All In Vain

Eyes deep all glazed over

Something in her eyes, you don't remember

It wasn't there before

But now her heart is torn

Broken in pieces nothing anyone can do her heart is too worn

No one can save her from the pain she feels

And all the words that used to make her feel better

Now mean nothing, the knife has already severed

Her once full heart is now dark and empty

You don't have to say a word, there are plenty

Floating around in her head

Voices that make her wish she were dead.

But she's scared, she doesn't want to let anyone down

The promises she's made are just echoes now

She doesn't want anyone else to hurt

But she doesn't want to feel the pain

All the sorrow taken from the earth

One day she won't wake up, and this poem would be in vain
