Sixty Five

"Yes,"

Caleb listened to him saying that a cheque she had written to a salesman had bounced, as he continued to talk Caleb realized that he was hinting him of his feelings for her. Caleb did not respond to him when the phone cut off, 'Was it because she was helping me she didn't deposit and the cheque bounced?'

Caleb went to the garage thinking she was getting something she bought but he saw a security van at the front that collected cash and she was speaking with them, 'I didn't know they do private transactions? I thought they only deal with business places.'

Caleb returned inside so she won't know that he saw her, 'I had no idea that they work on Sundays. I does all my transaction in the bank.' Caleb closed the library door and stood by the window looking at her.

When Sarahiah shook their hands after she took the receipt for her transaction they left and she closed the gate. That is when his phone ring and he saw it was Jezell.

Caleb answered, "I am sorry but tomorrow I am going on a short trip so lunch is out of the question... Sorry Jezell, I like this idea of meeting new people. In fact I got a new friendt... I didn't expect this break up will be this good, I thank you and now I know if we had eloped it would have been a bad omen on my family... I will see you... Maybe in the next two weeks we could meet... Bye Jezell."

Caleb opened his briefcase and saw that the insides were flaking out, he dust the cloth to one corner then began working. 'The way things have boost up in the store I will get my money that I put into the company in less than two months.'

Caleb yawned a few times, 'I should take a rest,' he thought and then dipped his head in the kitchen, she wasn't in there, he did the same in the room she had been using but it was empty.

Caleb went to his room and that is where he saw the box and bag by the bed foot, the bag felt empty, he then thought, 'Now Mitch don't have to worry about the money, it is safe and secure and I could rest in peace.'

Caleb heard the clock bang four times, 'That can't be right,' he thought as he looked at his watch and saw four o'clock, 'Oh God, she must be waiting for me to have lunch.'

Caleb heard the van drive up, 'Oh no, no, no. I must speak with her to return to my room,' he thought as he straightened the bed then hurriedly take a shower. He dressed quickly and hurried down the stairs and was only hoping to convince her to return to his room.

'I thought we will get to know each other when mom and the others agreed to go on the trp, but we hardly spoke with each other and from the second day she ignored me. We only said good morning and then she would slip that head piece on and start transacting her business. Please Lord help me.'
