Chapter 23 She Will Be Mine Sooner or Later (Part 7)

After more than two years of running as an extra, she had learned a bit of acting.

Ji Chicheng lowered his eyes, glanced at the hand that Ji Anning was grasping, and a trace of a smile flashed through the depths of his dark pupils, uncontrollable.

The originally taut handsome face also relaxed slightly.

But his voice was still cold, "Grandpa will be happy, the Ji Family is about to have a big star."

"I really know I'm wrong." Ji Anning didn't care about Ji Chicheng's mocking, all she was thinking about now was how to shut him up, apologizing while crying her eyes out.

Although she knew that seeking sympathy in front of the proud and arrogant third son of the Ji Family was ridiculous.

But now, aside from seeking sympathy, she was out of options.

"Crying for what?" Ji Chicheng frowned, looking at Ji Anning's tear-streaked little face with rain-like tears.

So pitiful and lovely.

His other hand, tucked in his pocket, trembled lightly.

Yet in the end, it relaxed again obediently.

Ji Anning's crying became more and more convincing, her voice choking, "Uncle, you're magnanimous, don't tell Grandpa, don't tell my mom."

Ji Chicheng revealed helplessness in his eyes, he frowned, "Do I look like someone with nothing better to do?"

Did he mean he didn't plan to tattle in the first place? Ji Anning's eyes brightened, as if reborn, she lifted her tear-stained face, looking at Ji Chicheng with excited gratitude, "Thank you, Uncle."

She let go of Ji Chicheng's hand and wiped away her tears with the back of her hand in a rough manner.

Her makeup had smeared from crying, and with her wiping, she looked like a calico cat.

In the depths of Ji Chicheng's eyes, amusement flickered. He pocketed his hands in his suit trousers again and stood there, eyes lowered, silently watching Ji Anning.

A leisurely sea breeze, carrying the freshness of the ocean, came wafting by, gently brushing the girl's long hair and lifting the hem of her skirt.

It tenderly swept over the man's heart, stirring his heartstrings.

The tense atmosphere finally relaxed and eased. Qi Helian looked at Ji Chicheng, his brow furrowed slightly, eyes squinting skeptically.

After observing for a while, he instructed his female assistant, "Minnie, take Miss Ji to the car to wash up and change clothes."

"Yes." Minnie nodded, then looked at Ji Anning with a faint smile, "Miss Ji, please come with me."

"No need..."

Ji Anning waved her hand, wanting to refuse, but before she could finish speaking, she was interrupted by the man beside her.

"Go wash your face."

It was almost a command, and after he said it, he bent down and sat back down in the chair beside Qi Helian.

With Ji Chicheng speaking, Ji Anning dared not rebut and could only nod, "Oh."

Under the guidance of the Mickey assistant, Ji Anning got into Qi Helian's luxurious motorhome.

"Never thought that this little girl is Jingfeng's wife, no wonder she avoided me when she saw me just now."

Qi Helian watched Ji Anning's retreating figure, shook his head with a smile. He reached for a beverage and casually took a sip, continuing, "Never mind."

After finishing, he looked at Ji Chicheng with a probing gaze.

Ji Chicheng's handsome face instantly darkened, like the bottom of a pot; he shifted his gaze away from the motorhome and looked coldly at Qi Helian, "Qi Helian, perhaps we should skip dinner."

Qi Helian ignored Ji Chicheng's comment, still looking in the direction of his motorhome, and spoke leisurely, "That girl was quite pretty when she was young, what a shame she's already taken."

As he spoke, he cast another sidelong glance at Ji Chicheng.

Ji Chicheng's lips curved coldly, "She'll be mine sooner or later."
