Ch.102

On planet P3X-1279, Chartago, Teal'c was temporarily captured by the locals that wanted him to face a screwed up justice for war crimes he committed as First Prime of Apophis. Jack asked if I could bust Teal'c out if I had to and I nodded, but Teal'c refused. In the end we had to fight Jaffa that came to round up the people. My guns made quick work of the ones outside while Teal'c saved a bunch of people inside, even the man who wanted him dead.

He was released and I dragged the captured unconscious Jaffa to the gate to be interrogated at the SGC. One was the new second prime of Apophis so there was bound to be intel. I took the weapons and armor of the dead Jaffa and took them as well to the SGC on a cart the Bysra people lent me for ensuring none of them were injured outside. I'd even used my suit's nanites to heal those injured inside and those just sick.

I brought the wagon back and thanked them later that day before sitting in on the interrogation of the Second Prime, Shak'l. General Hammond asked if I could get into his head and find out everything he knows. I grimaced and warned him. "It won't be pleasant for either of us, but I can. Though the process will leave him brain dead if he resists too much. Are you sure you want to go down this path General Hammond?"

He grimaced as well before Teal'c spoke. "There is no physical torture that would reprise the information we need except the slow and painful death he would undergo if we remove his symbiote. Jaffa are taught to resist all forms of torture both physical and mental."

General Hammond turned to me. "How sure are you that you can get what we need from him?"

I sighed. "It's not a question of what I can get General, it's a question of whether I should or not. I can get every memory he has from his first steps to the moment Teal'c nearly killed him. The problem is whether I should. You may not know this, but mental abilities are personal when it connects two minds. Usually I only use them to read intentions and surface thoughts unless they're a threat because it's akin to mind rape if I dig to deep. To know with absolute certainty that they're helpless and to take all that they are, it's not pleasant."

General Hammond weighed his options while Sam asked. "Have you done it before?"

I winced. "Only once on someone without permission. It was a wraith and no, I'll not be describing what I learned. Their minds are naturally stronger than Lanteans, but my own unique mental strength is more savage and primal. They can't block it and they can't overcome it, nothing I've ever faced can."

I turned to General Hammond. "If you ask this of me, I'll know more about him than any other including himself. It will take time to strip the memories of emotions and they'll be a vomiting factor. Violating someone's mind, the core of their being, it's a crime against humanity and why I call wraiths predators, not humans or former humans. They're beyond saving and enjoy doing such actions to feel with absolute certainty the terror they bring out in their prey."

General Hammond sighed. "I don't think that'll be necessary just yet then."

I nodded slowly. "Just know that if it comes to that, I won't blame you. You weigh the safety of billions against the mind of an enemy unrepentant. I just wanted you to know that there's a price to such things so you don't take it lightly."

He nodded and thanked me before we were dismissed. I worked on the medical bed and an extendable shrinking hover pallet using propulsion and Pym technologies. It was solar powered and entirely functional so when we got to Tollana, the Tollan home world, three weeks later, it was put to use. We got all the Tollans out, dead or alive and the new medical bed was able to revive the briefly dead.

Omac, the leader of the Tollans, asked about the medical bed and General Hammond directed him to me. I raised an eyebrow and he asked if I made it. I shrugged. "The technology was based on the Goa'uld sarcophagus technology which was based on ancient technology. I may not be an expert in the medical field but I know my ancient technology so I was able to adjust it and repair the issues for human uses. See, the original tech was meant for healing ancients, the gate builders, over five million years ago. It was abandoned with earth because it was incomplete and lost while they fled the plague."

I tapped the table. "I just tweaked it so it doesn't make humans who use it soulless monsters like it did to the Goa'uld. It's weaker and won't extend human lifespans, mostly because I don't want it to be used as a way for immortality to be abused, but it works fine otherwise."

Omac blinked and I smiled wryly. "Sorry, you're just the first humanoid people to be revived and saved by it. I sort of had to finish working on it on the fly so I'm a bit proud of my work, it'll pass."

He nodded slowly and I brought up the hologram screen saying. "Your vitals are perfect and it seems the bed has repaired the damage to your lungs. You're the last of your people to be healed so feel free to rest here if you're tired."

