He tried to relax realizing, 'Jezell was right, the young lady makes me feel on edge, but why? Seeing her in the mall for the first time, when she collided into us, it was not planned it was an accident, she seemed to be in a hurry to get somewhere, but why were she smiling even when Jezell was rude by showing her the third finger. No one has ever gotten under my skin like that before and it irritates the hell out of me, then her running in front the car, I know it was not on purpose. I could see she was in pain but why didn’t she say something, someone else might have shouted at me because I was wrong, and why was I so ignorant, I didn’t even know it was her.’

Margret knows Caleb has this woman friend that's always riding in his car. He hasn't said anything to us but I know he is serious about her.

When Jonas said, "I know honey, but I was thinking he could meet this young lady first before we discuss anything about marriage. So I extended a dinner invitation to my friend and his family, it might just be the two of them alone that will be joining us for dinner."

"Are you talking about your friend and his wife Jonas?" Margret asks still concerned about Caleb.

"No Margaret, I am talking about Antonio and his daughter."

"They sound as though they are Spanish?"

Caleb stepped into the library when he heard his dad ask, "Caleb, you are home early son, is it because the rain is falling?"

"Is this some sort of joke dad, when you called me earlier you insisted that I be home for six and that we are having a family meeting so where are the others?"

Noticing the way his dad was looking at the clock, "I suppose you are right, but it seems I have completely forgotten why I asked you to be home early," he then got Margaret's attention by asking, "Honey, can you remind me what I have called Caleb home early to discuss?"

"Jonas, didn't you make a note earlier?"

Caleb looked at his dad first and then his mom, 'Is dad unwell, he has never been so forgetful. Maybe I should take him to visit the doctor and I will talk to Nevil to hear what is going on, but in the meanwhile, I should make an appointment for a complete checkup.'

Noticing his dad opening a folder then said, " Oh yes, I now remember, it's right here in black and white. Caleb, I visited Petal's suitor earlier today and they decided that the wedding will be taking place from the end of October to the beginning of November."

Margret notices the puzzled look on Caleb's face wondering, 'What he was thinking about? He usually doesn't care about serious matters, but hearing about the wedding arrangement for Petal seems to throw him back. Why is that? Or did something happen today that is bothering him?'

Touching his shoulder seeing the way he turns around, 'He seems so deep in thought.' "Caleb, is everything alright son, you look so lost in your thoughts?"

Hearing him ask, "Dad, why so long?"

Hearing his dad saying to him, "Caleb, Petal has already agreed with it, she said she had some important business to attend to so why to make a fuss, we will also have sufficient time to arrange the dowry."

His parents heard him laugh before he said, "Dad, what nonsense? Petal doesn't work, so what business matter she could possibly have, except if she is aborting another child?"

"Shut your mouth Caleb, this is your sister we are talking about," his father shouted at him unable to bear the thought even to hear him accusing his last daughter of sleeping around.
