First Battle
"Aria. Run!" this was the last thing her parents told her as she bolted into the forest. The rain poured hard soaking her all the way but she could not rest, not with black and white pokémon that made chase.
"Zagoon!" One of the Black and white Zigzagoons charged nearly tripping her. Jumping over a rock and sliding under a fallen Oran berry tree making as much distance from the Pokémon and made a run to one of the old Hiking trails. Snarls and Howls were heard all around her.
'More of them.' The Raveonettes was surrounded she understood this, these pokémon often travel in gangs. Aria's cleated soles stopping her abruptly as she saw a long, black and white in body color, red-eyed Pokémon glaring at her. 'Linoone.'
Aria screeched as she threw her backpack at the pokémon making a small opening for her mad dash.
'Over and Under.' Aria went sliding under one of the numerous rabid pokémon that pounced. Running, she was good at it, she knew this, she just had to get to the beaten path and she'll be free.
She saw the marker, the lone Sitrius berry tree. She was home free, just a few meters to safety. The tree fell forwards as a bone-chilling howl was heard.
She saw a large Obstagoon, towering around six feet, maw opened as it dropped something then proceeded to kick it over to her.
'Papa.' Her father's head mauled. Eyes gone, nose ripped off, his face or what was left of it showed the white bone underneath the red and pink of his flesh, his tongue was gone. She looked at his killer it's maw stained with his blood. Red eyes that hungered for more.
Aria screamed either in fury or horror she didn't know as she took several stones from the rocky road and proceeded to chuck them at The Monster.
She ran straight in reckless abandon but the Obstagoon used Fury swipes at her effectively breaking one of her arms then throwing her to one of the trees with its last hit.
"Help.. me..." Gasping inhaled as much air as she could then screamed with all she had.
"Help me!" She didn't care who came, she was afraid, hurt, and wanted to live. Desperate for a savior anyone to help her. She didn't want to die. She missed her Mama and Papa. She wanted this to be a nightmare that she'd wake up from. She was crying, bawling her blue eyes out. Screaming for help as her voice began to rasp.
She looked at the Beast slowly walking towards her seemingly savoring her fear, her hopelessness.
The rain drowned all sound. She was going to die. As the numerous Black and white Zigzagoon and Linoone began to group with the Beast she began to accept what is to happen to her. She'd either bleed out or eaten alive both options she liked neither of these options.
'No... NO.' If she were to die then she rather goes down fighting! She grabbed the closest thing to her, a long thin branch then proceeds to prop her self up. Adrenaline fueling her.
'Even with one arm. I'll make them pay.'
She stood up wobbling a bit with her good arm facing the pointed tip of the branch at the fuckers. Everything hurt her arm, her body, everything. She needed to getaway for that she has to fight her way out.
She closed her eyes ready to strike, ready to fight. She let out a guttural Shout.
"AAAAAAH-"
" Camelot use Superpower!"
Her eyes widened as an Aron soared to her left and bodied the several Zigzagoon and Linoone creating a foot wide crater. The Iron Pokémon shook its head as it faced the Obstagoon.
"Are you alright!?" She turned her head to see a trainer soaked as well and eyed her with concern. Her legs gave out as the adrenaline wore off. The trainer ran towards her diving and catching her as he held her in an embrace.
"I got you. I got you." He whispered carefully rocking her like a newborn." I got you. Just stay calm and breathe. I got you."
Those words, his embrace. Just when she was about to give up and fight them, just when she was preparing to die. She looked at him, his brown eyes shone bright with life and rage. He faced The Monster with a scowl similar to a Beartic protecting its young.
"Camelot," The Aron widened its stance." Superpower!"

'This battle isn't something I want to lose.' Charles looks towards the towering Obstagoon with red stains at its maw and claws.
This isn't the Pokémon world he knew. Not the games he had played but similar to its origin. Where both Pokémon and Man were mortal and can die from the actions of each other.
He held the girl carefully and rocked her gently trying to comfort her. He glared at the Gang of Zigzagoons and Linoones, most importantly he glared at The Monster.
The blue box notification came out with the lines of [First Mission Accept?]. Accepting it, another blip came out a new menu.
[Mission: Of Tooth, Nail, and Armor]

Morbid as the mission is, it was better this way. If whatever the Goddess did to him or whatever rules this world has shaped and abided itself to be this similar to an actual game so be it. He just had to win.
He toggled to Camelot's Moves.
Superpower, Harden, Tackle, Headsmash most of these moves are Egg moves. Good. giving himself a soft nod.
He toggled to the [Examine Obstagoon?] button selecting it.

