In a secluded house in the battle mage Academy, two creatures were cultivating quietly.
A low grunt escaped one of the creature's mouths, "Finally!" this creature looked like a white fox; it was Lu Yao.
After a month of painstaking cultivation, Xue Mo had broken through the first realm of soul cultivation.
Soul Cultivation is divided into ten ranks.
They are generally known as: [Soul Apprentice => Soul Master => Soul Grandmaster => Soul Seed => Soul Rebirth => Soul Transformation => Exilia => Exilia Sovereign => Immortal Soul => God Spirit]
The ten ranks of Soul cultivation are divided into nine levels every rank.
In the first three ranks (1-3), the Soul cultivator will have to discover the Soul and start understanding it; these ranks are also considered and are known as the Soul understanding phase.
In the middle three ranks (4-6), the cultivator will start learning to manipulate the elements with the Soul and assimilate the affinities they have into their Souls, allowing them to create a law that is unique to them (and an everlasting Domain will surround them), the middle ranks are also known as law creating realm.
In the late three ranks (7-9), the cultivator will have to create their own Dao by combining the laws they made with the Dao they understood. They will integrate the Dao they understood with their Domain. Using their individuality as the base, they will start laying the foundation to become God's, at this stage they will have an undying and immortal Soul, that will allow them to exist forever, these late-stage ranks are also mostly known by two names (Demi-God Realm/Immortal Realm).
Even Xue Mo, in his past life, was barely able to reach the Soul Transformation Realm, and this was one of the reasons that he was able to integrate with Primordial Origin without any apparent drawbacks.
In his past life, other than him, no one was able to break through the Soul Seed Realm. The only way the cultivators there were able to learn of the later realms is through old books found in ruins and that the nine known cultivation techniques were said to contain some information to reach these ranks.
When Xue Mo and Primordial Origin combined and became the 'Dark Soul,' Xue Mo technically reached the Exilia level. Still, for some reason, maybe because he hadn't understood any type of Dao yet, it was kind of forced, which erased all his Soul Cultivation, leaving Xue Mo with only a better Soul and excellent control over it.
Lu Yao, even with better resources and better potential talent and many other advantages, was only able to reach the first rank of the first realm in a month.
This, in itself, is a great achievement as even Xue Mo, in his past life, was only able to reach the first rank of the first realm after a while year of nonstop cultivation, seclusion that was for his level at the time would have got him killed.
Xue Mo has already gone through the process of entering rank 1 level 1 of Soul cultivation, but even with that, it took him half a month to get there.
Xue Mo was someone who went through this process before coupled with his wisdom, knowledge, new Soul, and his Soul's purity and control took half a month to get there, this shows just how harder Soul Cultivation is than normal energy or body cultivation.
The reason Xue Mo started cultivating other parts of the cultivation system is because of something he found out in his previous life.
The Body, Dantian, and Soul are all connected in cultivation.
When someone cultivates the Soul alone, they will have an advantage over body Cultivators. In contrast, the ones who cultivate the Dantian, they will have an advantage over someone who cultivated their Souls only, as for body cultivators they would have an advantage over cultivators who cultivated the Dantian alone, as their bodies would be weaker.
Xue Mo stumbled upon this truth after deliberating and considering the powers of every cultivation system, something so simple, yet people have neglected to Understand.
After all, when cultivators advance in their realms, they will start cultivating the other two systems anyway. Why is that? Xue Mo asked himself this question many times in his previous life, and the answer that always came to him was. That the three systems are actually one and the same, interconnected and interchanging, they were supposed to be cultivated together from the beginning. In ancient times, they probably would have been, but as cultivation is hard. The energy (Arch) energy was decreasing over the ages, and with the scarcity of Soul cultivation techniques, this fact must have been forgotten.
Luckily for Xue Mo, he figured this fact out, helping to pave a smoother path for Lu Yao and him in the future.
Xue Mo saw that he would have to cultivate all three systems at the same time, which will not only increase his battle prowess as the three systems complement each other but that it will also help in the other two's cultivation.
Xue Mo told Lu Yao that as his plan was for them to reach a level where they can keep in check with all their cultivation, so Before Lu Yao can attempt another seclusion to try and get to rank 1 level 2 Xue Mo Explained his plan to her, and informed that after they are done with Soul Cultivation, they will have to do body cultivation.
They will keep changing and cultivating the three systems at the same time to reap all the benefits that their levels will allow without wasting anything.
Xue Mo estimated that it would take them at least another half a year to a year to break through rank 1 level 3 in Soul Cultivation.
If anyone from the Divine Hell Universe knew Xue Mo's thoughts, they would scoff at his stupidity, arrogance, and, most of all, at its impossibility.
Though it may seem stupid, in the long run, the benefits will outdo anything, and more so with Lu Yao and Xue Mo's talent.
After telling Lu Yao everything, he left her to rest before going to get more resources from Teacher and Dio and telling him that he will take another seclusion.
Going out of the house, the attention Xue Mo attracted was less than a month ago as people got used to the fact that teacher Dio got himself a disciple, and they almost forgot about Xue Mo, since he hadn't left his house for more than a month.
Not wasting time, Xue Mo arrived at Teacher Dio's house, seeing that he was busy, Xue Mo waited for 5 minutes before Teacher Dio met him.
Telling him that he will take another seclusion that might last a year, Teacher Dio was surprised, but he didn't voice any objections.
'He is working harder than I thought,' was Teacher Dio's thought process before letting Xue Mo go.
Making his way to the Treasure Pavilion, Xue Mo found a receptionist. He flashed her his token before saying, "I want resources that will last me a year." After saying that, the receptionist had a shocked expression on her face before regaining her composure, nodding her head, and leaving to fetch what Xue Mo asked for.
After giving Xue Mo the resources, the receptionist didn't forget to say, "Since you are taking resources for a while this year, you wouldn't be able to get more." Seeing Xue Mo mod his head without caring, she thought 'Cool' but kept her face stoic with a smile plastered on her face as she was trained.
Checking that everything was there, Xue Mo took the resources and left the Treasure Pavilion and made his way to his house, where he put the resources in the storage room that he finally found the use of, before making his way to the bedroom.
Seeing Lu Yao sleeping, Xue Mo let her since she has been cultivating painstakingly for a month without sleeping.
Lying next to her, Xue Mo slept, while keeping his senses out for anything or anyone that might approach them in their sleep.
