Chapter 226: Trafficked Labour

Vid waited for her husband to snore. Ain got yanked as the pocket got swing. It jumbled him. It had him almost vomiting and dizzy. Ain steadied himself and went outside of Vid's pocket. Ain climb up to her hair and secured himself on her bun.

Ain thought that he will be caught but thanks to Vid's sloppy scratching to avoid her hair from being messy.

Ain observed where would the baroness take him.

Vid halted behind the green house. She walked at the peak of the valley and entered the water. Ain was surprised and taken a back to see the baroness meet up with another man. The man stood by the edge of the water.

Ain ducked and mingled with the baroness' hair. The man in his orange robe and strange outlook spoke with vindicated voice.

"Your here loyal customer. I have read the stars for you. Your husband knew you were going out and is been actively committing his fun with the maids. Get home earlier. Don't walk through the door. Climb up your window."

Ain heared the baroness weeping as she encircled the house and climb up the window as said by the astrologer. When she entered the room she witness her husband committing what has the man told him.

"What do you think your doing Pyo?" Vid questioned in surge of silence tempest.

The baron and his maid were shocked to see Vid stood by the end of the bed.

"No, she fall ill, I am helping her as the master of the household." Pyo reasoned out to which the maid agreed.

"Your not a nurse! I never saw anyone who tended a patient all stark naked!" Vid argued as she glare at the two.

Pyo snorted at her and shrugged.

"Now that you know, you can leave this place with your mouth zip. Your no fun at all! Well yeah, your good with the herbal innovation but other than that.... Your barren. You can't give me a child."

Vid clutch her pocket in pure range. Her tears twinkle from the evening curtain.

Pyo stood up and was about to approach Vid but she stepped backward. She countered Pyo's extended hand.

"Don't touch me! Your gross. How can you devour the people who are wisely entrusted to you?"

Pyo smirked and replied.

"How can you say that when your one of them?"

Vid continued to step backward as her husband kept his invasion of space. Vid got her back on the window and Pyo planted a pecked on her forehead before pushing her out of site as he whispered.

"Your a profitable helper but is barren. Your a curse to me and my ancestors."

Vid hugged herself and accepted her fate that she will die from falling on the window as the astrologer said. When the most unexpected thing happened. The space got cut off and Vid got secured with the Tale Bearer's hand. Vid can hear a faint familiar voice. When she woke up her view got in contact with the royal aid who was their previous guest.

Evi approach her with a warm smile.

"How are you feeling?"

Vid started to cry helplessly.

The team heared the full details and was able to grasp the situation. Evi reported the incident and brought the baroness with the duchess. Tera was glad to hear that the baroness is gifted in innovating

the herbal medicine industry. Mem arrested Baron Rudu for attempting to kill his wife and was witnessed against by his own maid.They got another hand but is still unable to put a solution on the

infection.

After further investigation and interrogation Rudu confesses that he was the one who created the diseases imparted on the animals. Hessie complained about his horses being killed due to his insolence and was angry to confescate every thing in their household as he donated it on the remote villages.

Vid later on found out that the problem was not with her but it was Pyo. She can concieve and was healthy. When she confronted Pyo about the issue. The man remained silent in disgrace with shame. Vid also questioned him about the plants he used in infection the animals and later found out that their green house was full of worms with venomous blood and cell. Vid decided to removed all the plants on the green house and burn the said household. She replanted the herbs on Tera's care.

Day by day Vid started to be part of the duchess' team and was united with the gang. The medicine produced by Hexel and Lehi successfully got injected to all the animals who recieved the free cure from the baron. Later on, the animal's well being improved from being unhealthy to being fruitful.

Tera bought a whole bunch of horses as Hexel and Hessie repairs the barn. The four horses that recovered had been in cared of by Vid. She gradually feed them and had them hygienic. When they can stand tall and proud. Vid advices the duchess' to have the horses be treated like human.

"Duchess, inform the duke that he needed to have them put on daily exercise and regular health check up. Plus keep the barn clean and sanitized."

Cyrus personally visited the green house that was in cared of with Vid. Cyrus noted the improvement and acknowledge Vid's herbal talent. When he started to send Kiel and Lila to visit all the Kingdom's pet and animal care. They are able to see that most of the animals were being abused physically. Kiel passed a law against it and Evi also prospossed the empowerment if marraige.

Vid thank Ain for saving her. Ain just waved it and spoke.

"Your life is not based in other people's

prediction. The stars are creation like us. If you follow what the flesh scripted you to do then you will suffer something that your not supposed to experience."

Vid bowed her head in full acceptance from the correction. Vid decided that listening to someone younger than you is not that bad after all.
