Ch.114

The next big mission was a basic scouting mission that turned into a Tok'ra rescue mission from a bounty hunter named Aris Bosch. He'd tried to capture us but failed when I simply knocked him out when he showed us his ship. I took the control crystals for the ship and the gate, putting them back before taking over control of the cloaked cargo ship, setting it on an expanded pallet and shrinking it to toy car size.

Jack asked. "Have I ever mentioned how cool that is?"

I grunted and stripped the bounty hunter of tech before telling them. "He was hunting a Tok'ra operative we need to find and help now."

I tossed Jack the visor telling him. "It tracks naquadah technology so lead the way and we can leave this rock."

I packed up the bounty hunter's tech and got a blood sample before leaving. Sam asked why the blood sample and I grunted. "A bounty hunter that works for the goa'uld and isn't a host is unlikely unless he can't be made a host. They'd want his skills and knowledge of tracking Tok'ra so odds are they can't make him a host. Best to figure out why and how we could do the same."

They all agreed to that and Sam asked if we should leave him. I shrugged. "I'm gonna put the gate crystals back so he can gate off world. He'll be fine because my suit's sensors aren't picking up any carnivorous wildlife nearby."

We found the Tok'ra and I contacted him telepathically, having him disable his traps before we collected them and left via the gate once I healed him. While I opened the gate to earth, Aris came running out of the woods cursing us so we left him there. The gate shut off when we arrived so he could dial out whenever he wants. The Tok'ra operative thanked us and went home while I gave the SGC all of Aris Bosch's equipment and the cloaked cargo ship for study.

Our next big mission was to a medieval village where a goa'uld possessed Unas was pretending to be a demon in Sokar's name. When it tried to attack me, I extracted the goa'uld with my suit's nanites and the Unas stomped on the goa'uld it spit out. It growled and I raised an eyebrow before it thanked me in broken English for freeing it from the Goa'uld.

It fled the village and left the planet through the stargate from what my suit's sensors showed. I skipped the next mission, working on making more gate ships for backup and upgrading the base's shields based on Aris Bosch's shield trap technology. I even worked on goa'uld tech sensor goggles, adding TER sensors to them and so much more.

I was busy working on that and more importantly a gun with TER and staff weapon auto fire, trinium bullets and so much more. Jack called it the Swiss mix because it was the Swiss Army knife of guns. It had a grenade launcher and even a miniature flamethrower so it wasn't hard to imagine. I was at the beta site, a planet that had flying retrovirus bugs before one tried to attack Teal'c last year and I caught it, connecting to the hive mind and killing them all.

Billions of said bugs had died and after a cleanup the entire planet was used as a second earth and site for strategic science studies. It's where I worked when things were too big to fit in my lab at the base. The gate was shielded and a fuck ton of precautions and security measures were taken. It was the most secure off world base earth had.

No one there went anywhere except back to earth for security purposes so there was very little chance the base would be found. Anyways, when I returned to the SGC while the marines were testing out the new weapon, I heard about Apophis's little infiltration training camp. They'd put a stop to it with a recording of Apophis's death so it was fine and we got a bunch of new training and real weapons from the mix.

Weeks later we got a message from Skaara and Kasuf, Skaara and Sha're's father. They were in danger so we hauled ass with everything we had, gate ships, humvees, tanks, marines and tons of weapons. We fought a small war on Abydos and I removed Amonet from Sha're, freeing her of the goa'uld queen and putting it in a tank in my lab to study as it was a queen. Sha're could only remember one word, Kheb.

The rest was forgotten except the atrocities. She stayed on earth with Daniel who promised to find and protect the baby boy Amonet sent to Kheb. Life goes on and I collected all the weapons and armor the Jaffa had died with trying to stop us. Kasuf and Skaara were fine back on Abydos so I called it a win.

We ended up meeting an industrial world full of old people who were effectively sterile from a pesticide issue long ago. With some studies Janet was able to alleviate some of the issues but the sterility remained so we did our best to make them comfortable before they passed away via mass suicide when they found out it was hopeless. Their world became the gamma site after all the dead were buried and the pesticide was removed and disposed of except a small quantity for study.

The real exciting shit went down when we learned Jacob, my father in law, was captured by Sokar and sent to a prison planet akin to hell called Netu. In reality it was a moon with an unstable core Sokar used to watch the suffering of others. I went down with Sam, Jolinar and Jack to mount a rescue, barely getting out while Apophis killed the head guard as a former prisoner.

We ringed out and Teal'c caught us with the cargo ship before we left while Netu blew up Sokar in his mother ship thanks to Lantesh and another Tok'ra who planned it by sending a bomb to the core of the moon. Sokar was dead but we learned Apophis gained control of Sokar's armies and ships. I told Teal'c to warn Bra'tac and Chulak which he did.

Most of the Jaffa moved to the gamma site with their families before Apophis could attack Chulak and he did. Weeks later a foothold situation nearly took place but the sensors activated and the turrets took out a group of aliens trying to infiltrate the SGC. Their technology to mimic others with holograms over the human body was sent to Area 51 for study while the world and the SG team was unfortunately written off and likely dead.

There was no pretense so we were invited to Tollana as guests for talks on peace and friendship between the Tollans and humans. Weeks later an AI nanite program tried to control us through implanted chips in our brains. My nanites in my suit removed it when it became apparent it was capable of influencing subconscious actions. Each of them had the same done and five microscopic chips lay in containers when it was over.

I kept mine for study because even the ancients didn't use such technology to learn about things in the galaxy. The rest were sent back to Urgo's home world through the gate. We were on a planet called Edora when Sam told me we were pregnant finally and while I was extremely happy, things weren't going so good for the people here. Their so called fire rain was a near extinction level event that happened every few centuries and it was coming the next day.

When it started, I made damned sure Sam was with Daniel and Teal'c while I got the people out with Jack. Some Edorans weren't cooperating and it led to both Jack and I being stuck on Edora with the gate buried. I'd been hit directly by a freaking meteor so it took a while to unbury myself. My suit was damaged beyond use and Jack told me when he and the rest found me that it'd been half a month.

I calculated where the gate should be and used the crystals carefully in that area, getting literal tons of refined naquadah after programming the crystals not to refine the gate. It was long and slow work that had me questioning whether the gate was even buried after a month straight, but I didn't give up. I eventually found the DHD in the second month and it was intact, but the gate was a separate issue because it wasn't near the DHD or if it was, it was buried so deep I couldn't find it easily.

I didn't give up though, not even when I ran out of crystals. I went to shovel and pickaxe after moving the DHD and the mountain of refined Naquadah out of the way. Another full month nearly passed before the ground gave way under intense heat at the edge of the pit I'd dug. A beam shot out and I tried my radio, getting a signal almost immediately they shut the particle accelerator off and I told them to give me a few hours to dig the gate out fully.

I radioed Jack and got no answer so I dug on my own. He hadn't come back since the first month so I was on my own. The gate weighed ten tons, the very limits of what my body could lift, but I was determined and had telekinesis to help augment my strength.