He sighed. "I'm fine."

I nodded and tapped the hologram screen before putting it away. I stepped back and he asked. "Are you human like them?"

I stilled before shaking my head. "No, I am an ancient. My people built the gate systems nearly a hundred million years ago and came here eighty million years ago to start over and prevent a religious civil war. They chose logic and science over religion and cult like worshipping. Your people originated from earth which was the center of power for the ancient empire until five million years ago. They were forced to flee because of a plague and had to restart life in this galaxy to eradicate the plague because it was killing off all life in it's path."

He nodded slowly, wanting to meet with me and know more, but I told him that like the humans of earth his people are too young for anything more than basic knowledge of my people. He didn't like that, but nodded slowly, asking if that was why I was making such medical beds. I snorted lightly. "They acquired a goa'uld sarcophagus. I only refined the technology so they didn't go insane from it, nothing more."

He nodded slowly and I left him there, cleaning the hover carrier pallet. I started working on it more while they talked about what to do with the Tollans. I suggested they ask the Tollans to use their long range communications devices to contact the Nox for help. General Hammond asked which device that was and I smiled before shrugging.

He knew I knew, but I wasn't going to say. Omac said he could do it before Daniel said the Nox were as advanced as the Tollans. I chuckled. "The Nox are far more advanced. They just have a use for the technology. Have no fear, they can get your people home easily. If not they can contact the Asgard who have intergalactic ships capable of getting from here to the Ida galaxy within an hour or two. Surely they could give your people a ride."

Omac thanked us and I shrugged, tossing an M&M up in the air, catching it with my teeth. The reason I was much more relaxed was because Sam joined me for a shower while the rest were working on the Tollan's problem. They demonstrated their phase shift technology and I smiled lightly. I already knew how said technology worked and in point of fact perfected it for the drones long ago.

Lya showed up and I bowed lightly to her as she did to me. I telepathically thanked her for the assistance because I didn't wish to rely on other means unless I had to. Weeks later Jack, Sam and I were sent flying through the Arctic gate. I'd caught Sam so she was fine but Jack had a broken leg.

I put my suit on him and it patched him up even numbing the area before fixing his leg. When he was fixed up, I told him to stay off the leg because it could re-break at any time if too much pressure is applied. Jack asked as I took my suit back. "Any idea where we are?"

My suit spoke. "We are on earth in the Arctic circle approximately twenty miles out of the McMurdo Air Force Base."

Jack spoke next. "See, that's just creepy."

I shrugged. "It answered your question though. Now let's not stay here."

I walked to the ice cliff, looked around and wiped off snow before raising my arms and breaking the ice in a small aftershock bang. I pulled the DHD out and set it near Jack. "Either of you know a warmer place to go? Argos maybe?"

Sam dialed and I told my suit to mark the location before we left as it turned back into a watch. We dialed earth and gave them our code again before stepping through and being held at gunpoint when we got back to earth until General Hammond told the men to stand down. We explained the mix up while Jack shook ice out of his hair saying we should've stayed on Argos longer. I gave General Hammond the location of the gate before telling him there may be an ancient outpost near there because earth had a few including one that used to be the platform for Atlantis.

Jack asked if there was any cool toys there and I shrugged. "I didn't stick around long after we abandoned Atlantis so there could be weapons and even a world shield of there could be just an empty frozen tower and a chair platform that connects to the interstellar satellite system and gives you a good peep on what's going on out there. Either way the tower is there somewhere near the gate or it used to be. Glacial drift could've separated them and I don't have the exact coordinates or depth you'd have to dig to."

General Hammond asked. "Interstellar satellite system?"

I nodded. "They put them up all over the galaxies they lived in including the Pegasus galaxy. We used that one for strategic war positioning but we were out numbered so A for effort and all that stuff. They're cloaked, no bigger than a keg and transmit data in real time. We were primarily scientists and taking in as much data as possible was always a good thing."

I tilted my head. "If it has a weapons platform it may have a potentia, sorry, ZPM. That alone would make it incredibly useful to us."
