A week later an amphibious alien called an Ohnes attacked us when Daniel wrote it a message in the sand. I shielded Sam and Daniel before dropping the Ohnes on his ass with a stun shot from my magnum. I told it to explain or I'd terminate it. The click on my gun indicated it was set on kill.
It spoke slow saying they were stunned and he needed answers on his mate that went to earth. I asked her name and found it was Omoroca. When I a hologram popped up in my hand of the text, I told it. " Omoroca as killed by the goa'uld Belus for trying to lead a rebellion on earth from what texts indicate it was over five thousand years ago."
The Ohnes cried and I apologized for his loss, telling him earth likely learned from stories of her and rebelled over three thousand years ago, burying the gate and causing the goa'uld to abandon earth which led to their advancements as a society and people now. He gestured to Teal'c and I told him. "Teal'c betrayed the goa'uld, likely inspired by Omoroca as well by her very act of rebellion showing the goa'uld are not gods. Your mate has brought hope to the entire galaxy. I know it isn't much, but I guarantee the goa'uld will be exterminated and their home worlds burned so that no more can spawn. This is the legacy of Omoroca and her revenge on the goa'uld."
I put my weapon away and offered him my hand, helping him up. "Earth and this galaxy owes your mate a debt they do not comprehend yet, but I swear to you her name will be honored as the true start of this final war against the goa'uld. It is little comfort, I'm aware, but it's all I can offer you."
He breathed heavily before saying slowly. "It is enough."
I nodded slowly. "It'll have to be for now."
I zapped Jack and Teal'c awake before we left. Jack asked why we didn't offer an alliance and I told him as we reached the gate. "He was a freshly broken man who'd lost all hope. He wouldn't agree and even if he did we wouldn't be able to trust him not to become suicidal. From what I could read his people live for hundreds of thousands of years and mate just once. He's staring down the barrel of eternity alone with no hope of ever knowing love again. He waited five thousand years with hope in his heart, that alone should tell you all you need to know about the state of his mind right now."
Jack grimaced and Daniel asked. "What about the others there may be."
I looked back to the waters and sighed. "The ocean floor is their home. We'll send a delegation with a wide range frequency communicator to contact them later. That one won't last long regardless. I've a feeling I've been where he's at. His thoughts and emotions, he'll be dead within the week or kill anyone that tries to stop him. You can't imagine the pain of such a connection, such love lasting empires that is snuffed out for all time."
I turned to Daniel. "Not even you Daniel. Only the long lived and immortals can comprehend that sort of pain."
I looked to Sam with a weak smile. "Or those who've felt it and shared themselves on a level normal humans cannot comprehend."
She smiled sadly and I dialed out. I debriefed them on what happened, who the Oannes were and why Omoroca was so important a figure to earth despite them not understanding why. I told them how the goa'uld failed to take the Oannes home-world and the goa'uld Belus was punished by Ra for it before he killed Omoroca. I finished telling them how they should approach the Oannes before wishing General Hammond luck with that.
Weeks later Hathor took over the base and her pheromones were fought off by Lantean side. I freed Sam and the ladies before giving Sam a kiss when she tried to seduce me before saying. "I'm not under her control Sam."
She relaxed and so did the females in the room. I pulled back and handed Sam my watch. "I can't get near her without getting whammied again and it took half an hour to fight off last time. I don't want you hurt so be careful."
She smiled before asking how to control it. I took off the clip and put it to her temple. She flinched and I apologized before telling her to think and it would react. The suit covered her firmly and I told her we were definitely role playing later.
She hushed me before telling me to knock out the males not near her. I moved fast and a lot of people were stunned. I only had one gun because she took the other but it was enough. I did get shot a few times but that was alright.
Still, Hathor escaped and her Sarcophagus was blown to shit. Luckily I'd scanned it and had it on file which made General Hammond relax a bit when I promised to study it and make it safe for human uses as a medical bed or something. Weeks later I was on Hanka Aka planet PX8-987 with the team when we came across a diseased body. I immediately had the suit cover Sam while I went without.
I had the suit scan for viruses and diseased pathogens finding it was a bio weapon of goa'uld design. It detected one life-form a young girl named Cassandra who wasn't infected. The suit came off Sam once it spoke in a Janus like voice. "The planet is clean, don't touch the bodies but a small humanoid female is hiding in the bushes boss."
The suit came off Sam who gave me a flustered look. It went invisible and went to the girl before bringing her out carefully inside it. The suit had shrunken and removed the particulates and serum the goa'uld Nirrti had injected her with, removing the retrovirus as well before telling me. "She clean of goa'uld chemical changes including a human growth bomb that would've blown up once triggered near a stargate and a retrovirus that would've rewritten her DNA upon maturity to that of an advanced humanoid. It seems the goa'uld Nirrti is involved because her mother ship is nearby monitoring us."
I told the suit. "Keep the girl safe inside. We'll take her to earth now that the particulates are removed. I'll return later cloaked to raid the lab showing up on scans if Nirrti doesn't blow up the planet to hide what it's doing here."
Jack agreed and we headed to the gate before leaving unmolested. Jack asked what they were waiting for and I told him. "The suit was being scanned for Cassandra here and it was giving off the same scans it had taken of her so they didn't attack. They think we fell for their trap and that the gate will soon blow up on our end."
General Hammond asked. "But it won't right?"
I shook my head. "The suit removed the harmful particulates and the retrovirus hidden in her DNA. She's a perfectly healthy girl for her age albeit stressed after seeing everyone she knows dead now."
General Hammond asked. "And the lab?"
I sighed. "I'll head back now and grab everything I can find. Whatever Nirrti was doing on that planet it really didn't want anyone finding out."
General Hammond told me to hurry back because he didn't like the idea of the unknown and what could happen between now and then. I took my suit and headed out, bringing back a goa'uld hand healing device, a glove and a tablet alongside a bunch of samples. Everything that wasn't nailed down including the ring transporters and everything. I showed them a Pym shrinking device and grew the stuff in a crate back to normal size.
Sam said that defies the laws of physics and I smiled before she rolled her eyes. "I know, the laws of physics as I know them."
Daniel did his way smarter thing and I ignored it, telling them. "I don't read goa'uld but it seems to be some form of human genetics and mutations lab from first glance. The scans indicated the samples were from hundreds of individuals taken over long periods of time like the Argos test only slower and without nanites. I believe they're trying to evolve their possible hosts into the next stage of human evolution, the step the ancients and I took long ago."
Dr.Janet Fraiser said she'd have to go over the results after Daniel and Teal'c translates them, but I may be right if the sample of the retrovirus my suit left her was anything to go by. She said it would take time to study it all to know more. In the end it was out of my hands because I wasn't interested in genetic alterations anymore.
