C259: Different Face.

Ain nodded when Cherith said that he is indeed a boy. The barber needed to put on a boyish touch and his owl like figure look neat with his mettalic gaze uncurtained. No matter how Ain look at the boy he resembles Nevi so much.

"Tell me Cherith who is your mother?" Ain pondered.

"I don't know." Cherith responded.

Ain suspiciously eyed the boy and grabbed his shoulder.

"Just tell me the truth. You know right? What is her name? Where did she came from and why do you look like that guy?" Ain sounded desperate that Kish and Fur felt pity for Cherith.

"I really don't know. I was raised by birds literally." Cherith confessed.

Ain finally halted when Urchin voiced out.

"It's bad to prey on people's lives when your not invited to do so, is what uncle Waheb used to say."

Kahieli was assigned by Kish to test Cherith's gift since they suspect that he is Nevi's offspring.

Kahieli started with his fist mid air and prayed.

"Our God who struck our darkness with light that shone and broke the chains from our wrist. We humbly ask your assistance in this training. Amen."

His glass like bead formed into a chain and he swung it to catch Cherith who easily defended himself with a single feather.

He darted his feather that scratch Kahieli's right cheek. Sycamore and Nimrod got angry and was about to attack Cherith but Kish halted them by clapping his hands.

"Well done. Thank you for assisting Kahieli. And you two please drop it. I am sure Cherith did not intend it to happen."

Cherith bowed his head and apologized.

"I am sorry. I got caught up with your actions. My response was inaccurate."

Kahieli just waved it off and replied.

"No, you did well." But his face look stern that Cherith thought he was still mad.

"How old are you?" Sycamore asked.

"Seven." Cherith replied.

"Your the same age as Urchin and Ole." Nimrod said as they walk toward the kitchen for dinner.

Their class were different from how Urchin was being taught in the palace. Urchin realised that all his lessons were in the degrees category which made all the lesson easy for him. Ole and Cherith are doing their best on their own but Urchin would help them during their break and lunch. People were surrounding Cherith for being new and unusual which made Urchin glad since he can breath.

During their class Ole noticed how the teacher's class record would flip by it's own.

Ole taught that she was dreaming but her sense of hearing was strong that she can hear how the paper crumples and folds.

Crisp smooth surface get rustling. It got offending when Ole saw how it fold itself into crane, heart, skull and monster. Ole got annoyed and threw her pen on the front desk that shocked the teacher since it hit his butt as he is writing on the board.

The teacher scolded her for throwing her pencil and was sent outside the room for punishment.

Ole talk about the paper changing it's face during their class and Urchin confirmed it. Cherith was clueless since he was at the edge of the class. The triplets were laughing at how Ole got thrown out for punishment.

"What should we do about it?" Ole asked after giving the boys a good smack on the back of their head.

"Yep.That is a good question." Urchin confirmed.

"We will need to consult Ain about this." Kahieli added as the school bell ring. A cue for the afternoon class.

Their white blouse and purple pants and skirt got tinted with felted sheet of vegetable fiber laid down on a fine screen making the water in suspension.

When Ain and Fur heared about it from their earing communication device. The two investigated about the papers annoying some kids and pranking them but Ole was the first one to complain. Fur checked the social media and stumbled a site that says about a grade school student being harassed by the paper. Fur spoke about the concern with Ain and they ventured to the hospital and the kid was diagnosed having some hallucination.

Fur and Ain bought in some gifts as they interrogate the kid. The boy looked frightened and haggard. His face were pale and was weakened.

"No. Don't come here!" The boy yelled. His sapphire lense were shaking and his yell carried doubt.

"It's okay we understand you and we believe what you saw." Fur stated.

"Those people said the same but they were laughing at me behind my back." The boy pointed.

"We have a girl named Ole. She was pranked by a paper that was making faces during her class and was punished because of it. So we are here to let you know that we can relate and we need your help." Ain explained

The boy's face suddenly relaxed.

"It was during our class when my teacher's class record started moving and is making fun of me when I ignored it. I was surprised that it followed me home."

"Did you notice how it followed you?" Ain asked.

"No, I was doing my homework when the class record were found inside my bag. I phoned my teacher and she came to pick it up from our house but when I was sleeping. I heared the noise of paper crumpling. When I opened my eyes I saw the same record book and it started to make faces. It was scary. I tried to yell but the paper covered my mouth. Then they started to hurt me and push me off my room window." The boy testified.

"It must have been hard for you." Fur said.

"Did it spoke?" Ain added.

"No. It just kept rattling." The boy replied.

"What is your name?" Fur asked.

"I am Agsus." The boy introduced.

"How old are you?" Ain followed up.

"10, isn't it that this should be the first thing you asked?" Agsus stated.

Ain and Fur just scratch their head and handed him a tea.

"This lemon grass will help you settle down. Agsus." Ain advised as they bid goodbye.
