Arrival

The cold air bit at Cayden's face and Karma dashed through the woods, dodging or jumping everything in her path.

Karma started to slow as she caught a whiff of food and people, 'Civilization.' Karma thought, stopping right before the tree line.

Cayden slid off her back. "I will be back." He said.

'I will stay here.' She smiled a big toothy smile and sat down.

Cayden headed towards the edge and looked back at her. She nodded him to go on, so he continued.

'You don't have to wait for him you know?' Came a voice in her head.

'Who are you?' Karma asked looking around.

'That doesn't matter. What matters is that your a sitting duck right now. Sitting near civilization where anyone could walk into the forest and see you.'

'I told him I would stay here. And I'm more of a sitting goose!' Karma scoffed

'Ok, puppy.' He scoffed in return. 'Loyal until death, is that it? Must do everything he says?'

Karma rolled her eyes. She wondered why she hadn't smelled another wolf. 'Isn't stalking illegal?'

'It isn't stalking if your in your own land.'

'So your the alpha here?'

'Yours truly.' The male thought in a sarcastic voice. 'I could kill you for being here, if I wanted. You could be a threat to my pack.'

'We don't mean any harm. We are but passing by. I happened to shred my clothes and needed new ones. Hope you don't mind.' Karma replied in an even more sarcastic tone, turning around to look and see who was talking. She was met with no ones face.

'It is an honor to have a Prophecy wolf in my territory, why would I mind?'

'A what?' Karma asked before being able to process what she was saying.

'Were you born with two different colored eyes?'

'Ugh, no.'

'Then you are a Prophecy wolf.'

Karma was confused 'Prophecy wolf?'

'Yes. They are of the utmost rank. It is said your land will be blessed if one happens to even step one foot into your land. But, here you are, sitting on my land.'

'I am sorry, I have no clue what you are talking about.'

'It is said that, "A Prophecy wolf, is a wolf whose entire being is meant to change the werewolves way of life. To redirect them into the path they are meant to be on."' He quoted. 'Most do not know what they are until they find the Prophecy book.'

'Would that mean you are one?'

'Oh, no, a Prophecy wolf is only born every one thousand years! For two to be born even 100 years apart could mean disaster!' This male obviously knew what he was talking about.

'What are the traits of these "Prophecy wolves" you speak of?'

'I could not tell you. No book speaks of it. It is a feeling and trait that is not widely known.'

'Then if I may, how would one know if they really are a Prophecy wolf,' Karma thought a second, 'and how would you know I am one?'

'I do not for sure know, it was a simple guess.' He said. 'My mother had told me a story of one of her great great grandmothers, who was a Prophecy wolf. I never forgot that story.'

'May I here it?'

"Not today. If you wish for me to continue my story, head west for three hours until you reach River Forest. That is my land and you are sure to find me, I will tell you the rest if I see you again." Came a growl of a voice, followed by the sound of leaves crunching under paws, trotting off.

"Who was that?" Came Caydens voice, making Karma jump.

"Im not sure," she said morphing back. "do you know anything about Prophecy wolves?"

"Not much. My mother had told me and my brother about one of her great great grandmothers, who was a Prophecy wolf, once. But, I can't recall details. Sorry."

'How strange' Karma thought to herself. Getting her clothes she morphed back to her wolf and put them in her mouth. 'We must continue.' Karma thought, this time sharing it with Cayden.

A few hours later they had finally reached their destination. 'Welcome to River forest.' Cayden thought.

Karma looked over at him. 'Ready?' She asked.

'After you.'
