Bad girl and golden boy

He had made a bun at the nape of his neck, and completed his outfit with a beige over-sized sweater. Xuan chuckled as she looked down at her own outfit. On the one day Wei Jingyu had chosen to dress like a sexy nerd, she had decided to be gangster queen. She had on a faded yellow skinny top paired with black shorts and net stockings. Xuan had made two pigtails and completed her look with a leather jacket, which was Jingyu's to be honest. She was about to walk over when Wei Jingyu reached into his pocket and pulled out a box. Xuan's heart sank. Though he had promised her to try and quit smoking, Xuan knew he still did it sometimes when he was with his friends. Jingyu had told her himself and apologized, promising that he never smoked if he could help it. 'You can always help it.' Xuan had signed and Jingyu had promised her to stop. Promised to tell all his friends he would not smoke anymore.

Ying Xuan watched as Jingyu brought out the box. She expected him to pull out a cigarette, but a giggle of relief escaped her when he took out a small chewing gum from the box and popped it in his mouth. Wei Jingyu turned in the direction of the laugh and his face lit up with a beautiful smile upon seeing the owner of the laugh.

He half-walked, half-jogged up to Xuan and gave her a quick hug and a peck on the forehead before asking, "What has got you so happy?" "Not that I don't like it, I am just curious." he added quickly. Ying Xuan smiled and motioned to the box of chewing gums, that was somehow still in Jingyu's hand. He smiled sheepishly as he pocketed the packet. "It seems like the best alternative. Keeps me distracted." he said. Xuan nodded thoughtfully and signed, 'Is it helping?' "It's fine." Jingyu replied with a shrug.

The next instant, his face changed and took on a whining expression as he said, "I need a new packet though. I hate this one." 'Why?' Xuan asked with a indulging giggle. Wei Jingyu said one word, "Mint." taking out the box and shoving it under Xuan's nose for her to read. Ying Xuan shook her head with a sigh. Jingyu hated anything mint flavored with a passion. 'Why did you buy this in the first place then?' she asked. Wei Jingyu's lips curved into a pout (yes, the man actually pouted) as he said, "It was either this or strawberry lollipops."

In her defense, Ying Xuan tried, she tried her level best to hold in her laughter upon hearing this sentence. She might have succeeded, had her mind not thrown an image of Wei Jingyu dressed up as a kid eating a lollipop in front of her.

Jingyu's pout deepened as Xuan's whole face contorted with laughter. "Are you laughing at me?" he asked, narrowing his eyes. Ying Xuan could do nothing but shake her head, wiping away the tears that had formed at the corner of her eyes. Wei Jingyu's expression clearly showed that he did not believe her, but he let the topic slide for the time being. Instead, he focused his attention on Ying Xuan and a smile tugged at his lips as he said, "Did we swap personalities today or what?"
