Get Out of My Sight!

Gu Qingcheng had no idea that her question had been so funny. Suddenly, Tang Shi's lips curled up into a sneer, and he burst out laughing. Then, with an icy expression, he stared at her for an exceptionally long time before he nodded slightly, pointed to the door, and said, "You can go now!"

Tang Shi's mood had changed so quickly and without any warning that Gu Qingcheng became a little bit alarmed.

Having known Tang Shi since she'd been a young girl, Gu Qingcheng understood him very well. She could tell exactly how he felt just by looking at his eyes, his expression, and listening to what he said. In this way, she'd always been able to assess whether she'd really crossed the line with him or he was just pretending to be upset.

However, now, after just three short years of absence, she realized that she had no idea what this man, whom she'd known for more than 20 years, was thinking.

"He had told her that she could go…did that mean that she wouldn't be able to join Sheng Tang? Was he dissatisfied with how she'd served him?"

All of a sudden, Gu Qingcheng panicked. She hadn't even started on her plans for him. She couldn't afford to lose everything now.

Clenching her fists, Gu Qingcheng looked at Tang Shi with her dark eyes shining and asked in a soft, gentle voice, "Was there something that I didn't do right?"

Tang Shi's look exuded an icy chill. It was almost as if his face had been frozen. Seemingly not wanting to even look at Gu Qingcheng, he turned away, showing her his back.

Gu Qingcheng hesitated briefly, and then she leaned down and pressed her body against Tang Shi's well-toned back.

Since Tang Shi's body was a lot warmer than hers, Gu Qingcheng trembled slightly. Then, she plucked up her courage and wrapped her arms around Tang Shi's waist.

Tang Shi's body quickly tensed up. He could feel Gu Qingcheng's slender, soft body behind him, shaking gently as tremors ran through her.

She seemed very nervous, and her chest heaved up and down. Soon, he felt her breath on his face as it traveled from his ear to his cheek. The breath was followed by a kiss that landed gently on his cheek. The kiss was so light that it seemed almost nonexistent. Then, her lips floated onto his.

Although her lips were trembling violently, she put everything she had into kissing him.

Tang Shi was surprised and a little dazed. After Gu Qingcheng had been kissing him for quite some time, he suddenly grabbed her, pulled her onto the bed, and pinned her under him.

With some urgency, he kissed her back forcefully, his actions intense as his breathing became increasingly rapid.

But, as he continued kissing her, Tang Shi seemed to realize that something was amiss and stopped right away. Opening his eyes, he saw that Gu Qingcheng, pinned under him, had her eyes tightly shut. There didn't seem to be even a trace of joy or pleasure on her face. In an instant, her expression acted just like a bucket of ice-cold water that had been splashed unceremoniously over Tang Shi's head.

With his eyes narrowed, Tang Shi suddenly pulled away from Gu Qingcheng and leaped off the bed.

His sudden movement caused Gu Qingcheng to frown slightly as she sat up, looking confused.

She didn't even have the chance to ask Tang Shi what had happened when he picked her clothes up off the floor and threw them viciously in her face, shouting, "Get out of my sight!"

Gu Qingcheng furrowed her brow, not understanding why Tang Shi, who only just a short while ago had seemed ready to devour her, had stopped abruptly. She looked at him, feeling lost and not understanding what she'd done to anger him. She was unable to make any response.

Gu Qingcheng's lack of emotions or actions made Tang Shi even more angry as he shouted at her, "I said, get out of my sight!"
