An expected result

Meanwhile, Francis was coming out of a meeting with the nobles, and went toward his office because of the mountains of work that was waiting for him. He thougth about how Sebastian was doing his investigation and asked Val who is the man with the scar and the head of the knights,

"Did you see Sebastian?"

"No, but the last time I saw him, he said that he was going to meet the lady."

"I see...what about that stupid count Silvio, after the attemps he plotted against me, did he show himself in Oasius?"

"Yes, Sir Alphonse send us another report about that, we are still following him to find out about his other accomplices."

"He still think that I dissapeared?"

"Yes, that seem to be the case but he still didn't go to any nobles's house."

"Heh! The bastard's cautious, he should have prepared his plans better instead of getting scared now..."

"Well, it is to our advantages if they are dumb, if not you would have been in trouble your majesty."

"Ha ha! Val do you take me for a weakling? dumb or not I would have crushed them either way."

"I would never take you for a weakling your majesty since you are the strongest opponent in the empire. But still, you should take in consideration your enemies's cowardly moves too, like the one recently from which you could have died, if it wasn't for the help of lady Eleanor."

"Yes, yes I get it, no need to make me remember that, in any cas be sure to find out about his accomplices and be extremely careful with this case. We need to finish this quietly and quickly."

"I understand, I will do as you ordered your majesty..." As Val was talking, someone knock on the door and before given the permission the butler barged inside, Val got angry and said,

"Hey, where is your manner, doing this in from of the emperor, are you out of your mind?"

The butler, who is about the same age as Val and Sebastian is from a noble family that serves the imperial family since decade. He bowed and said,

"I am really sorry about this, but it is urgent your majesty, miss Eleanor was in the terrace garden with Sir Sebastian and she suddenly fainted..."

Val got mad and thought 'Is this his reason to barge in like that and interrupt his majesty's work? I can't ensure his safety knowing that Francis will get extremely angry. Since he work under his majesty as long as I can remember, he is supposed to know what make him angry by now.' Then, he reprimanded him and said,

"Why bother his highness just...." Before he could finish Francis pushed his heavy chair as he suddenly stand up and said,

"What?! How did that happen?Where is she now?"

"We don't know what exactly happened, but we called for the imperial doctor immediately, now she is lying in her chamber." Said the butler while his hand slightly trembled at the sight of his majesty looking at him with a pair of infuriated red eyes.

Francis quickly left his office in a hurry to go toward Eleanor's room followed by his butler and Val who had a confused expression on his face, and was wondering about what just happened. He thought 'It is the first time that I see him getting so worked up over a woman and what is more it a woman he just meet.'

They quickly got to the third floor and went inside her room, there was Cain, Sebastian and a maid. Francis ignored the others that were bowing at his presence, and looked toward where Eleanor was lying, with light step he approached her. He touched her forehead, she had a high fever, then while still looking at her he asked Cain,

"What happened to her? how is she doing?"

"She seem to have reacted to the magical stone, some people are sensitive to some magical stuff, in her case it is quite rare but her body immediately reacted the stone. I gave her a fever reducer, so she just need to rest and she will be fine."

"Magical stone?!"

"Ah, yes that is what Sebastian was using, It is a useful stone that push people to tell the true."

"I see....Then Cain take care of her. Sebastian, follow me."

"Very well." Said Cain and Sebastian with a worried face went out of the room with Francis and Val.