'This thing has a trainer.' his eyebrows furrowed. 'It had a Trainer. They wanted her dead.'
He never thought of people sending their Pokémon to kill other people. He scowled at the Monster. There were no bad Pokémon only evil trainers but looking at the Obstagoon smiling hungrily almost in a psychotic way made Charles think twice.
"Camelot Superpower!" Another charge towards the numerous Raccoon lackies that the Asshole led, throwing them left and right. The Obstagoon made to move.
"Camelot Harden!"
Claws from the Fury swipes bounced off the Iron Pokémon from hardening its defense. The Zigzagoons and Linoone began to try and swarm Camelot. The Armor pokémon used another Superpower to burst them all away.
'3 more before Camelot runs out of superpower.' Charles had to adjust his strategy and conserve as much of Superpower as he can cause this wasn't a one on one it was a brawl.
"Headsmash then Harden on impact!" Camelot responded with a quick dash and jump as he hardened his body for the attack toppling the Obstagoon.
[Camelot gained 11 levels!] is what the menu in front of him prompted. He smiled. 'The experience points from the Zigzagoons and Linoones that were thrown by the first two Superpowers sunk into Camelot.' If that meant what he thinks it meant then some of Camelot's HP and stamina recovered that meant they had a chance to beat it.
[Camelot is trying to learn Protect, Remove a move?]. This was their chance! He quickly toggled to Camelot's moves and removed Tackle for Protect.
The Obstagoon stood up panting its eyes filled with rage then opened its arms.
"TAAAAAAAAGOOOOOOON!" a guttural roar making Charles and Camelot flinch. It was Using Hone claws as it charged towards the Armour Pokémon.
[Obstagoon Used Obstruct! You can no longer escape until Obstagoon is Defeated!]
Charles looked over to his Aron and noticed it's Blue eyes furrowed. Camelot was pissed. He didn't need to examine him. He felt that anger and Arceus be damned He will use it!
The Obstagoon Used Fury swipes but the claws bounced off the armor pokémon. Camelot instinctively used Protect forming a teal orb that blocked the following swipe attacks.
Charles noticed a while back that the Zigzagoon and Linoone were avoiding the battle and just circled a good 20 feet with them and the battle in the middle.
Obstagoon quickly grabbed the Aron for a Submission in which Camelot retaliated using Superpower to throw his aggressor to a nearby tree. The Menu prompted again.

"Camelot ram it with another Superpower!" Camelot complied, jumped, and soared a good 3 feet above the ground directly at the Obstagoon's chest making it bounce back to the tree trunk on recoil prompting for the armor pokémon to back off a good 5 feet away.
The Obstagoon was panting, its eyes still had rage but it was weaker.
Charles silently tried to prompt [Examine Obstagoon Detailed]. If the menu had the initiative to warn him then he can at least try to make a prompt. The screen turned red and it complied!

They were winning. He smiled as he looked at the girl in his arms eyes widened as she watched the Aron protecting them.
The Obstagoon and Camelot circled around one another waiting for any signs of weakness. The Obstruct pokémon Snarled at it. Camelot replied with stomps widening his stance.
Obstagoon lunged in reckless abandon with the intent of using Submission. Time slowed for Charles and Camelot. They had one Super effective move left and they have to make it count. Two meters, One point 5 meters.
Camelot gathered all the strength it had left and waited for the signal to attack. Zero-point seven-five meters.
"Camelot SUPERPOWER!" The Aron charged straight at the Obstagoon and with a crunch broke some of its ribs in the process. The Beast fell unconscious.
The Zigzagoons and Linoone began to disperse quietly avoiding the Aron and its Trainer as a whole.
They won. Now they had to get away. Charles slipped his right arm under the girl's legs and proceeded to bridal carry her. She smiled weakly. This was not a good thing. The menu Prompted [First Mission clear!] a blip, [Choose rewards].
The menu had only the [Type in reward]. He needed something to heal the girl, she was still bleeding badly. If prompting an initiative worked then he could try getting something out of the Persona games. He typed in [Healing Bead chains] and waited.
[Are you sure?] the prompt asked. It worked. He was second-guessing but it worked. He accepted.
A chain of beads landed on his right hand he then proceeded to crush it. A warm aura covered all three of them Healing the Girl and rejuvenating Charles and Camelot. The girl smiled brighter and closed her eyes breathing slowly. Asleep huh?
Charles prompted [Healing Chain Beads Detailed].

•If Injuries are too great it will only heal them and cause them to sleep to recover faster.
This item is busted. He didn't need to think too hard. It was his go-to item back in Persona 3 convenient and effective. He looked at Camelot and nodded.
"Let's get to Gredli town and fast," Charles chuckled." I rather not have a cold by the time we get there so, Race ya Camelot?"
The Armour pokémon nodded and they made to sprint over the wet beaten path.
