12. Who is it?

On their way back the girls looked at Lee Xiaoqing's pale face and shook their heads. "We need to call the doctor."

Even thinking about the dark brew her body winced and shook in disgust. "Ugh, bitter medicine. Let me just sleep over and digest property. No need to call the doctor. Really..."

Lee Zhenzhen started laughing. "You are so scared of bitter medicine, that you might get healthy before we get back home."

"Or she might run and hide like last time..." The twins teased her when they remembered how she hated the medicine and his in the garden only not to drink it.

Lee Weiming knew that girls were teasing her only to take her mind from her discomfort and make her bit more relaxed. He already sent in advance a servant to tell elders to call the doctor.

As soon the carriage came close to the door servants rushed to help going ladies coming down and the surrounding crowd could really see the four beauties that everyone spoke off.

Lee Zhenzhen held Lee Xiaoqing's hand and the twins held each other's hand while descending right behind them. With a calm face and smiles on their faces, they chirped with each other while entering through the gate door.

A young man in dark clothes pulled his rains and turned to go back. Somehow he was worried. Will she be able to adapt to this world?

After all, girls in their world would not be able to handle many things... Let's hope her stomach pain can get better now. With such thoughts, he went home and sat in front of his grandfather and told him his decision.

"Are you sure about that decision?"

"Yes."

"You won't regret it?"

"No."

"Will you stop answering with short sentences!"

"Yes."

General Heng Mingyu was actually a chatty person but he had a grandson that had a hard time talking. Since he woke up from his fever he became even less talkative. He rolled his eyes and hit the table. "Explain, don't just give me tiny fractions."

Heng Weiming sighed. "Grandfather, Lee family is the best to get connected to, considering many things. Their actions, conduct and background. I just offered help, nothing more or less."

"Your words might be true but why actually?" A younger man came in and looked at him warmly. "Is there another reason?"

Heng Weiming nodded. "Not only borders are dangerous. The royal family is like forest filled only with dangerous animals. The Lee family is famous that is for many generations loyal to the crown to that amount that they almost were destroyed multiple times."

Heng Weiming stood in front of the man and rubbed his head. "Father, I just hope that the girls of Lee family won't get involved with royals. Their lives might become messy if they do."

Heng Moling was in his best years. Young heroic face, wide shoulders, tall stature and heroic bearing. But he had one problem, he was just as chatty as his father so he just leaned a bit forward and winked at him.

"Come, tell me."

"What?"

"The name, of course."

"Hm?"

"Don't you Hm me. The name of the girl in Lee family that you want to protect."

Suddenly his grandfather looked at him with a huge smile.

"So, you do have one of them in your mind."

"No."

"You liar. Who is it?"

"Like I said before..."

"Liar, liar... Stop lying. Speak. What is her name?"

The old General had a sudden idea. "What if we engage you with all of them?"

Heng Weiming flatly refused. "No thank you. Having too many women is bothersome. Arguments, fights and jealousy. I have no time for such a mess. One day when I marry, I will take only one wife."

Heng Moling sheepishly smiled. "Well, you can have concubines..." Bit stopped as he saw his sons face becoming dark.

A sudden smirk could be seen on Heng Weiming's face. "Father, concubines...? So I have to worry if one of those poor souls get jealous about the main wife and tries to kill her?"

His fathers face changed. He saw Heng Weiming bowing down and then just going away without even saying one more word.

"He holds grudges for a long time." He whispered.

"Yes, he does. You know that he will never take another woman into his household after what happen to his mother." Heng Mingyu patted his son's hand.

"She was my childhood friend. All I wanted to do is to give her some security in her life. I didn't expect that she would cover the main wife's position and try to kill her." His eyes clouded as he thought about that young woman.

"That might be so. Jealousy is a scary thing. That is the reason I never had a concubine. I think its bothersome, just like Weiming said. My father had two women that fought every day. My uncle had five of them and two lost their children in jealous fights. And think about royal houses. How many children is getting killed only in their family?"

The two men became silent for a moment.

"Father, I know that bringing Liling was wrong. I never even touched her. After she lost the whole family in that disaster and was left with nothing, I thought I could give her some security. But I never thought she would..."

He thought about the moment where he found his wife on the floor unconscious, while Liling stood over her with pot in her hand and crazy expression on her face. When she turned to look at him she mumbled. "You are mine now, mine, just mine..."

Just then he knew that his stupidity almost killed his wife. At that moment a young boy rushed to his mother and quickly picked her up and carefully put her into the bed.

Liling rose her pot one more time and was about to hit him when the boy turned around and just stared at her with an icy smile. "Woman, you are my father's friend. Nothing more than that. After doing this, do you really think you will be left unscathed?"

At that time he actually ignored his existence in the room. Like he was air, and he still has never forgiven him.

"After that woman was gone he became even quieter. If he like one of those girls, we might as well propose officially. But we need a name."

"How many are in Lee family?"

"It seems four of them. And each of them is a beauty..." Said his main steward after he was asked.

"Then, let's see if they even accept our proposal. Hm, before we leave we could invite a few families to us. Maybe then we could see..."

"Yes, that wouldn't be a bad idea..."
