The Return

Perseus snapped his eyes open from the deep slumber. He awoke to the shining sun streaming through the windows, the birds chirped out in a sweet melody. Perseus let a small grin cover his face. Logging into WOW always felt extremely gratifying it was like waking up out of a sweet dream and going into a different world.

In fact, Perseus had spent most of his life in WOW than in reality, and to be honest, he felt much more at home in his bedroom in the guild house, than in any other place.

Perseus opened the guild system interface and looked through it, walking down the stairs stretching out his arms as he let out a yawn.

He was still extremely tired from running away from Arjuna's hail of foam bullets. Even thinking about how he and Najimi were chased around ruthlessly made his legs ache.

A quick run through the guild interface let Perseus notice a small notification that he hadn't noticed

[the silver wings guild has leveled up to level 2]

[the silver wings guild can now accept commissions and higher-ranked quests]

[guild members gain a +10% defense while in guild territory]

Perseus opened the guild map to see large clusters of green dots near the guild house, with small groups of 5 to 6 spread out in the forest. Perseus could only assume they were some of the younger guild members out hunting or gathering herbs. There was a group of 2 that were traversing deep into the forest most likely Peppers and Uranius. Juno and the rest of the Parthenon guild were in the city along with Jack and his friends.

Perseus wanted to check more in detail on the movements of the guild members. But as he went down the stairs, a loud series of voices greeted him.

"the guild master!"

"master! you're here!"

"our savior!"

"are you hungry?"

Perseus walked down the stairs with a grin as he looked at the large group of people relaxing in the main hall of the guild house. From young guild members to recently freed slaves. They all turned to Perseus with smiles on his face. Even some of the wolves paced into the guildhall and sat next to some of their favorite hoomans, some in hopes of getting some extra snakoes in addition to the large amount of food already given to them.

Persues waved back and looked at the food that everyone was eating. It was grilled fish from the inventory that had been caught by him and some of the younger guild members and some vegetables. The grilled fish was placed onto skewers and gave off a delicious aroma while the vegetables looked fresh and crisp.

Perseus walked down and sat next to one of the young guild members. The guild member offered him a fish skewer with his mouth full.

"master," he said in muffled breaths "take this!"

Perseus let out a light laugh and shook his head pushing back the fish skewer to the young boy.

"no, young one," he said with a smile "that belongs to you..."

Perseus stopped midsentence and leaned forward to the outstretched fish skewer. He gave it a small sniff and his eyes went wide with surprise. It was simply the most delectable smell he had ever smelt from a fish. It gave the aroma of the sea without making it seem too fishy and also carried the richness of the fish itself.

Perseus looked at the young guild member straight in the eye.

"Jason is cooking isn't he"

The young boy nodded again taking another huge bite out of another fish skewer.

Perseus turned around quickly and raised his hand.

"I'll take 10 fish skewers please"

A certain black-haired boy far back in the kitchen perked up his ears and then turned around raising the plate full of fried fish skewers in his hands and handing it to Natalie who was waiting for the finished batch.

Jason let out a huge grin at the prospect of getting more points and quickly returned to cooking more food.

Perseus let out a laugh and sat back on the bench waiting for Natalie to walk over with the plate of fish in her hand.

Once she reached Perseus, she gently placed it down and said to Perseus with a smile.

"your brother cooks exceedingly well, I think he even surpasses mine by a large degree"

Perseus grinned

"yeah, he managed to bring the wolves to our side with that cooking you know"

Natalie let out a surprised expression

"oh really? well, actually I can see that happening" She said casting a glance on the wolves who were wandering around the tables seeking out any hoomans that would dare and toss them the great treasure that was known as the snakoe.

Perseus grinned, but it started to fade out as of nowhere Natalie pulled out a bowl of salad and placed it next to Perseus's dish of fish. She placed it as gently as the fish dish, but to Perseus, it felt like she was slamming down with the strength of a giant monster gorilla.

She turned to Perseusand with a smile said one word to him

"eat"

Perseus raised a trembling finger

"you know, technically since I'm the guild master I can..."

A sudden pressure overcame Perseus and Natalie gave him a look that would haunt him for years.

"okayyy, nevermind," He said grabbing a fork and plunging it into the salad taking a huge mouthful of it.

Natalie let out a satisfied nod and walked away to serve another victu... I mean guild member.

Perseus turned around to see multiple guild members looking at him with sympathy as they too had been caught in the claws of Natalie's neverending chase to get everyone in the guild to eat healthily.

Perseus dug into his food. Even though he didn't necessarily like vegetables, the salad was well seasoned with a light dressing and tasted good.

Now the fish that Jason himself had made, well that was entirely different.

He and Arjuna really needed to get him to make more for them later. He thought to himself as he munched on the tenth fish skewer making sure that he got every available piece of fish meat.

A sudden thought came to Perseus. They were now feeding over a hundred people, would they have enough fish? Perseus's eyes widened as he thought about running out of fish. What would happen if Jason couldn't cook anymore? death. He would rather die.

Perseus made a mental note to bring the guild members on fishing trips much more frequently.

Perseus stood up from the bench while calculating the amount of fish and other foods needed to maintain the status quo so that Jason could continue to make food for them. It was also kinda important since it would keep the rest of the guild members from starving. But Perseus's priority was to make sure that Jason had enough ingredients to make food, everything else was secondary.

The guild members also started to trickle out of the guild hall. Jason, Perseus, and Natalie had already organized the freed slaves, some helped Natalie at the garden, others took care of the kids. Some of the more able-bodied ones decided to go out with Paul and start gathering materials for confusion more buildings for the slaves to stay in or even start training under the tutelage of the Starke couple. The guild house had enough room, but from what Persues was planning they needed much more room.

Some requested to take care of the interior from cleaning up inside, to harvesting the garden with Natalie, while the kids, well, the kids were kids, even now Perseus could see the group of freed slave kids running around with the wolves and other young guild members.

Perseus stepped out of the doors stretching his arms as the sun beamed down on him, his blond hair shining in the sun. He spotted Rocky heading towards the city driving a wagon full of supplies and weapons that Perseus was sending to Jack and his group. Most of the spoils from the slave merchant house were being directed towards Jack's group.

And with the numerous ways that Jack earned money, along with the alliance that they had made with the oldest of the three brothers that they had fought, Perseus's pockets started to get a bit heavy with money.

Perseus had wasn't too sure about how he would spend it, but he was darn sure that he was going to make a profit out of it. An evil grin covered his face as he thought about all of the plans he had in his mind. Though it felt very far in the future before he really did any serious work into it. He was planning to head to the city to at least get the framework done. He was going to the merchant guild to register himself and get a company started.

A greedy laugh echoed from the entrance of the silver wings house. Perseus knew exactly what he could sell. It was something that his brother had plenty of and was something that many players were desperate for. It only cost a few points to transfer a whole batch of them and with the amount of money that they would get from them. Jason and Boops had determined that it was worth it, along with the points that it would most likely give.

Yes, he would sell potions. More specifically the crappy ones that Arjuna didn't need. Though to be honest, any potion that Arjuna made would be extremely valuable to the average player.
