Chapter 24 She Will Be Mine Sooner or Later (Part 8)

The tone was resolute, carrying royal-like dominance that made one dare not question.

Qi Helian's action of drinking his beverage came to an abrupt halt, and he stared at Ji Chicheng with wide eyes. "Ji Chicheng!"

That call was a warning, a reminder.

Even though he had picked up a signal from the way he had looked at Ji Anning just now and had his suspicions, Ji Chicheng's blatant revelation of his "wolfish ambitions" right in front of him still shocked him.

Ji Chicheng, unruffled, withdrew his gaze, his calm expression making Qi Helian's fingers itch in annoyance. "Ji Chicheng, such a treacherous heart should be condemned."

Ji Chicheng still looked at him with a face of calm.

Qi Helian pointed at him, "That is your..."

Thinking of something, he looked around and then lowered his voice to continue, "That is your nephew's wife, your own nephew's wife."

"Hmph," Ji Chicheng snorted disdainfully, his sinister dark pupils looking into the distance, where the light gradually coalesced into tiny shards of ice.

A chilling aura radiated from him, instilling fear in others.

Qi Helian knew him too well, he didn't easily reveal his thoughts, but once exposed, it meant he was ready to make his move, clutching a hundred percent certainty of success.

Therefore, what he needed to do now wasn't to persuade him to turn back but to help him... make a mistake.

He didn't know if it was right or wrong.

Ji Anning had Minnie bring her own clothing, a clean white T-shirt. To cover the hickeys on her chest, she specifically chose one with a round collar that went above the clavicle.

Getting out of the car, she walked and adjusted her hair. It had been badly torn in many places and, after being soaked in the sea, it was still a mess despite being detangled.

Ji Chicheng watched her approach, calmly looking away.

"Why didn't you wash Miss Ji's hair?"

As Ji Anning and the others approached, Qi Helian frowned and asked his assistant Minnie.

Minnie pursed her lips, a look of pity on her face, "Ah, she lost a lot of hair. The right side of her scalp is swollen, so it's best not to get it wet today."

On hearing this, Ji Chicheng's hands resting on his legs tightened suddenly, his sinister dark eyes emitting dangerous glimmers.

Qi Helian instinctively glanced at Ji Chicheng, noting his reaction, and then calmly instructed his agent next to him, "Mickey, go tell Director Wang that today's shoot is off."

Ji Anning didn't concern herself with whether Qi Helian was shooting or not, nor did she take the blame onto herself.

Right now, she just wanted to leave as quickly as possible since this was Qi Helian's territory. Being with him was too conspicuous; if paparazzi caught them, her stand-in job would be exposed, even if Ji Chicheng didn't talk, her family would find out.

With that thought in mind, she approached Ji Chicheng, her face displaying a pleasing smile, "Uncle, I'll be leaving first then."

Ji Chicheng cast his eyes down, his demeanor as indifferent as ever. Ji Anning didn't wait for a response and turned to leave.

Seeing that Ji Anning was about to leave, Qi Helian instinctively glanced at Ji Chicheng; he was still nonchalant.

What an act!

Master Qi cursed Master Ji in his heart and looked up to find Ji Anning already far away, so he quickly called out, "Mrs. Jingfeng, wait a moment."

Yes, he did it on purpose.

After calling out, he did not look at Ji Chicheng's face; he didn't need to, as he could imagine his angry reaction.

Hmph, that's for being so high and mighty, haughty, and secretly villainous.

Ji Anning, though reluctant on hearing Qi Helian calling her, stopped out of politeness and turned with a puzzled look, "Is there something you need, Mr. Qi?"
