Fifty Nine

Inside, when Caleb was going to introduce her to the staff Sarahiah stopped him by saying, "I am just a trainee assistant."

Caleb sat in the office where he could overlook the staff, he realized that half of the day had gone, but not once she came up in the office.

When Caleb opened the lunch bag, it only had lunch for him, 'Did she leave to get something to eat?'

Caleb thought as he looked at her, he saw her busy shifting around clothes, dusting and cleaning, and when customers came, she gave them her full undivided attention and got them to purchase an item, then when they left, she got back to her rearranging. Caleb was unable to believe she had gathered so much rubbish.

When a knock came, Caleb thought it was Sarahiah so he looked up only to see the store supervisor who came with the bills.

Caleb rested the files aside and calculated the bills, he placed each clerk bill aside. Sarahiah had sold the most, 'Is that why our sales are so low? The clerks just stand around when customers enter, as they just stand and wait to be called.'

Caleb looked at Sarahiah and how she went to them, 'How is it she keeps cleaning, and still know when a customer enters the store?'

Caleb observed how Sarahiah rearranged the clothes, but while she did her eyes keep glancing at the entrance and through the lanes. 'She has a knack for this, and she speaks nicely with the customers.'

Caleb observed when it was almost closing time that she slipped her head piece on and was speaking to someone. 'Our plans have change, I did as she said and ask the assistant manager from my store to send the files and to deposit the cash before the bank close.'

Caleb saw the sloppy work his mom was doing, so he had to go through all the files and fix it. He also noticed that the supervisor had jot down that the trainee had taken twenty dollars when she dropped off the last set of invoices.

When Caleb locked up the store, the courier was waiting with his files and he noticed Sarahiah was holding two files and a bag from the bakery, 'Is that why she took the twenty dollars?'

Caleb opened the van and noticed she smiled as she sat down, 'I haven't seen her eat or take a break the entire day. Maybe she bought bread for our dinner, well, seeing how she was on her feet the entire day, I don't expect her to go and cook dinner, that will be very unfair',

When Sarahiah slipped on her headpiece and started her conversation she ignored him as though he wasn't even there.

Caleb parked in the garage, she came out and waited on him to open the front door, then as he stood aside, she walked in, they didn't have any conversation, 'That was my plan anyhow,' Caleb thought.

Sarahiah just rested her files on the living room center table with her laptop and went with the bag from the bakery in the kitchen as she was still discussing her work with her boss.
