Sixty

Caleb went to the library, he tried to relax as he felt tired, but a thought crossed his mind, 'She had been moving from the time we enter to the store, I wonder what she is doing.'

Caleb went to the kitchen where he saw some pasta boiling in a pot, and in another pot were four eggs and two irish potato. On top the counter was a container with seasoned chicken. He took a glass of juice then returned outside, but her things wasn't where she left it earlier. 'Maybe she went up to change before soiling her suit.'

In the room Caleb saw the laundry basket wasn't there, and neither was her. Caleb relaxed on the bed for half an hour, then went and shower.

He returned to the kitchen, she was busy with her work and the chicken was cooking. 'Maybe this is what her routine is, doing her own thing,' he thought as he watched her.

Caleb left her to her task as he went and began working. In the study he went through the day sales where he saw a boost in the recording book.

He lost track of time and it was only when he heard the nine bangs he sprang up, 'Dear God, she must be waiting for me to eat dinner.'

Caleb hurried to the kitchen but he saw all the utensils were washed and put aside, the counter was clean, and there was only his meal set in a tray.

Sarahiah had steamed carrots, mixed with the potato, eggs and pasta, and some fresh seasoning mixed in together.

In a small bowl at the side, it had stew chicken and in another, it had the lettuce and cucumbers from the day before.

'She must have eaten already,' he thought as he took the tray where she sat in the kitchen and eat, he washed his dishes and then went to his room.

Sarahiah wasn't asleep in the room so he checked in the washroom, she wasn't there, then in the laundry room but there only her few pieces of clothing that was hanging in a line and he wondered, 'Who tie a line?'

Caleb noticed his clothes was fold and resting in the basket, he then saw one of the room doors among the rooms downstairs was half open and a light was on, so` he entered.

Sarahiah was asleep on the bed and her laptop was pushed aside and so was the files while her feet was on top the bedhead with a pillow under it.

Caleb pulled the door close and then went to his room, he knew she was tired but yet he delayed. He so wanted to avoid any conversation with her, now the day was done and he got what he wanted.

The entire week they worked in store two, Sarahiah had worked none stop and Caleb's lunch was always packed but only for him. Sarahiah never joined him for lunch and all he saw her drinking was a milkshake, but a few times he saw her slipped out of the store but never said anything.

The sales had boost up, and the store smelled wonderful.
