“Then kindly check and see if she has fainted or something, the length of time women takes to change.” 
“Sir, you don’t understand, the young lady left almost ten minutes ago.” 
“Was she badly hurt?” 

He tried to relax realizing, 'Jezell was right, the young lady makes me feel on edge, but why? Seeing her in the mall for the first time, when she collided into us, it was not planned it was an accident, she seemed to be in a hurry to get somewhere, but why were she smiling even when Jezell was rude by showing her the third finger. No one has ever gotten under my skin like that before and it irritates the hell out of me, then her running in front the car, I know it was not on purpose. I could see she was in pain but why didn’t she say something, someone else might have shouted at me because I was wrong, and why was I so ignorant, I didn’t even know it was her.’

Caleb seemed to be lost in thought, that is when his mother said, "Caleb son, will you tell my daughter in law thanks for this delicious meal and once again thanks for thinking about us and sending us on vacation."

"I heard you mom, it is alright. Did you all have a good time?"

"We had a great tiem son, it was just what your dad needed."

In the kitchen Aunty Zelda was yawning and saying, "I am so tired, I could sleep for a week."

"Then why don't you go and rest and I will clean up."

"Why would I? I have been resting the entire day."

Aunty Zelda looked at Caleb and asked, "Son,di the Mistress make all this preparations herself? She saw Caleb went to the fridge and then turned around, "Son what is wrong?"

"I don't think it have any food for her when she returns. I should fix something for her," Caleb said but then he heard a person clearing their throat, "Sarahiah I didn't hear you come back."

"I know, but don't bother about me, I am full. If you don't mind I will go and lie down," Sarahiah said.

'Now they will all know we are not sleeping together, how am I going to explain that to them and speak with her when they are around?' he thought and then silently prayed, "Dear Father and God, please help me."

As Sarahiah turned Aunty Zelda said, "Mistress, thanks for fixing dinner for us."

"That's okay. Now why don't you go and take a rest, you look tired."

Caleb saw Aunty Zelda walk out the kitchen and head towards her room, he followed Sarahiah and heard her whisper, "Oh God, I am so hungry. How is it they could eat all the food and forget about me?"

Caleb felt hurt and went to her, "Sarahiah let me take you out for dinner or someplace of your choice?"

Caleb turned her to face him, "Will you stop lying? I heard you say you are hungry."

"Look I will drink some milk and go rest."

Caleb shook her shoulder and said, "Why do you have to be so stubborn and make me angry?" He felt this rage and he released his hold on her shoulder to leave the room but she miss balanced and was falling.

Caleb felt something touching him so he turned and caught her before she fell to the ground. "Sarahiah honey are you alright?"

Caleb saw how white her face was, "Oh God, what have I done? Not again," he said as he rubbed her face then ran into the kitchen and got a carton of milk and a glass.

Caleb held her head up and said, "Please open your eyes, I beg you. I am so sorry."

Caleb heard a knock on the door, 'Dear God, I thought they have already gone to their room,' that is when he heard his dad call, "Caleb are you in there son?"
