I know, I know

"What are you frowning about?" At their bedroom at the Majestic Gardens, Fei Huangjin glanced up from his tablet to set his eyes on Ying Yue, whose face was contorted into an unhappy expression as she fumbled with her laptop with one hand.

A month had passed since she'd been medically cleared to go home, but since then, she still hadn't gained much strength on her left arm, and she had difficulty typing or holding things for too long with the hand on that side. In contrast, Fei Huangjin was recovering better than expected, and his arm sling had just been disposed of during the previous day.

She felt frustrated at her condition, and she had worked piled up for her at Juyan. Xi Shenghui had been covering for her in the meantime, but that didn't stop her from feeling uneasy.

"Ying Yue."

"Hmm?" She turned to Fei Huangjin with her eyebrows raised.

"I asked why you were frowning," he looked at her pointedly, as if to say that she wasn't listening properly again.

She sighed and looked down at her laptop. "I'm just a bit miffed that my arm hasn't been recovering that well."

"Li Hsiung said it's normal since you've lost a lot of blood on that arm and there was some nerve damage as well, but since you're still continuing with physical therapy sessions, it'll be fine—"

"I know. I know." She cut him off with another frustrated sigh. "I just… don't know what to do."

Fei Huangjin stared at her in silence for some time, and just watched her closely as she put her things away. He didn't want her to feel so dejected over this.

He turned off his tablet and went to sit beside her on the bed, then he pulled her into his arms. "I know what you can do."

"What is it?" She turned to him with her bright amorous eyes that tugged at his heart. Her lips looked pink and soft and seemed like they were begging to be toyed with kisses. Gaaaahhh, why was his wife so delectable? He wanted to eat her up right at this moment.

"You can kiss me," he smirked.

She gave him a blank look, before pulling away with an expression that was something akin to disgust. "I'm being serious here. How could you say that right now? You're being self-centered, Huangjin."

What was so wrong about that suggestion? Fei Huangjin felt some emptiness when she pulled away, and ended up twisting his lips into a pout. "I'm not being self-centered, honey."

"You are," she frowned and put a pillow between them. "I was honestly saying how I felt and all you were thinking about was making out right now? Huangjin, seriously…"

He sighed and looked at the pillow between them frustratingly. "I was sincerely going to say something else, but then you looked so lovely—"

"Oh, so you're saying it's my fault now?"

"I'm not saying that—"

"I'm going to sleep," Ying Yue declared, flashing him an angry look before pulling the covers over her and turning her body away from him.

"Yue… can we talk about this?" Fei Huangjin ran a hand through his hair sulkily. But Ying Yue didn't bother responding to him, so he laid back on his side with a sigh. "Haaaa…"

Ying Yue wasn't actually sleepy yet. There were so many thoughts bothering her head right now, but she forced herself to stay quiet on her side of the bed. Not to mention, she hadn't even finished much work tonight. She was disappointed in herself.

She was debating over whether or not she should go to her office in Juyan the next day when she felt a strong arm sneaking under her head, and the other one pulling her to a warm, hard chest. Ying Yue sighed. Did this man still want to make out?

"If you're having a hard time with work, I can hire someone to be your assistant."

His words made her freeze. An assistant? She hadn't considered that, ever. "That's a good idea, but Juyan has too many confidential operations and paperworks. We do run an intelligence agency, you know."

"I know," he said quietly. And then he added, "But we can let the assistant do the menial tasks so that you and Xi Shenghui can focus on the more important things. Why don't you just think about it first?"

"I will…"

"Also, while you're thinking about that, why don't you think about when we can hold a proper wedding?"
