In two weeks

"Since you're currently on leave, it wouldn't be bad to hold one soon." Ying Yue's eyes widened at his words and she turned her body around to look at him fully. There was a serious look on Fei Huangjin's face, and he stared back at her with a deep look of determination. "I want to give you a wedding you can be happy with. I may have rushed you through this marriage, but I still want to exchange vows with you in front of everyone. I want to see you walking down that aisle to me. I want to exchange rings with my wife, too." His hand came up to tuck a few strands of hair behind her ear so he could look at her face properly.

Oh, right. They were married, but they still haven't had any wedding rings made. She blushed at that thought.

"That's… going to take a lot of preparation. We won't be able to organize one so soon," she hesitantly said.

But he replied with a smile on his lips, looking confident in himself. "In case you forgot, you're married to the most powerful man here, honey. There's nothing I can't do. We can hold a wedding next week if you want that."

"That's too soon!"

"Mmm, I know. I was just saying."

"How about two weeks from now?"

Her question momentarily surprised him. He had expected her to suggest having one at least a month from now, so asking him if holding a wedding in two weeks was fine honestly made him flattered. Instead of answering her directly, he flashed her a wide smile, showing how pleased he was that she suggested that. "I love you, you know?"

Her face immediately reddened. "So about the two weeks…"

"Our wedding in two weeks would be perfect." He grinned. "Don't you have something to tell me?"

"Tell you what?" She became flustered, and tried to hide her face by pressing herself against his chest. She knew what he was asking about. But she often felt embarrassed with saying those words.

A deep rumble of laughter could be heard reverberating from his chest. "I think you know what I mean."

"Hmm."

He only smiled. Fei Huangjin didn't want to force her to say those words. It didn't matter anyway. He knew what she felt, and he knew what he felt for her. Besides, people can say those words easily, but not anyone could back it up by actions.

But not his wife. His brilliant, beautiful wife even went as far as try to die for him to live. There's no stronger declaration of love than that.

The silence between them was far from uncomfortable, and soon, their breaths evened out, and Fei Huangjin fell into a deep sleep with Ying Yue in his arms.

And when she was sure he was sleeping, Ying Yue finally lifted her face from his chest to stare at Fei Huangjin's face – a face she'd come to know so well that she could practically memorize each sharpness and curve of it. "I love you," she whispered. And after a while, she added, "I love you more than the moon loves the Earth, and more than the sun loves the sky."

It was a statement that her father used to tell her when he tucked her into bed. She never understood it before – finding it somewhat cheesy and ridiculous. But now, she understood it far too well.

Ying Yue could feel herself getting sleepy, and so she tucked back her head against his chest. It felt good to sleep with him like this. He felt so warm and comfortable against her that, in a few seconds, she fell asleep.

She failed to see that Fei Huangjin's lips had now curved up into a smile. So she knew how to say it in words, after all.
