A black sedan car stopped gapping a distance between the stop and the place where MinJun was seated. The driver pulled open the passenger door and a 173 cm tall young boy walked out in a graceful manner. The boy was dressed in black from head to toe. His silk black shirt was rolled reaching his elbows while the upper two buttons were left undone giving a view of his white smooth collarbone. His outfit was well matched with a tailor-made black jeans folded up to his knees just 2 inches above his black sports shoes even the luggage beside him was black in colour. This showed how much the boy favoured the colour black. The place where he stood became a canvas while he himself gave a vibe like that of some painter's masterpiece.
MinJun dazedly gape at the person, spell-bound by the black enchanter. When he finally managed to collect his thoughts together, his lips couldn't stop from turning up in a pleasant grin. HaeSung had unexpectedly kept his words. Although late, he really did arrive, didn't he?
MinJun happily walked toward HaeSung. As his steps closed the distance between them his throat began to feel dry. He realized that no words could be spoken as if his lips were glued together.
'Am I feeling nervous? Or having a sudden panic attack!'- MinJun thought slowing down his pace.
On the other hand HaeSung who had already spotted MinJun didn't bait a second eye to him instead his eyes were examining his surrounding in search of something.
"Hey don't tell me you planned taking a cab. Where is your car? Why can't I see it?"
HaeSung locked his questioning gaze on MinJun who embarrassingly missed his gaze looking everywhere but in his eyes.
"That..I ..I do not have one."
Sensing the shift in his mood MinJin hurriedly added hoping to soothe his displeasure a little.
"I mean not for now. I had already talked with the dealer..I will buy one soon..For now can..can we take a cab..please!"
MinJun pleaded in order to gain a little bit of sympathy from HaeSung. And to his luck, HaeSung really did yield.
The two of them boarded inside the cab that drove towards the apartment MinJun had bought recently.
The atmosphere inside the cab was awkwardly frozen still. Both of them sat at the two ends separated by a handful distance. A gap was thus maintained which could seat a third person with ease.
"Did I make you wait for long?"
HaeSung's words rung in the closed serene space cracking the ice shell that was formed because of their silence.
"No..No..You didn't. To be honest I arrived an hour early. While I was waiting for you it made me more than anxious thinking that you must have come and left already. Haha..."
Sigh, such a clumsily woven lie and here he expects not to get caught red-handed.
HaeSung shifted his gaze looking towards the boy in his left. In his eyes hovered a complicated mist. It was all under his calculations. He had deliberately arrived late. He wanted to make MinJun wait for him till long. The few men he had secretly planted around the school accurately delivered him the information about the situation at hand. And according to them MinJun dwelled at the same place from early morning until his arrival.
'Was this boy's maths weak to this extent? Yeah. Just an hour. Four in the morning till six in the evening. Does it count as an hour?....Anyway why should he care.In the end the outcome turn out as per his wish.' -Thinking this way, HaeSung drew back his gaze and paid him no heed.
The cab stopped in front of an orange colored brick building. Two of them climbed inside the building and entered their apartment.
"Is this your new apartment?"
HaeSung questioned. He had to admit that the flat, though smaller than his own home, it was well designed and quite a fresh sight.
"En. Do you like it?"
MinJun cautiously sized up his expression but was unable to read it.
It was okay. But why must he say it aloud.
" Not liking. The flat is too small. My room likely is bigger than this."
Although it was an exaggeration but who cares. HaeSung stood near to the window and looked outside. At a straight distance from where he stood, he saw a music academy. He furrowed his brows in dissatisfaction. The thing he hated the most was any disturbance caused while he was asleep. A pin drop sound would make him unable to get a wince of sleep. And the academy next building, wasn't it a perfect source for his irritation.
"I said I won't live here. You get another one."
MinJun was confused. He moved his gaze outside the window wanting to know what made HaeSung look sour.
" Ah..that you don't have to worry about it. The landlord has personally vowed that every building in this block are sound-proof. So..."
"And you blindly trusted his words. What if it was just a luring tactic? Aren't you naive."
HaeSung sneerd. " My mistake. How could you be naive? I must have forgotten about the way you caged me ." With each of the words spoken his tone grew frostier than before.
MinJun lowered his eyes. His eyes flickered, concealing a hurtful expression.
" I am sorry! But today it's late.. let's contact the house dealer next day..I would make dinner for you. What would you like to eat?"
Saying so MinJun walked toward the kitchen counter.
HaeSung squinted the retreating back.
"Whatever?"
He rolled his luggage bringing it towards the two doors which were likely their bedrooms.
"Which one is mine?" He darted his eyes back and forth.
"I haven't chosen for myself. Both are cleaned and organised thus you can make your choice." - Came a faint voice answering him.
After a consideration HaeSung chose the second door and stepped in. When he came out refreshed while wearing his home pajamas, the table was all set up with varieties of dishes still ozing warm mist and delicious aroma. Without waiting for MinJun who was still inside the kitchen preparing more dishes HaeSung sat on the chair picked up the spoon and took a small bite of fried rice. The taste gradually melted inside his mouth as he hummed half closing his eyes savouring the taste one by one.
Looking at the half emptied table MinJun smiled in surprise. He never knew HaeSung got a noteworthy appetite.
"Do you like the food?"
"Edible."
After dinner, MinJun collected the plates in the sink ready to scrub them clean while HaeSung returned to his room and flopped lazily on the soft mattress. Today's fill was one of the delicious delicacy he ever tasted and to be honest it was even more tastier than many of their restaurants.
Heaving a soft sigh he sat upright on the bed and moved his sight towards the study table where he had put the rotatory phone. A week ago he was pranked by someone. He felt strange . Later he inquired grandpa Wurt and asked him who else knows the number and felt shocked to know that there were none. Then the person who had called him that day, how did he get it?
HaeSung brought the rotatory phone to his bed while he seated cross legged dazedly looking at the old metal device. Suddenly the ringing sound echoed inside the room. He picked up the phone and pressed it close to his ear. And just like before no one spoke. Frustrated, HaeSung raised his voice while complaining to other person-
" Who the hell are you? Are you a mute? Didn't anyone tell you not to randomly dial anyone's number. Be honest. Are you the same person who pranked me last time?"
He rained his doubts upon other person. The person on the other end finally parted his mouth and spoke nothing else but kept apologizing to him.
