Immediately realizing his mistake, Feng Shui retreated to the safety of Mo Kio's back, who was left to incur the grumpy prince's wrath.
And incur his wrath he did, when Wei Jingyu whisper-shouted a hell lot of curses and added, "What the f*ck are you doing here?" Kio very nonchalantly shrugged, "Basok needed to get in the room." he said, pointing towards Jingyu's roommate, "and you weren't picking up your phone."
Wei Jingyu glared at his roommate and planted himself firmly in the doorway. There was no way in h*ll he was letting these three see Xuan while she was asleep. "Come back after half-an-hour." he said dismissively and started to close the door. But Yu Basok was apparently used to Jingyu's antics as he planted his shoe in the space between the door closed all the way.
"Come on Jingyu. I told you I have a train today. It leaves in an hour. I can't afford to stand around for half-an-hour. I'll miss my train." he said. Wei Jingyu groaned upon hearing this Basok did tell him that he was going back home for the semester break today. "It's his room too. Isn't it enough that you shut him out for the whole night?" Mo Kio added fuel to the fire, as was his habit.
"Ten. Minutes." Wei Jingyu spat out, adding a deadly pause after each word. The other two were terrified enough by whatever they saw on Jingyu's face to not argue, but Mo Kio apparently wasn't. The stupid, stubborn, pig-headed fool that he was. "Five minutes." he said, holding up his hand and wriggling his fingers.
Jingyu's face darkened further and he shut the door in their faces without another word. "I've started a timer, I'm kicking your door down after five minutes!!" Mo Kio's voice came from outside the door and Wei Jingyu almost turned around to punch his face. He stopped when he saw Ying Xuan moving in his bed.
She yawned and sat up, groggily opening her eyes to look at him. 'What's happening?' she signed, and Jingyu chuckled upon seeing how cute she looked. He walked over to his bed as Xuan stretched and rubbed sleep from her eyes. She opened her arms and Jingyu very contently slid into them, letting out a happy sigh.
His heart almost melted with happiness when Xuan snuggled deeper into his embrace. She lay her head on his chest and sighed contentedly. "Good morning beautiful." he replied, tightening his arms around Xuan, who chuckled and pulled back enough to bring her hands between them and sign, 'I most probably have bed hair and am wearing zero make-up. I look anything but beautiful.'
"I disagree. I bet if you go outside right now, just as you are. Wearing my sweats and no make-up, the whole college will either be jealous of me or you." Jingyu said, tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear.
Ying Xuan chuckled upon hearing this. No sound came out of her mouth, but her whole face lit up and shoulders shook. It had become one of Jingyu's favorite sights in the world, Ying Xuan laughing. He often liked to look at her chuckling and laughing and tried to imagine what it would actually sound like.
