Big brain time.

"Oh, you're in luck. The potion of [resurrection] ran out." I killed her countless times during the five-minute duration of the potion, but I don't want to finish her off just yet.

"What should we do with her? I mean, letting her stay in my inventory would be a waste." I asked Blood.

"You're right. How about you sign a contract with her? She can do all the laborious work for us, or maybe just watch our property while we're away." A contract to make her follow all our instructions, huh. That sounds pretty useful.

"Queen bee, how about it? The contract rules will be simple. I'll keep you alive and protect you in case you're ever in danger, while you follow all my commands." I turned towards the Queen bee.

"Ah? Yes." She had a dead look in her eyes, and I get why. Anyone would feel empty after experiencing death so many times in just five minutes.

"River, is it safe for you to offer a contract? After all, you might die one year early." Blood worried about me. That's a change of character.

I guess we did become good friends after this much time together, so it's understandable.

"I've grown strong enough for my time of death to be unpredictable, so I'm safe from him." I assured the goat head and looked at the Queen bee again.

"I, River.. Uhh, I don't have a second name. Ah, whatever. I River, offer.. What are you called anyway?" I forgot an important part of signing a contract. Both sides need to know each other's names for this to be possible.

"Tetra Naria." She replied in an emotionless voice.

Sheesh, she sounds just like Lime. That reminds me, I should free Lime once I get back to the surface, though she might have already left since I was away for so long.

"Alright, let's try this again. I, River, offer Tetra Naria a contract." A sheet of paper poofed into existence in front of me.

I wrote down the rules of the contract and handed it to Tetra.

"I, Tetra Naria, accept the contract offer." Both mine and her name appeared on the sheet.

"What now?" I scratched my head. The contact was ready, but nothing happened.

"Just tear the sheet of paper in half. Don't worry if it's not a perfect tear, it just hast to be ripped into two pieces." I don't know why Blood knows so much about contracts, but I'm not complaining.

Having torn the piece of paper right down the middle, the paper vanished and a notification popped up.

[The contract is now in place]

The following is the punishment for failing to follow the rules:

1. All experience/levels removed.

2. All titles removed.

3. All abilities removed.

4. All stats removed.

5. Unable to get experience.

6. Unable to get titles.

7. Unable to get abilities.

8. Unable to get stats.

Hah, that's harsh. Oh well, my part of the contract is easy; I just wrote "I will not permanently kill Tetra Naria.", whereas for her I wrote a bunch of different rules, just to make sure she doesn't end up doing something I didn't intend her to do.

Also, I specified that I won't "permanently" kill her, which just means that if I ever do end up killing her, I need to revive her as at some point. It's very one-sided, sure, but I don't feel bad for doing it.

After all, she was the one who killed my biggest source of information about the Dump, the Floor 10 boss.

No matter what, I still wouldn't get any experience from him, since the level gap would surely be quite large. The experience only gets multiplied if he has more levels than me, otherwise, humans just give a sorry 100 experience points.

"Ahh, now that's that over, I'm gonna grab some honey." I opened up my inventory and started filling it up with honey. I wanted around 3 tonnes of it, just in case, but halfway through I suddenly felt a sharp pain in my lungs.

"*Cough*. Blood, did you do that?" I coughed out some blood.

"No, why would I?" This could be bad. I looked at my status bracelet to check if my health went down by a lot or not, but I was rather surprised to see a new message.

[The human body is too weak to support your stats. Evolution is required in order to avoid fatal symptoms.]

Whoa. What are my stats, then?

There were three options for evolution. I needed to choose fast, or I might just end up dead.
