Chapter 14

"Your raid last night was wonderful. Not bad for your first try. " the female doctor said. They were beginning to have a feeling that she is more in charge than Deccan.

"A bit amusing " Mr Deccan said and some laughed.

"Yes indeed. You started a feud we didn't think of starting. We thought it was going to be a huge massacre but it was a faultless elimination. I'm so proud of you guys. " the female doctor said cheerfully.

"So how do you feel now that you are one step closer to freedom? " Deccan asked

"Good" GMN-5 said

" I kind of enjoyed flinging those men into the room, their look of surprise was heartwarming " GMN-6 said

"Those guys had really good security system but it was no match for me" GMN-9 said.

"You know sooner than later you are going to join the fun. How about you guys?" The female doctor said looking at 3, 2 and 7.

"No stress" GMN-3 said

"Humans are so predictable " GMN-7 said

"Easy" GMN-2 said. He was not very happy they had resorted to killing but right now he knew he was the only one in the sinking boat titled 'violence is not the best option".

"Okay. I'll be careful because the next might not be so easy and stress free" the doctor said. She turned to 1 and 4. They were the ones that did the killing. The ones whose opinion she was more interested in. "1? 4? any comment? "

GMN-4 just shrugged while GMN-1 didn't say anything.

The doctor looked at Mr. Deccan. GMN-4's response was not unusual but she had an off feeling about GMN-1.She didn't want to push but she'll be lying if she said she wasn't curious as to what GMN-1 actually thought about their first mission.

"Ok. GMNs Doc would be giving you sessions, especially after each assignment but feel free to talk to her or me anytime, Ok?" Mr. Deccan said

"Ok" some chorused

"GMN-1, your first" Mr. Deccan said

"Why does she have to go first? "GMN-5 questioned

"Feel free" GMN-1 said without looking at her.

"Must you pick a fight over everything? "GMN-3 said

"Fine, she goes first" GMN-5 backed off.

The doctor pondered. GMN-1 was developing an attitude, she didn't know if it was a good thing for them or not. GMN-5 seems to pick on GMN-1, somehow she felt jealousy was somewhere in the equation. She had almost all of them pegged, all except GMN-1.

After the session with GMN-1, she still had no clue where to place her. She couldn't learn anything from her few answers which were mostly one word answers.

"How did it go? " Deccan asked as soon as he saw GMN-1 walking out.

"Mostly one word answers and shrugs" she said it was clear that she was bothered

"It has come to my notice that you have become covetous " Deccan said taking a comfortable seat in her office.

"I have no idea what you are talking about " she said as she set about arranging files on her table. On second thought she stopped and faced Deccan.

"Whether you do or don't, bear in mind they are collective properties. You do not have and will not have monopoly over anyone of them. " Deccan said standing up

"I'm just doing my job"

"I'll leave you to do just that " he said and walked out.

Between GMN-1's lack of cooperation with her and Deccan's suspicions, she wasn't having a good day. She needed that girl personally and she wasn't good at sharing. She slumped back into her chair.

The next target was hers to bring or rather her husband's but she had managed to convince him they should go after a mutual enemy. She brought out a bulky file and flipped the pages. She wasn't only getting covetous, she was getting greedy and the GMNs are her ticket to a fulfilled life.

The female doctor came in to the GMNs common room with a bulky file. One like the one Mr. Deccan had brought and they knew it was time for business.

"Next target. Edward Casio. Owner of 'The Casio' base for all illegal affairs. He has a chip that is worth millions to the right buyer. It contains classified information he came about through dishonest means. We believe there are information concerning your whereabouts. He's holding an auction sale for the chip among other things. " the female doctor said.

Mr. Deccan didn't seem so concerned about this mission. The female doctor seemed more interested. She was a beautiful woman with blonde hair and blue eyes. They didn't even know her name. They just called her Doc like everyone else.

"What do you want Doc? " GMN-7 asked

"Just the chip and any other valuable that may be of worth." The female doctor said.

"Any other thing doc? " GMN-4 asked

"Yes. Edward" the doctor said making a slashing gesture around her neck.
