You two are here today because of Grandpa Lun

Merry chatters could be heard from the outside of a VIP reservation room. The manager guided Jason and Selina into the reserved room. As they entered, the liveliness in the room only grew louder.

"Oh! Jason, you've grown up to be such a successful young man. The beautiful lady next to you must be Selina, Rosanna's daughter. Your parents showed me so many pictures of you two. Such a great match! Hahahaha!" Grandpa Lun complimented the couple the second they stepped into the room.

Hearing his words made Selina feel shy. Her cheeks heated up as she gave Jason a hinting look. smiling, Jason wrapped his arm around her waist and brought her to Grandpa Lun. "Grandpa Lun, long time no see. Even though you've already guessed who she is, I will still properly introduce her to you. She is my dear wife, Selina Clover. Selina, this is Grandpa Lun."

"Hello, Grandpa Lun. Thank you for your compliments earlier." Facing the elderly's blissful smile, she felt more relaxed than before. Grandpa Lun urged them to take their seats as everyone continued catching up with one another.

"Oh, right. Isaac! What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be with Kyla at the hospital right now?" Selina spotted Isaac sitting across the table.

"Ahahaha! Talk about coincidences!" Grandpa Lun excitedly slapped his knee. "I recently made friends with Isaac while being on an overseas trip. I couldn't believe that this friendship would promote me into being the future god great grandfather of him and Kyla's future baby! I am so excited."

"Right?! We were all shocked when Isaac came with Grandpa Lun. It's amazing how small this world is. Grandpa Lun really is our lucky charm. Selina. Michael. If it wasn't for Grandpa Lun, you two probably wouldn't be here today. If not for Grandpa Lun, I wouldn't have met your father." Rosanna hooked her arm lovingly around Eric's arm.

"Hahaha, true. Time really passes by too quickly. I can't believe it's been over twenty years since I've traveled back here. I am old and weak now. you see, Grandma Lun also left me recently. Soon, it will be my turn." Grandpa Lun sighed with thoughts about his wife.

"Oh...I am so sorry for your loss. My deepest condolences. If you need any help, just tell us and we will try our best to do what you need us to do." Rosanna frowned upon hearing such sad news.

She was wondering where Grandma Lun was this entire time. However, she recalled how poor Grandma Lun's health became after the couple lost their child and grandchildren a little over twenty years ago from a car collision. Therefore, she assumed she was resting.

"It is fine. It happens. Like how my son, daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren died twenty-plus years ago. I've already accepted life and death. My wife spent a lot of time with me already and every day was a blessing to me. She passed away peacefully and that's what matters the most. Now, I have something to look forward to. I have my god great-grandchildren and additional family members." Grandpa Lun patted Rosanna's hand when he comforted her.

"Yes. Not only that, we might have good news soon coming from Selina too. By then, you will have many buns to hold in your arms. You will hear many cries to keep you busy." Rosanna nodded, holding in the tears from falling out of her eyes.

Hearing her mother's words, Selina nearly choked from the tea she was drinking. Fortunately, she didn't spit it out in front of everyone. As soon as she calmed herself, she heard Jason's whisper to her ears. "My mother-in-law has a point. Soon, we will have our own children too."

"Let's test our luck then." Selina winked in response to his provocation.

As the dinner reunion continued, the manager directed waiters to serve dishes in specific orders. After every dish was served, the staff exited the room.

"By the way, how long are you planning to stay this time?" Jason asked Grandpa Lun as he placed fish onto Selina's plate.

"Hmm. I am not sure. I am sure my sudden appearance might have already been exposed to my enemy. I want to stay until I see my god great-grandchildren though. However, it is a huge risk if I decide to stay this long." Grandpa Lun let out a helpless sigh when he realized he never thought about his stay.

"Enemy?" Selina looked up from her plate when she heard Grandpa Lun's remark.

"Yes. The reason why my wife and I moved overseas was because of my family's accident. However, there is more to that. I realized somebody was hiding in the dark, deliberately causing trouble for my business at that time. I narrowed it down to a few possible people, but I have no evidence against them. So, I decided to leave with my wife where it is safer overseas. I've been investigating my family's incident for many years, but there isn't much to suspect about that incident."

Grandpa Lun released another sigh as he sipped his tea. When he mentioned the possible culprits to his family's tragic accident, Rosanna subconsciously tightened her hand on Eric's arm. Feeling her tension, Eric wrapped his arm around her shoulder and rubbed her arm gently. He whispered, "it's okay. Everything is okay."

"I'm sorry, Grandpa Lun." Rosanna whispered to the elderly man next to her.

"Silly girl, what is there to apologize for? It is not your fault my family died. But I do hope the person behind all this is not the same person I have on my mind. The possibility of him being the culprit is dangerously high, but I don't want to think it is him. However, he did commit terrible things against you two as well. If not, you two wouldn't separate from your children. Fortunately, Selina and Michael are both safe and alive."

Grandpa Lun smiled bitterly as he glanced at Michael and Selina. 'Luckily, you two are safe and sound.'
