Silver wings management

Perseus yawned as he stood up inside the guild house. He had just logged in after a nice meal with his master last night.

He quickly pulled up his guild status sheet and looked over it

"yes"

A crude blue map with dots placed on it appeared in front of him. Perseus could see the dots spread out around the entire map. He and the guild house were represented by the large glowing white dot, and the guild members were all displayed as green dots.

Perseus heard knock on the door to his bedroom. Jack's young voice quietly asked him

"um master, some of the new members have finished their quests"

Perseus closed the map and walked to the door. He opened it to see Jack standing there looking at him with clear eyes.

Perseus had decided to just bring Jack and the rest of the people with him back to the guild house. They could deal with the exploration of the mine later.

Jack was wearing a simple white cotton shirt and brown pants. His short curly brown hair and his clean skin, after he cleaned up in the bathroom in the guild house.

Perseus hadn't really noticed or cared until now, but most of the guild members were extremely dirty when the rolled up to the guild house. The younger members didn't have a concept of hygiene and Perseus was more focused on getting a good foundation then cleanliness.

But now, he had set up a guild, had a crazy expensive guild house that doubled as a training center. And a few guys were already waiting for him with their finished quests. They hadn't been registered in the adventure guild because there was an age limit of 13 years old.

Technically Perseus was much younger then that, but as long as nobody knew and he looked 15 everything was good.

Perseus finally reached the bottom floor and looked at the 5 young guild members who were standing in front of him. They had placed in front of them 2 dead horned rabbits. The young bandits were almost completely covered in dirt and blood and judging from the wounds on the rabbits and the scratches on the young members, it was a difficult fight.

But the young members stood happily in front of Perseus, even though they were covered in mud and dirt they stood tall and proud. And how could Perseus not reward them for their hard work?

Perseus smilled and picked up the rabbits, even though they weren't of very good quality, he nodded and put it in his inventory. He then turned to the young members and smilled while ruffling their hair.

"well done, you have the rest of the day off, feel free to explore the place and don't go anywhere alone"

The 5 members nodded intently and happily went off. Perseus called out to them before they left

"Clean yourself up first"

The young members turned around and looked at Perseus with a confused expression. One of the bolder members stepped up and asked Perseus cautiously with a shivering voice.

"c-clean up-p?"

Perseus then instantly knew that he had a long path before him. He sighed and facepalmed in his head and motioned to the worried members to follow him outside.

It wasn't placed on the facilities list, probably because it was deemed unimportant, but a well was outside, right behind the mansion. It was a regular stone well with a large and deep hole that had water on the bottom of it.

Perseus led the 5 to the well and pulled up a bucket of water from the pulley system on the well. The 5 boys looked at the well like it was a strange machine.

He motioned to one of the boys to walk up and he did so tentatively. Perseus couldn't even see his facial features because of all of the mud and blood that covered him. He took the bucket of water and splashed it over his head.

Dirt and blood stained water started to hit the grass and Perseus tried his best to rub out the dirt and blood from the boy's body.

Jason saw almost completely dark red hair emerge after he washed away the dirt. That and violet eyes that reminded Perseus of a flower he once saw back on earth in the training campus. The bucket of water ran out and Perseus had to pull up another bucket.

Perseus didn't bother telling the boys to take off the clothes they were also dirty and they had nothing to change into. (he asked Boops to remind him to get clothes later) Instead, Perseus just splashed the entire bucket of water onto him. He motioned to Jack to help pull up buckets of water.

To ease the awkward atmosphere and uncanny silence Perseus tried to talk a bit with the boys as he cleaned them up. He asked them about what they wanted to be, the first boy only muttered something about his family before Perseus finished and moved on to the next person.

Thankfully that boy was much more extraverted and bold, even though he was still cautious at first. When no beatings came he started to look around confused, because he was used to that happening to him. Then seeing Perseus working so hard to clean the boys up even getting some mud on his own clothes. That boy started to get faint memories of his own family before he was sold off.

The ten-year-old boy in front of Perseus whose's hair was light blond and a faint silver, he smilled with a tear falling down his face. He said in a voice that struggled to not cry

"m-mister, I want to be like you, a s-strong person"

Perseus slightly panicked at the sudden tears, but he managed to calm himself down. He squatted down and ruffled the blond/silver hair on the boy. He smilled the charming smile he showed the receptionist and said in a quiet voice

"don't worry, ill train all of you to be strong"

The boy wiped his tears and looked up to Perseus with imploring eyes.

"really?"

Perseus stood up and looked at the boy with a mischievous grin similar to his masters.

"Trust me, we won't stop until we are at the very top of the world kid"

Perseus then picked the boy up and placed him a few feet away. The next boy came up shy and nervous.

Somehow Perseus had diffused the nervous tension, maybe because 10-year-olds are easily duped but the ones witnessing that moment with Perseus and the blond/silver-haired kid had stopped treating him like one of their old bandit masters.

The rest of the boys weren't able to talk as well as the boy in front of them. When Perseus tried to talk to them, they just nervously nodded. When he asked them about what they wanted to be they only looked at him a bit confused.

They had lived their entire lived struggling to survive and now they were being asked what they wanted to do?

None of them had an answer and silence was the only thing that met Perseus.

Perseus had slightly expected that and when he finished cleaning up the boys he said to them with a smile

"Alright, your clothes are pretty wet so just go and do whatever you want outside, I'm going into the city for some business. Jack, can you clean the other kids up like how I just did?"

Jack quickly nodded

"yes, master! leave it to me!"

Perseus nodded as he could already spot some more dirt covered boys walking up to the mansion in the distance.

He was a bit worried that some might be seriously injured or even killed. But they needed to get stronger somehow and Perseus wasn't going to babysit each and every one of them. If they wanted to get strong they needed to do things on their own.

Perseus got onto the guild wagon. He had already loaded it up with the bandit's supplies and loot that he didn't need. Perseus could see barrels of fruits and potatoes, along with some weapons that were impractical for any of the guild members. Perseus grinned

There was only one place to sell things at a good price. It also happened to be the place where he was best suited to work in thanks to his negotiation skill.

Perseus almost couldn't hold in the burst of evil laughter that was threatening to escape his lips. He lowered his head as to try not and let anyone see his face. Because a grin, like Jason's grin when he did something stupid and mischievous started to shine through.

And that was the debut of Perseus the evil merchant a terror to all who wished to spend their money wisely.
