Gary was packing his clothes after he had called his father. He ran through the conversation in his head, it seemed like his dad wanted him back home and was glad the other students had bullied him. He realised how much he had begged his father to go to an actual school and the whole time his father had been fully against it. Gary pondered on Ruby for a moment, when had Sheffield ever turned it's back on an allied county? He didn't know very much about what his father had done as the mayor but this didn't seem like him.
He pulled a jumper out of the dresser and folded it into his case. A car was coming tomorrow morning to pick him up and take him home. It was a 5 hour journey back home and Gary didn't want to get bored again. He wondered what he should do to keep his mind active. Then he realised something... What would he do back home? He'd already completed most of his work back home and after that? Then the door opened snapping Gary out of his thoughts. It was Dave.
"Hey! No hard feelings about Ruby's whole plan right?" Dave asked, it was probably the most Gary had ever heard him talk.
"Oh yeah, no hard feelings! I'm just leaving the school because everyone hates my guts! Thanks to you!" Gary grumbled sarcastically. Dave rolled his eyes in defeat.
"Suit yourself, life's too short to hold grudges through Sheffield." Dave mumbled, fully aware that Gary could still hear him. "If it's any consolation, I did it for the money anyway." Dave continued. This peaked Gary's interest. Money? Had someone paid him to do this? Was it Ruby?
