's laughter soon filled every corner of the room.

When they were kids, Fei Huangjin was the best at almost everything. There was only one thing Su Jianjun had beat him at, and that was in the game of chess. Su Jianjun had an astounding amount of patience, and he had the talent for looking five steps ahead of his opponent. That was something Fei Huangjin never learned to do. The man may be a step ahead of the rest, but Su Jianjun was much further than that.

And that was why it was so easy for him to destroy Fei Huangjin -- the very man who scoffed at his existence, his family, and his life.

"Sir, I was unable to find an opening in Juyan. Everyone seems quieter and more loyal. I heard those who disliked Miss Ying were asked to leave. Which means that other than the limited update provided to us, we won't be able to know their next move…" The assistant trailed off. He didn't have to finish what he was saying, Su Jianjun understood.

He understood that Juyan won't be providing much updates to their client now that they've run into trouble with the project. And with no insider in Juyan willing to be a double agent, they couldn't be sure about what Juyan would do about the situation.

However…

"Don't worry," Su Jianjun appeared unfazed, like he already expected it. "Judging by Ying Yue's personality, I can already presume what's about to happen. Think about it: the best spy in Juyan becomes the boss, and now that she's failed at being the boss, what do you think she'd do?

The assistant looked at him with his brows raised.

"She'll go and spy on the facility herself." Su Jianjun said confidently. "Her pride won't allow her not to."

The other man thought about it for a moment before nodding. "I'll inform Mr. Song to expect her soon."
